Caleb-
Feeling like we got off subject, by a long shot, my gaze kept moving toward Trav. I understood what Kyra had been saying, but that didn’t mean I was okay with him being out and about like this. I still didn’t trust the guy.
As if she completely forgot about me still being here, Kyra got busy with her mother as they went through some books. Standing here, I felt like a complete idiot. I know she was blown away by the new development, as was I, but that didn’t mean we had to push the current issue aside.
Clearing my throat, I hoped to get her attention. After a few seconds, she looked up at me, which I took the time to glance over at Trav once she did. When I looked back at her, she was also looking at Trav, with a sour expression plastered on her beautiful face.
“He stays.” She said, without looking at me again.
As if the subject was dropped, she returned to give her attention back to the slew of books that were
Kyra-“Get Zac and Alec.” I told Caleb since I was unable to link with them. What I was about to do, I knew Caleb wouldn’t approve. Which is why I wasn’t going to tell him my plan. One way or the other, I was going to start taking a stand on what I believed was the right thing to do.It didn’t take long for Alec and Zac to arrive. Not even seconds after they arrived, my mother and Rex showed up as well. Now that they were here as well, I felt more comfortable with my plan. Turning towards Zac, I placed my hand on the barrier.I felt it vibrate under my touch, almost as if it wanted to respond to me. It was a weird sensation that traveled all the way to my toes. I could feel the energy that moved through me practically dance.I wasn’t sure if it was the babies or my own body responding, either way, it felt good. Not needing to say a word, Zac moved to the barrier. In a few simple words, the barrier separated, only
Kyra- “Max, do you know who your parents are?” I was careful how I put my question because I wasn’t sure he would get my meaning. “I was created from magic.” Max responded as if it was the easiest thing for him to answer. “Would you mind explaining that?” My mother was the one to ask the question. As if he just realized there were others around, Max turned to look at my mother. He gave her a confused look, then turned to look at my brothers and Caleb. His eyes widened when he saw Caleb. “You have eyes just like mine, except yours are red.” Max said in amazement. “That is right, but would you mind answering the kind lady’s question?” Caleb said, redirecting Max’s attention back to what my mother had asked. “Oh, that is easy.” Max beamed, turning back towards my mother. “A witch was hired by Killian to have me created, so I could be a child for him and his mate. They told me I was a special gift as the moon goddess didn’t allow t
Kyra-“Save it, I don’t want to hear it. I already know. If you so much as try to come near this territory again, I will make sure you see the power I possess. If I so much as sense you near Max, I will make you wish you never crossed my path. Do I make myself clear?” I told them, keeping my voice firm, and filled with the promise I was bestowing upon them. Each one of them nodded their head instantly. Not saying another word, they all turned to leave. Except for the female, who looked longingly towards Max.“I can’t have children. I love him!” The female exclaimed, just before she lunged past me.Not giving her a chance to get close to Max, I reached out to grab her by her hair before she got to far. Pulling back, I sent her flying with all the strength I possessed. Exhilaration filled me at knowing I hadn’t been bluffing when I told Caleb and the others, I was fully capable of taking care of myself, pregnant or
Kyra- Just in the nick of time, I ducked to avoid the blow to the head. Before standing up, I lunged forward. My right shoulder came into contact with his midsection. Using all the strength I possessed, I slammed him up against the door. The sound of a heavy object, hitting the floor, rang out so loud I jumped slightly. I figured it was the sledgehammer falling, which meant he no longer had a weapon. Being he was human, I felt like I had the advantage here. Except he was stronger than most humans. Now that I knew he was the mate Cory had been speaking of, I understood why. He held a semblance of the strength his mate had, even if he was just human. Travis tried to push me away, but I held tight as I used my fist to punch him in his side, repeatedly. I didn’t let up as I thought of what to do. I wasn’t going to kill him, because now we needed to find out his true intentions. I wanted to hit myself for my stupidity in believing his story. Now I
Caleb-My need for her grew at knowing what she had experienced by herself. If something had happened, she and the babies could have been hurt. It was like I have become ravenous as I kissed her.My hands moved over her body, feeling everything, I could reach. Her skin felt soft under my fingertips, only causing my desire for her to increase. As quick as my hands could move, I ripped away her clothing, not caring that I was tearing them.I needed her more than I have ever needed her in the past. The way she responded to me only fueled my actions further. Pulling my lips from hers, I searched her eyes, to make sure this is what she wanted. The passion and desire that spread over her face were all the encouragement I needed. Placing my hands under her ass, I lifted her until her legs were curled around my hips. Needing her now, by any means necessary, I didn’t take the time to get her worked up.I had checked that she was wet, by using one of my hands to reach under her to feel her. She
Kyra-We didn’t leave first thing in the morning as I had hoped since Caleb wanted to try to get a little more information out of Travis. This time when he interrogated him, it didn’t bother me that he went to the extremes that he did. I still couldn’t believe I had been fooled by his games.Regardless how much torture Caleb and my brothers put him through, he remained solidified in his stance to not speak. It wasn’t until later in the afternoon that Alec took me to see our mother. I was glad that she had kept Max occupied. The last thing I wanted was to upset him. When this was all over, I would be sure to make sure he knew what it was like to know his mother, if only he had the chance to get to know his father. He was practically the spitting image of Hunter.“To what do I owe the pleasure? I doubt you have come here for a visit. What has happened?” My mother asked, joining us in the garden, where she asked to have us wait for her. Giving her a detailed, yet brief explanation, abou
Hunter-For some reason, I didn’t feel right, like something was wrong but I didn’t know what. Perhaps it was the impending circumstances that I was sure was about to begin. I was waiting on Artemis, who said that when she returned it would be time for me to do what she needed me to do.I hated this waiting though, because I was becoming increasingly impatient with finding the female that filled my every waking thought. I still wasn’t sure who she was, but I felt like I needed to find her, soon. The closer it got to me leaving this place, the more worried I became.Last night when I woke up, I had a dream about the female and another man. I tried to keep myself from seeing what I had, but nothing worked. I had watched as they made love and it hurt me more than I liked.“Mistress is back.” One of the demons that came to get me said from the doorway of my bedroom.I really hated when everyone just came into my room without a care. Sighing, I waited for the creature to leave, before head
Kyra-It has been a couple of days since I riled the pack to get them ready to face this looming threat hanging over our heads. Ever since, I keep getting this feeling as if I was being watched or something. I haven’t told Caleb because I didn’t want him to worry.Since I did believe I was being watched, I had everyone speak through the pack link about the plan. Now that I was mated with Caleb, I could now link with him through our bond, yet I still couldn’t link with the pack.I just wished I could have been ready sooner to mate with Caleb because it was nice to be able to speak to him privately now. Things between us have been great, well ever since the red has disappeared from my eyes. I was beginning to think it was the cause of my sudden outburst with Travis and Cory.I didn’t feel bad about killing Cory, because I still felt it was the right thing to do. Caleb also suspects that our mating may have linked our powers briefly. In a way, it made sense, because I didn’t feel that sa
