Kyra-
Moving off Caleb, I collapsed onto the bed beside him. I wasn’t sure what time it was, but I could see the sun peaking through the curtains. In all the years I have been with Hunter, I don’t even think we pulled an all-nighter like Caleb and I just did.
Not saying we didn’t go for a long time, I just don’t remember going from sunset to sunrise. I felt like I still had scads of energy to continue to go for longer. The only reason we had to stop, was because I wasn’t sure if I could handle another intense orgasm like I have had all night.
“Kyra, I l…” Caleb began but cut himself off.
Turning onto my side, I bent my arm so I could use my hand to prop my head up. I noticed that his eyes still remained that deep crimson color, yet I couldn’t sense anything about him that would cause his eyes to change like that.
Years ago, I remembered his eyes had changed a dark blood color when his wolf was
Kyra-Caleb didn’t say anything for a long time. I was beginning to think he wasn’t going to say anything at all. Minutes began to tick by, which made me feel a little awkward. We sat there looking at each other, neither of saying a word. I was beginning to think that I needed to say something else to assure him. When he pulled back from my touch and moved off the bed, I thought maybe I had said something to upset him.It was hard to tell from the way he was keeping silent. Facial expressions, I felt, were important for others, in the sense it allowed someone to gauge one’s reaction. If someone was feeling a certain way, yet they hid it, it was hard to know how to approach something. It was one thing for me to handle my own problems, it was another matter entirely when I had to be there to help other’s problems. Not that I couldn’t handle it, the difference was that when they didn’t show their emotions or when they hid
Kyra-“Just remember we live in a world where we have enemies everywhere if we aren’t careful.” I told them.“We will do better.” Kalen asserted.“Now, how would you like to help me find a way to help Caleb?” I asked, just before biting into the apple I grabbed.“Help him how?” Ryleigh asked. She picked up both her and her brother’s cereal bowl, taking it to the sink to rinse off before placing it in the dishwasher. Watching the two of them together, made me wish that I had grown up with a sibling. I was close with my brothers, just not in the same way they were close with each other.Once she was finished with the dishes they had dirtied, I quickly explained in minimal detail what Caleb had told me. I didn’t want to give too much of what he told me, considering it wasn’t my place to say. Figuring it wasn’t terrible to give them at least an idea, it may end up bein
Kyra-Everyone stopped doing what they were doing the moment I practically screamed. The thing about what I found was that pertained more to me, but it did mention something about the one I have a life bond with. I was hoping to find information about Caleb’s ancestors, but this was better than what we have found so far.“What is it?” Kalen asked.Everyone moved to circle around me. Anna leaned in closer to look over my shoulder, while Ryleigh moved behind me, and Kalen sat on the other side of me on the bag. Finding the place in the book that I had read, I cleared my throat so I could read it aloud. Other than the one sentence, I wasn’t even sure what I had found.“He who completes the life bond with the white wolf will be awakened. Within her blood is the key that opens the doors. When she finds the one who bonds with her completely, through life itself, she will find a bond that is pure…” I read but had to cut
Caleb- Spending most of the morning and part of the afternoon with Nick, I was starting to get annoyed. Not at him per se, but because I wanted to go see Kyra. After some thinking on it, I realized that I had no issue with just giving her the time she needed. If friends with the added sexual bonus, I would give it to her. I have waited this long to be with her, I shouldn’t have a problem with waiting longer. This was more than what I had with her, so I was going to take what I could get. “Caleb, are you paying attention?” Nick asked, bringing my focus back to him. “Yeah, you were saying something about documents.” I responded. It wasn’t that I wasn’t paying attention, I was just getting bored with all the shop talk. We have been at this all day so far. I think I have even signed my name a hundred times. Not to mention I had received more papercuts today alone than I have my entire life. Who would have thought that becoming Alpha would
Kyra-Right now, I wished more than anything I could just shift. The need to get out for a run was strong, probably stronger than ever. So much has happened lately that I just felt that I needed a release of energy.I thought maybe it was a release of power that would help, yet when I tried, nothing happened. This was the first time I have had my abilities fail me when I needed them. I didn’t know if it was because of my pregnancy or not. After running out of the house, I just kept running. My mind was in a state of suspended animation. It was as if no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t process anything.I knew someone was following me, but I didn’t care. As long as they didn’t catch up to me, I was fine. To say that I was pissed off was the least of my worries. More than anything I felt like all the air in my lung had just evaporated.Making out to the tree line of the woods, I took a hard right. I wasn’t intere
Hunter- Something didn’t feel right, I couldn’t place what it was. It was like there was a tightness in my chest. Almost like I was upset about something, but I wasn’t. Currently, I was sitting down in the middle of my cell, chained to the cement. I had thought I was almost free of this place last month after getting a bar removed from its placing. That hadn’t been the case. The instant I tried to slip past the bars, which had been big enough for me to squeeze through, I was slammed backward by a powerful force. Even a month later my head was still ringing occasionally from when my head hit the bars on the other side. So much for thinking they weren’t paying attention. They were, or rather the female that came by every so often, but refused to tell me what she wanted from me, was keeping an eye on me. After I had nearly escaped, she had arrived just in time. I thought she would have been pissed or something. It was something alright. Amusement
Caleb-I had followed Kyra around for the rest of the day. By the time she went back to the house, it was well after dark. It didn’t seem like she noticed I followed her. When she went into my room, I was a bit surprised.Until I tried opening the door, only to find it locked. I shouldn’t be surprised that she did it, since I was sure she was upset with me. I thought about knocking, just to see if she would talk to me.Deciding against it, I went downstairs to see if I could find Nick. I found him in his office, playing a video game on the television he had set up. By now I figured he would have grown out of it.“Hey.” I said, walking into the room, not bothering to knock.“Is she okay?” Nick asked. He didn’t even bother looking up from his game. It had always annoyed me when he didn’t have the decency to shut it off or at the very least pause it when someone was talking. Things haven’t c
Kyra-Trying to keep myself busy, as well as distracted since I told Caleb I couldn’t handle what happened between us, I decided to go spend time with Mel. This morning when I woke up, I thought about going to see Samantha, but reconsidered it because I knew she had a history with Caleb. At least in the sense that he was best friends with her old mate. The last thing I wanted was for her to tell me I was wrong with what I did to Caleb. She was my best friend, but she would possibly be biased concerning Caleb. In a sense, I just wasn’t willing to take the chance. When I reached Mel’s office, I found her on her computer, with her door open. Walking in, I tapped my knuckles on the door, to alert her of my presence. I wasn’t sure what I was going to talk about, I just figured she may help distract me.“Well good morning, Luna.” Mel said as soon as she looked up from her computer.“Why do you keep calling me tha
