Chance’s POV We were halfway to the ridge that Willow had pointed out on the map when Alpha Hunter got a call and had the driver pull the SUV over to the side of the road. I began to wonder what was going on and I became ultimately worried that Willow was in trouble. Something in my gut told me that the call was about her and sure enough when he ended the call he said, “You need to get into the SUV behind me and head back to Red Moon now.” I didn’t even wait for an explanation as I got out of the SUV and headed to the one with Alpha Reese in it, while passing Alpha Conner who was taking my place with Alpha Hunter. As soon as I got into the other SUV, the driver turned the vehicle around and headed back to Red Moon in a hurry. “What is going on?” I asked Alpha Reese who looked worried and I knew this had to involve our Lunas. “Our Lunas are in danger. Jess has dark magic inside of her and she is trying to get to them now. They are locked in your bedroom, but Rayne doesn’t think
Willow’s POV My eyes fluttered open and the pain in my head hit me hard, but my hand instantly went to my abdomen hoping that the pup was okay. “The pup is fine.” I heard Luna Rayne say as she stood over me. “What happened and where am I?” I ask looking around and realized I was back in the infirmary again. “Well, you almost blew the two of us up and made a mess of the packhouse, but you saved us from Jess.” Luna Rayne tells me with a half-smile on her face and I wonder how bad the packhouse was and if Alpha Chance was going to be upset with me destroying our home. “Is Jess…?” I couldn’t say it but Luna Rayne knew what I was asking. “No, at least I don’t think so. Our mates are looking for her and Beta Shawn.” Luna Rayne says, and I begin to worry now about Beta Shawn. If they haven’t found him yet, I am worried that Jess did something to him or she took him. If the Moon Witch had control of Jess’s body, then she knew that Beta Shawn is my other mate and she may use him to g
Willow’s POV There was no time to spare and the men went to work looking at the maps to pinpoint where the best areas were to surround the cabin. Alpha Reese wasn’t too thrilled with Luna Rayne volunteering to accompany me, but she knew how to calm her mate and I needed to take pointers from her. As the Alphas worked on a plan, Luna Rayne and I helped the she wolves and the pups from the rogue pack get comfortable until we found suitable living quarters for them. Anna told me that the rogue attack that occurred the other night was from the few male wolves in the pack that went out in search of food for the pack and that only a few returned unsuccessful. Without Damon to guide them, the rogue pack would never have survived and I was now happy that I had pointed Alpha Hunter in their direction. Thankfully, Red Moon was equipped for situations like this and our men went to work putting up a huge tent with cots in it to house our new members. Our cooking staff went to work right awa
Chance’s POV We got the okay from Rayne that it was good to come to the cabin and we moved back to our SUVs to drive to the cabin so that we could bring Damon with us. While Willow mind linked me Damon’s demands, I knew that she had done her part to convince him to help us. I hated that whole pardoning him thing but I knew it was our best chance of finding Beta Shawn. I personally wanted to have a talk with him to let him know that Willow was my mate and that I would kill him if he tried to take her from me again and I knew Alpha Hunter would give me that opportunity to tell him. As our SUV pulled up to the house Luna Rayne stood on the front porch with an older woman who I assumed was Damon’s aunt. But what I didn’t expect was about ten male wolves standing around the cabin. When I got out of the vehicle, I began to recognize some of them as my own men and wondered why they were here. One of the men in particular stood out to me and I walked over to him and asked, “Jared, why a
Willow’s POV Something about being in Alpha Chance’s arms made me feel rejuvenated as I woke in them. Maybe it was the nap that I had taken after the moment we had celebrated together. Whatever it was, it was perfect and the only thing that would make it all better was having Beta Shawn back with us. There was still the fact that I had no clue who the father of my pup was, but I felt in my heart now that it was Alpha Chance. There was something about the way I now felt in his arms that told me it was his and I just prayed that my gut instinct was right. My duty as a Luna was to give him an heir and I wanted so badly for this pup to be the next Alpha of Red Moon. If the pup wasn’t his, I would just pray that it was Beta Shawn’s and not Damon’s. “What are you thinking about?” Alpha Chance asked me as he pulled me closer to him and I snuggled myself even deeper into his chest wanting to hide instead of really telling him what was on my mind. Not once since he found out that I was w
Chance’s POV Willow and I were almost done eating when Luna Rayne walked into the kitchen looking for Willow. It seems that the she wolves of the rogue pack were wanting to see Willow and she was happy to visit them. I placed a soft kiss on her lips and told her not to overdo it, before her and Luna Rayne disappeared from the kitchen. Now that Willow was occupied, I wanted to have my word with Damon alone. Rushing out of the kitchen, I head up to the room that I knew he is being kept in. When I make my way down the hallway, I see that Alpha Hunter has men appointed to watch him standing by his door. When I get to the door the men step aside and I open the door and walk in. Damon was sitting up in the bed and he looked much better than the last time I saw him. “I see you are looking much better.” I said to him as I moved to stand at the foot of the bed. “I am doing much better, but I don’t think you came here to check on my health.” Damon said back to me and I knew he wasn’t sl
Willow’s POV It was amazing to see all the she wolves and their pups thriving here at Red Moon. One of our pack teachers already had assessed the children and had started them in their schooling. Everyone seemed so much happier being here but there were a few of the she wolves that wanted to speak to me in private. When I made my way into the tent Anna approached me and showed me to the she wolves that wanted to speak to me. The one I recognized from the night before I was found and brought back here. “Luna Willow, this is Autumn and Missy, they were the newest to our rogue pack.” Anna told me as I moved to take a seat in front of them. “Luna Willow, I was hoping, I mean we were hoping that you would allow us to return to our families and our real mates.” The one named Autumn said to me, and my heart broke at that moment knowing that they had been taken not of their own will. “Of course, you may return to your families and mates. I would never hold you here. Do you have a numb
Willow’s POV I had seen that flicker one too many times before and I knew exactly what it meant. It was faint but it was still there and I needed to get out of this room with my mate and get to Luna Rayne as fast as I could. I knew the only person that could help Alpha Hunter was Christoper. Not wanting to let Alpha Hunter know that I was onto what was going on inside of him, I asked Alpha Chance, “Can I have a word with you about the she wolves being picked up?” Alpha Chance finally took his eyes off Alpha Hunter and said, “Sure.” And I pulled him out of the meeting room and towards his office where I locked the door behind us after we got inside. I knew that the office was soundproof and that is exactly what I needed right now. Alpha Chance looked at me confused as I stood against the door as my heart was racing from what I had just seen. “Is everything okay? Your heart is racing Willow.” He said as he moved towards me. “We have to find Luna Rayne now!” I demanded and Alph
