Willow’s POV

My paws pounded against the earth beneath me and the crisp morning air flows through my black, red tipped fur as I took my morning run through the mountain side as I do every morning in hopes to relieve myself from the burden that lays upon my shoulder from being born into this world knowing now that I was unwanted.

More than a year has passed since our Covent fled the town of Canyon Ridge and has since returned to a more peaceful means of life. I was only seventeen at the time that we were bussed to the Red Moon pack for our safety and a part of me feels like it was left there. It was the last time I could remember my family as a whole.

Thankfully the war against Joshua was won before I turned eighteen and I was introduced to what my other side was and had the knowledge given to me of what to expect when my wolf side finally showed herself on my eighteenth birthday. Alpha Conner and his Beta Ethan have been there for me and so has Emma the Beta’s mate and our new High Priestess as I try to adapt to this new revelation of who I am.

Unfortunately, my parents’ marriage did not survive this ordeal due to the fact I was the only child and I wasn’t my father’s. The man that had raised me and loved me turned his back on me and walked out of my life like I meant little or nothing to him for the past seventeen years. A part of me despised my mother for doing this to us but I knew that this was all the work of Joshua and that she was paying for it with the loss of my father.

We were one of the only families that was affected by this since most of the other families had multiple children and the fathers stayed for the sake of their other children. Everything that I had loved was swept away from me with a blink of an eye and I felt like my world was crashing down on me.

Without my father’s income, my mother and I were forced to move into a smaller home and everything that I had loved and cherished as a child was taken from me. My mother got a job at the local grocery store and I went to work at the diner in between my training to help her make ends meet.

I tried my hardest not to let it show how badly the whole situation was affecting me because everyone else around me was adapting easily to the transition of it and after I got my wolf, I didn’t feel like I was alone in this. When I needed comfort, she knew it and would urge me to go for a run and let it all out, but today the run just wasn’t taking all the pain away.

It was my nineteenth birthday and my mother had completely forgotten about it just as she did the year before. It was as if she despised me for being born and taking her beloved husband away from her. As my wolf came to a stop at the top of the bluff that overlooks the town, I looked down upon it and realized there is nothing left here for me. Alpha Chance had told us all before we left Red Moon pack that we would always be welcomed back and I felt like that was my only way out of this town and all the memories that now haunt me. With that thought my wolf willed me to go to Alpha Conner and ask for his permission to be transferred to Red Moon pack.

That evening before training started, I asked Alpha Conner if I could have a word with him once training was over. Thankfully he agreed to speak with me after training. Unlike the wolf packs, the she wolves of the hybrid pack were commanded to train and I was thankful that we were allowed to because you honestly never know when you are going to need to defend yourself especially since I was without a mate. Alpha Conner and the High Priestess thought that it was best that all the hybrids were able to fight in wolf and witch form to ensure that our town remained safe from anyone that tries to take us down again.

After a year of the training, I actually looked forward to our daily workouts as it let me release stress and I loved the feel of my muscles burning. Today’s training was like every other day, and I gave a hundred percent of myself while doing it and I was at the top of my class in combat.

Once training was over, I quickly showered and went to the Alpha’s office like he had told me to do. Knocking on the door twice I heard the Alpha say, “Come in.” And I opened the door and stepped into his office.

“Willow please take a seat.” Alpha Conner said pointing to the chairs in front of his massive desk. I took a seat like I was told to and then the Alpha asks, “What is it that you would like to speak to me about?”

For some reason I found myself nervous to ask him, but I knew the worst case would be for him to say no so I proceeded by saying, “I’d like to transfer to Red Moon pack.”

Alpha Conner looked at me confused and asked, “Is there a reason you’d like to be transferred there?”

There were a million reasons why I wanted to transfer out of this town, but I decided to just give him one and said, “There is nothing left here for me, but bad memories and I would like a fresh start somewhere else.”

Alpha Conner looked at me with sympathy and he knew my situation better than anyone. He knew that my father had left and he knew my mother and I were struggling to make ends meet. He had offered many times for me to move into the packhouse, but I had thanked him and told him no due to the fact that my mother needed the money that I made to pay the bills at home. “I honestly would hate to see you go. You are one of my best warriors, but I understand why you want to leave. I will call Alpha Chance and make sure he is alright with your request.” Alpha Conner said to me, and I was so thankful that he understood me.

“Thank you, Alpha. I appreciate your kind words and for your understanding.” I said to him as I stood from the seat.

As I turn to walk out of the room, I am stopped by him when he says, “Happy Birthday Willow.”

Tears start to pool in my eyes that someone at least remembered. Without turning I said just above a whisper, “Thank you, Alpha.” And walked out of his office before he could see me cry.

Once I was outside, I raced towards the woods and undressed quickly, throwing my clothes into the small duffle bag I had and shifted into my wolf grabbing the duffle bag with my mouth. I needed the help of my wolf to make the tears stop. I needed to feel free from the world around me crashing down on me. I ran until I felt every muscle in my body begging me to stop and I found myself outside the small cream colored house that I called home for the time being.

My mother’s car was in the driveway and she was already home from work. Stepping behind a bush I shifted and pulled my clothes from the duffle bag and slipped them on before I proceeded to make my way into the house. The tears had stopped but my muscles ached from the run as I pulled on my pants.

Once dressed I walked to the front door and opened it. My mother was sitting on the couch with a glass of her drink, jack and coke, watching television. When she heard the door open she looked at me for a brief moment and then turned back to her show. I shut the door behind me and proceeded to head to my bedroom and I stopped when she said, “I need five hundred dollars from you to pay for the rent this month.”

Anger filled my body at her words. It was my birthday and all she could say to me was that she needed money from me and I was done working to support her. She had caused all this herself and I was done being the one blamed for her mistake. Instead of answering her I headed to my small bedroom that resembled a closet and began packing my bags. I wasn’t going to spend another night under this roof with her.

I was just about done when my door threw open and my mother stood in the doorway with her arms crossed as she asks, “Where do you think you are going?”

My heart began to race and I knew I needed to calm myself down before my wolf took over and killed her. I wanted her to watch another person walk out of her life but this time because of her own doing. She wouldn’t have Joshua to blame for this one. She had done all this one on her own.

“Willow, I asked you a question.” My mother then spat at me.

Zipping up my last bag and throwing it over my shoulder I looked at her as I reached down for my other one and said to her, “I’m leaving.” As I pushed past her and into the hallway.

She then grabbed my arm and said, “You aren’t going anywhere. You have no where to go and no one wants you.”

A laugh came from my lips and I knew that it was a coping mechanism before I say, “You are wrong mother. I could have left long before this, but I stayed for you because I felt bad for you. You are the one no one wants not me and you are the one that has no place to go.”

I could tell that my words stung her from the look on her face and then she raised her hand and slapped me across the face and said, “I wish you were never born. You ruined my life.”

The slap stung my flesh but only for a moment as her words stung even harder and I smiled at her and said, “Well I’m not your problem anymore. Find something or someone new to blame your misfortunes on.” And I then began to walk away from her towards the front door.

“Willow, if you leave this house now you are dead to me.” My mother yelled from behind me as she started to follow me.

Opening the front door to the house I turned and looked at her and said, “I have been dead to you since the day father walked out on you and me. I have no feelings left inside of me to care how you feel about me.”

I turned and walked out of the house and I could hear my mother yelling, “How am I going to afford to live?” That was a problem she was going to have to deal with on her own because I was done feeling sorry for her and I was ready to start a new life at Red Moon pack.

Willow’s POV The walk to the packhouse took me about an hour on human legs but that was okay because I needed time to process what just happened. It was as if a burden had been lifted off my shoulders walking out of that house and a sense of relief washed over me. For over a year now I have endured the painful memories of my father leaving and my mother’s anger towards me for it. Every day was a constant memory that I wasn’t wanted and that all I was good for was helping to keep a roof over the head of the person that gave birth to me. But now I was free from all of that and even if Alpha Chance won’t take me into his pack, I will find a way to survive without going back to that hell that I had lived. The lane to the packhouse came in sight and I could feel the eyes of the patrol on me as I walked up the lane to the house and I knew that they were all looking at me in judgement. Warning of my arrival must have gotten back to the house because when I approached the house Luna stood

Willow’s POV Finally, we made it to Crescent Moon packhouse and it had to be the largest packhouse I had ever seen. I was aware that two packs had combined under one roof because Luna Ella was mated to both the Crescent and Blue Moon pack’s Alphas, one being Alpha Conner’s half-brother. Alpha Conner was the only one of us hybrids that knew who their biological father was, and in a way, I was a little jealous of him. His father had welcomed him with open arms and so did his entire family of siblings. I could only hope someday that I too could find my biological father and he would accept me as his daughter and welcome me into his family too. As Luna and Alpha opened their doors to exit the SUV, I looked up at the massive steps that led into the packhouse and saw Alpha Caleb standing at the top of the stairs ready to welcome his brother Alpha Conner. My door opened and Luna said, “Willow you can get out of the vehicle.” “I’m sorry Luna.” I said as I stepped out of the vehicle with my

Willow’s POV It didn’t take long to unpack what little bit of clothes I had. The closet was huge and what little I had to fill it looked pitiful but of course I wondered if anyone had enough clothes to fill it. I picked out my best pair of yoga pants and sports bra and put them on to get ready to go to training and pulled my long black hair up into a high ponytail. When I looked into the mirror to make sure that I looked okay I realized that I had lost a lot of weight recently and that you could see my ribs, but my arms and legs were lean muscle. I debated about putting a shirt on over the sports bra but decided against it due to the fact that I felt restricted in it when I trained. Looking at the clock I noticed that I had an hour before training started and I decided to go out for a quick run to loosen my muscles before training began. I remember some of the trails that were around the packhouse from the last time I was here and decided to stick to them until I got more familiar

Shawn’s POV Screams came from the path that led to the waterfall with the pool that the pups were always playing in and I knew something was definitely wrong. Alpha Chance was still away on business with a pack up north that was having issues with rogues and I was left in charge of keeping the Red Moon pack safe until he returned. Racing towards the path a group of pups came into sight as they clearly were running for their lives from something. They passed by me as they headed towards the packhouse for safety. Finally, I came across two she wolves as they brought the rear of the pack up with the smaller of the pups. “Rogues!” The one she wolf began to scream in my direction. “How many?” I asked as I started to run in the direction they came from. “At least a half dozen. You must help the girl that is fighting them off.” The other she wolf said and I felt my stomach turn. It had to be Willow she was talking about. None of our she wolves would attempt to take on a rogue not alone h

Chance’s POV When Beta Shawn had called me and told me that our pack had been attacked by rogues, I was glad that I had agreed to be allies with Blood Moon pack. I never thought that the rogues would have gotten so far into my lands already and I wondered how they had gotten so far south from their last attack so soon. One thing I did know is that I needed to make a plan to get them the hell off my lands and keep my pack safe. I was thankful that my warriors were able to respond so quickly and that no one from my pack was hurt. Beta Shawn didn’t give me all the details over the phone on what transpired but what I do know is that everyone was safe and the rogues were not a threat at the moment. As my SUV pulled up the lane to the packhouse I could clearly see my warriors on edge and I wondered if it was worse than what Beta Shawn was telling me over the phone. Getting out of the vehicle I walked quickly up the steps and into the packhouse to my office hoping that Beta Shawn was wait

Willow’s POV The door to my room was locked and I was packing what little belongings I had brought with me to Red Moon. I had to get out of here before Alpha Chance came after me for freezing him. It was the first time that I had ever frozen someone but I had to do it to protect Beta Shawn from getting further hurt from him. I never would have imagined that Alpha Chance would be so aggressive like he was. The last time I saw him he seemed so nice and kindhearted, but today he was like a rabid animal. All my dreams of a new start at a new pack just crashed before my eyes and like my mother said I had nowhere to go and no one would want me. The reality was setting in and I felt a tear slide down my cheek knowing that she was right. I was foolish for thinking that I could leave and start a new beginning somewhere else where I could finally be happy. Grabbing my bag, I moved towards the door and listen closely for any movement before I opened the door and headed for the back staircase

  • Moon Blessed Mates   Chapter 8

Willow’s POV It couldn’t be. Why would the Moon Goddess do this to me? Why would she give me a mate that I feared? I just couldn’t believe this was happening to me. My wolf whimpered within me as my thoughts went to, this can’t be and how do I reject him as my mate. There was no way that I was going to be in another situation where I would be emotionally hurt again. I had seen firsthand how he acted just a short time ago and I feared that he would be physically abusive too and I wouldn’t allow that to happen. Without thinking I said, “Reject me.” As I lowered my gaze back to the ground not wanting to look at him any longer. “What?” Alpha Chance said not understanding what I just asked of him. “Reject me, please.” I said as the tears started to fall from my eyes. “Willow, I can’t and I won’t reject you. I waited so long for you.” Alpha Chance says to me in a gentle voice and it is like he is a totally different man then the man that was in his office not too long ago. “Please.” I

Willow’s POV Stepping off the patio I begin to strip my clothes off in front of Alpha Chance. He was my Alpha and my mate and I am sure that I would be naked in front of him in the future if I decided to stay. Nakedness in front of another wolf or hybrid is something I quickly got used to training as a warrior but as I stand in front of Alpha Chance with his eyes on me something feels so different about this act of being naked in front of him. As he pulls his own clothes off in front of me, I take in the caramel tone of his flesh and his perfect sculptured body that only the gods should have. His dark hair looked tasseled as if his shirt must have hit against it as he pulled it over his head and his green eyes now stared at me with desire in them. He took a step towards me and I took off running, shifting within the first two strides into my wolf. One thing I knew about Alphas was they were huge in wolf form, but I was fast because of my slender build. I took off in the direction o

Willow’s POV A few days have passed since we sealed the Moon Witch in her realm and thankfully Celeste has kept in contact with me and she is doing well. She has decided to stay with Ash for the time being and plans on visiting Alpha Hunter so she can get to know him. What Luna Ella did for her that day showed that she accepts Celeste into their family and I hope that Celeste will give her the chance to become a stepmother to her. Which leads me to what is to happen to myself today. My nerves were on edge, knowing that I was going to meet my real father today. Alpha Chance and Alpha Shawn have continuously reassured me that I have nothing to worry about but I can’t help worrying about being rejected by him, like I had been with the man that had raised me all those years. I wanted nothing more than to have a parent that would accept me for who I am. As I sat outside on the back patio at the table, I had to wonder what he looks like and if he would accept me after he sees how much

Willow’s POV It took no convincing on my part to get Luna Rayne to allow us to borrow her moonstone. In fact, she was even willing to help in any way possible she could with her own moon magic because Celeste was Sal’s brother’s mate and she didn’t want her friend’s little brother hurting. When I returned to Sal’s lair, I had Luna Rayne in tow with me and Sal looked happy to see her. “I hear we have a rescue mission. Count me in.” Luna Rayne tells Sal and he smiles at his friend knowing that she has his back too. “Thank you, Luna Rayne.” Alpha Hunter says to her and she gives him a smile and says, “Ridgewood will always have your back and the Sun Witches. We are more of a family then just neighboring communities and I want happiness for us all.” Luna Rayne couldn’t have said it better and she would have been a wonderful High Priestess of our Covenant but that was taken from her. It was okay because she chose to be a Luna instead with her mate Alpha Reese. I’m starting to belie

  • Moon Blessed Mates   Chapter 110

Willow’s POV To say that I felt sated by my mates as we all fell asleep holding each other last night was an understatement. I had needed both of my mates, not just in mind, but also in body and soul after what had happened to Celeste. I needed to know that we were all here together and I had them here safe with me. As I woke up this morning, all I could think about was Celeste and what I could do to bring her back here to us. The look on Ash’s face last night told me that he wasn’t going to let that realm be closed with her in it but he was only one warlock standing against his Covenant and I knew he didn’t stand a chance on his own. Slowly getting out of bed so as not to disturb my mates, I quickly got dressed and headed to find Ash. Getting out of the house undetected was easy, due to the fact that everyone was still asleep from last night’s events. When I opened the door to the house, I was surprised to see that Ash was sitting on the steps staring at the spot where Celeste h

Chance’s POV I had been waiting in the shadows of the night, with Sal, behind Alpha Hunter, just in case the Moon Witch got passed him with Celeste, but I never imagined that they would have disappeared in thin air. “I thought you said that the Moon Witch’s powers wouldn’t work here.” I said to Sal in complete shock. Before he could answer me, I heard my mate screaming, and knew I had to get to her. Appearing from the shadows, I raced towards Willow who was now in Shawn’s arms, as he tried to comfort her. Willow kept crying out “No” as Shawn held her close and rubbed her back. “The Moon Witch didn’t take her.” A younger man said from beside Willow, and I knew this had to be Sal’s brother, and Celeste’s mate, Ash. “What do you mean the Moon Witch didn’t take her. I saw it with my own eyes.” Alpha Hunter said as he moved over towards us. “Celeste took her.” Ash says and Sal comes up behind me and says, “He’s right. Celeste had to of been the one that took her. Willow’s POV I must have fallen asleep in Alpha Shawn’s arms after he had made love to me. The connection that we shared here was more than I ever could have imagined having with him and we finally had the chance to open our hearts to each other. We were no longer two broken souls because we had mended the pieces of each other’s hearts back together. As I began to stir in his arms, he pulled me in closer to him and kissed the top of my forehead. It seems that both of us had needed a nap and he was just waking up too. “I could get used to this.” He said as he held me close to him. I wasn’t going to lie, it felt amazing being in his arms right now after we had been fighting the connection between the two of us for so long now. “Does that mean we will be sharing a room when we get back home?” I asked him, wondering if he was finally going to spend the whole night with me. “Things are different now and I promise once we get back to Red Moon the three of us are going to sit down an

Chance’s POV After the Lunas and pups had left for the Sun Witches’ home, we began to prepare for the worse. There was a good chance that the Moon Witch would return, especially since Celeste was still here in our world. Alpha Hunter wasn’t taking any chances and he had every wolf he had posted around the packhouse as the Sun Witches and a few of the Canyon Ridge Witches put up wards around the premises waiting for her to show her face. When everything was in place Alpha Hunter and I stood guard together waiting for her on the front stoop of the packhouse. Night was falling and we had gotten word that the Lunas and pups had safely reached the Sun Witches’ town and were safe for the night. A bit of relief filled me knowing that Willow was safe and that Shawn was with her. A part of me was jealous that he was there with her, but I knew I had to be here with Alpha Hunter to protect not only Willow but all wolf kind. It was an oath that I had taken and an oath that an Alpha took serio

Shawn’s POV I had my own mate on my mind, and needs that I wanted to fulfill with her since the car ride here. There was no way I was going to be dealing with Alpha Hunter’s daughter finding her mate and the best man for the job would be Alpha Caleb since he is kind a stepfather to her. Regardless, I had one thing on my mind and that was to get to a room alone with my mate. As we got to the second floor, I guided Willow down the hallway to the last room on the right-hand side. My reasoning for doing so was because I wanted as much privacy with my mate as possible, with the things I wanted to do to her. The need to be with her has been overwhelming since we mated and I can’t put it off much longer, as my body aches to be with her and so does my heart. The small touches and kisses aren’t enough and I need to be buried deep inside her and feel the ultimate connection between the two of us. Opening the door, Willow stepped inside and we both took in the king sized bed in the center

Since Alpha Shawn and I mated we hadn’t gotten alone time together and I really looked forward to spending the night with him. I could tell by what I sensed from him that he too was looking forward to the night we would be spending together alone. “How much longer before we get there?” Celeste asks from the back seat breaking the silence in the SUV. Alpha Shawn looks in the rear-view mirror at her, before he says, “We should be there within the hour.” Celeste let out a sigh and I turned slightly in my seat to look at her. I could tell that she wasn’t used to riding in a vehicle and I wondered if she was getting car sick, from her pale appearance. “Are you feeling, o

Chance’s POV Knowing that Willow was going to stay with Celeste made me feel at ease knowing what we were about to do. Neither one of them needed to be around when we seal the Moon Witch in her realm hopefully forever. The Moon Witch has caused enough heartache for us to last a lifetime and I can’t wait till this is all over with and we can take Willow back to Red Moon and start our family together. A large group of us moved to the meeting room to discuss how we were going to trap the Moon Witch in her own realm. Once everyone was in the room Alexandra, Luna Rayne’s mother, began to tell us about the spell that Joshua used to trap her and her mate in the realms they were in. On the way here she had made some adjustments to the spell and she began to show Sal. “Sal, do you think it will work?” Alpha Hunter asks him and Sal begins to shake his head before he says, “Yes, but we will need to do the spell when the sun is at its highest peak, to draw this much power.
