Chapter 37:- Go Away

I quietly got off the bed and tiptoed to the wardrobe. Pulling out a pair of clothes, I slipped into them. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my hair. Walking out, I gathered everything that was required for my safety. I would not surrender myself easily. I would fight once I got Cassius out of that hell.

I swallowed hard and grabbed a paper and pen, scribbling.

‘I’m sorry, I betrayed you. Goodbye, Luther.’

I bit down on my lower lip to keep myself from crying. I put the paper under the flower vase and took off my ring and placed it over the paper and let out a breath.

My vision blurred when my eyes fell on my husband, who was sleeping so peacefully. His one arm limply lay at my side of the bed as if it was feeling me there. I walked around his side and bent forward and kissed his forehead, which was creasing slightly. I winced when I smelled hard liquor on his breath. How much he had drunk himself last night. He was perfectly fine when he walked to the ter
