Epilogue

FIVE MONTHS LATER

I eyed myself in the mirror. I wore a white gown that was fitting me like a second skin and exposed my seven months baby bump. I caressed my rounded belly and smiled, overwhelmed with joy. In two months he will be here. I was excited to meet Xavier, our baby boy. He would be gorgeous like his father. Excitement raced through me when I imagined a little version of Luther.

“You look gorgeous,” a deep voice said.

I turned around to face Cassius, smiling shyly, blushing. “Don’t you think I’m growing bigger day by day?”

His brown brows raised together as he stepped into my room and adjusted the yellow tie that he had worn for the ceremony. He looked handsome in a dark blue suit that matched his eye color. “He is Luther’s. It is obvious that he is growing bigger day by day.”

“Sometimes I feel like he is going to be a footballer as he kicks me day and night.”
