“I am happy for you, I cannot believe you now have the family you have always wanted,” Ben leaped on Chris and hugged him as soon as he walked into Cornell's ward, where they were discussing sending Cornell home and possibly hiring a nurse if necessary.

Ben was overjoyed for Chris because they were best friends and he could not help but want his pal to be happy. Jessica was the person Chris had always wished to have in his life, but since she was connected with Liam, he found Chris to be aloof from them, which caused Ben to feel awful because he was incapable of being selfish for the person who had saved them when nobody else cared whether they existed or not.
