Cornell, Jessica, and Chris had arrived at the car because the doctors had assured them that they could take Cornell home, but he needed a lot of rest and sufficient nourishment to make up for the protein shortfall.

While in his mother's arms, Cornell began nagging her, demanding her to explain why he was unable to see Liam with them as well as why they were not going to his house.

Jessica did not respond to him because she was more concerned with rushing inside the car as quickly as she could. After all, Cornell had just become well again and she did not want an infection to strike while he was still at his most fragile.

After taking a deep breath, Cornell put his head on his mother's shoulder. He surprisingly noticed Liam's grandma standing a bit off from them and the expression she was making as if something had made her intrigued and she didn't have any choice but to follow them.
