Raiden’s pov

Certain classes were mandatory, but there were some you could choose from. Of course, I go to every Alpha class the academy provides, taking full advantage of my time here.

It was also a great way to train with other alpha heirs. After a while, it gets pretty boring sparring with the same people. We with alpha genes are built differently, and we’re a lot stronger than the average wolf.

So far, nobody has been able to beat me in a sparring match, but that might change once some of these here get their wolves.

When we get our wolf, we grow even stronger. We’ll be able to shift, mindlink our pack, and more. I can’t wait.

I wonder what my wolf will be like. In some cases, their personalities match those of their human counterparts, but sometimes they’re polar opposites. Whatever the Moon Goddess deems necessary, I guess. Same goes for our mates.

And after the day I had, I need to blow off some steam.

I have no clue why it doesn’t bother Zev that I keep annoying our little mouse. I’ve tried flirting, touching her, and teasing her.

It’s fun to see her react, even though her reactions are very small. A little blush here and there, a little scent of arousal whenever I touched her, a look of annoyance. Sometimes she’d flinch or look frightened. But she never said anything or did anything to stop me.

Maybe it’s wrong of me to push her buttons like that, but it’s frustrating to see someone this weak. Why won’t she stick up for herself?

Is there a limit to what I can do before she stops me? Before she says something?

Even the way she talks. She only talks in short sentences, barely loud enough to hear. She hides away, making herself look even smaller.

It’s ridiculous.

I have no clue why it bothers me so much, but I can’t stop trying to get under her skin.

Yeah, it would be great if Zev swooped in and saved our little mouse from me. Claim her as his and finally get laid. But it’s not just about him.

Maybe I just can’t stand weak people. I don’t know.

“You’re distracted,” George said, before trying to punch me in the face. Usually, he would be face down on the mat already.

I quickly stopped George, hitting him against the ribs three times before tackling him to the floor. Even distracted, I can beat his ass with ease.

While drinking a bottle of water and watching the rest spar, Dylan joined me. The guy is a jerk and can’t take a hint. I’ve insulted him numerous times, but he keeps trying to hang out with me.

“Seen any of the new girls? Fresh meat, am I right?”

“Yeah.” There was no point in having an actual conversation with this douche.

“You were hanging around with that short girl, right? She’s just the right height for a giant like you,” he joked. “She doesn’t even need to get on her knees to suck your dick.”

I slapped the bottle of water out of his hands, making it spill all over the floor. “Shut the fuck up.”

Dylan threw his hands up, as if he were surrendering, “just a joke, man.”

I growled, “your face is just a joke, man. Leave me alone. We’re not friends and never will be.”

Dylan got up and stormed off, like a damn child. He usually doesn’t bother me this much, but that joke was rude.

I ran a few laps around the track before going back to our room to shower. Zev was already there. On Mondays, he has a few college-level classes he takes to get a jump start on college. Zev is dead set on becoming a successful businessman.

I’ve asked him to be my beta several times, actually, but he always declines. So the son of the current beta, twenty-year-old Stephen, will become my beta once I take over. He’s a nice guy, but it would be so much better to run the pack with my best friend.

“I’ll hop into the shower, and we’ll go eat.” I said, to which he nodded. He was busy writing in his journal. Was he writing about Atalanta?

“Dear Diary, I met a girl. She has big eyes, a cute butt, and is far too skinny. I might break her if I sleep with her, which will be no problem because I plan to stay a big old virgin until I die. The end.”

Or maybe he was complaining about me.

“Dear diary, Raiden is making me tutor this beautiful girl. I can’t believe how mean he is. How dare he try to set me up? Doesn’t he know my penis isn’t ready to be touched yet?”

I chuckled to myself. I had walked into Zev jerking off a few times, so I knew he wasn’t totally opposed to sex.

Speaking of jerking off. Maybe that would release some of the tension that I still had. Sparring hadn’t worked. And this usually does the trick.

My hand went to my dick, pumping it a few times while closing my eyes. I tried to imagine a beautiful woman down on all fours. Her ass sticking out in the air, her pussy glistening and ready for me to take.

My dick was hard as I fastened the pace, now picturing a woman down on her knees, taking most of my dick into her mouth. Saliva dripped down her chin while she was choking, but she kept going. Her hands were skillfully working my balls.

Her big blue eyes looked up at me, staring at me as if she were asking if she was doing a good job. Her lips locked around my big cock.

She was doing a great job; my little mouse was sucking my dick like a pro.

I ejaculated against the tiles before realizing I had just fantasized about the girl I was setting Zev up with.

It didn’t matter. It was just a fantasy. I had thought about countless women while jerking off. It didn’t mean anything.

When I got out of the shower, I walked into my room with nothing but a towel on. I dropped it on the floor to get dressed. Zev was used to seeing me naked, so he didn’t even bat an eye.

“So you’re really making Atalanta eat every meal with us?” Zev asked while I was sticking my head through the hole of the t-shirt I planned to wear.

“Until you fall madly in love... Yes.” I joked.

“Raiden…”

“Zev….”

“Seriously?”

I shrugged my shoulders, “look at her. It won’t kill her to eat a bit more. What’s the big deal? We have people join us for food all the time.”

“Yeah, but none that stay for every meal.” Zev replied. “It’s like you’re trying to torment her. And I’m not sure it’s to get under my skin or hers. But trust me, whatever you’re planning, it won’t work. I am not falling for Atalanta, and I am sticking to my plan.”

“You know, it wasn’t just losing your mom that made your dad the way he is now.” I started. “Many people lose their mate, and none of them do what he did, -“

“Don’t please.” Zev stopped me from finishing. “Let’s just get something to eat.”

“Fine.” If Zev didn’t want to talk, I wouldn’t force him. He has his journal, and my mom sent him to therapy when he was younger. The more I try to talk to him about his dad, the more it makes him shut down. So I’ll let it go. For now.

When we got to the mess hall, Suzie and Atalanta were already there. Suzie had a big meal in front of her, and Atalanta was chewing on some bread.

“You didn’t even wait!” I said, throwing my hands up in the air.

“Get over yourself, Raiden. I was hungry.” Suzie replied, while the little mouse flinched once again.

I walked towards her, bending over her small frame to see what she was eating. "So, what are you eating today?”

“It’s just, -“ I grabbed it from her hands.

“You're not eating this. Just sit tight, little mouse. I’ll get you something. We need to let the rest of the body match that ass of yours.”

Zev sighed and shook his head, but he followed behind me anyway. “So you’re going to buy every meal for her?”

“If she keeps bringing food fit for a rodent, then yes.”

I got her some lasagna and a salad, while I got myself three main courses and a few sides. Training had made me hungry.

Zev once again grabbed some extra deserts. He has a big sweet tooth, always has. But I knew not all of them were meant for him. He felt the need to feed her too.

I placed the items in front of her, “eat up. O and Zev’s got you some desert again.”

Once again, Atalanta began eating a baby-sized bite of her meal. She took a small bite of the lasagna, closed her eyes for a second, and moaned softly. Shit, that was hot.

I knew Zev noticed it too, because he stopped eating for a second, his fork hanging in the air with food still on it while he stared.

Then she took another small bite. I know people don’t all eat as fast as I do, but damn, by the time she’s finished with half of it, the rest will be cold.

“Don’t make me feed you again. Pick up the pace.” I threatened, and her eyes went wide before a blush came on her face.

“Or did you like it when I helped you eat?” I teased the little tomato across from me. “We can take turns. I’ll do the airplane, and Zev will be the car.”

Atalanta looked confused before shaking her head. “I will eat faster.”

I picked up a piece of bread, bringing it to her lips like an airplane. “Open up, little mouse. Here comes the airplane.” I even made plane noises.

“Leave her alone, Raiden.” Suzie growled.

Fine. Whatever. More people were joining our table anyway, and they started to talk to me.

Once I finished my food, I looked over to see she had only eaten one-third of the lasagna. Werewolves eat like crazy. There’s always food in the packhouse because we require a lot of food to keep up our energy for shifting, sparring, and fighting.

But this little girl was eating less than a child would. Even Joy would have finished her meal in no time, and she turned twelve last week. That's why Zev and I weren't here last week. I wasn't missing my only sister's birthday party. Joy already taller than our little mouse.

I took the lasagna away from her, shoving the desert that was still left towards her, while I kept talking to the rest.

Atalanta began to eat, licking her lips when some of the chocolate syrup landed on them. She took another bite, savoring the taste. I hoped she would make that little moan again, but sadly, she didn’t.

When she was finished with the small bowl, there was some chocolate still under her lower lip. Without thinking, I reached out, wiping it off and licking my finger clean.

Zev stared at me, but I ignored him and kept talking. Suzie was speaking to Atalanta a bit, who kept replying in short sentences. Nobody else seemed that interested in speaking to her.

Even Zev kept his distance, but his eyes kept wandering over to hers.

“Be here tomorrow at seven for breakfast,” I told Atalanta before getting up. Zev and I had plans to play video games tonight.

She nodded her head and looked down, while Suzie started whispering in her ear.

Part of me felt like eavesdropping, but I knew regardless of what Suzie was saying, Atalanta would be here tomorrow. She is far too scared to disobey me.

I’m sorry.” At the academy, they had special werewolf training, but they also had other teams you could join. One of them was tracks, where you, I guess, run on a track? They had a few other clubs; some weren’t athletic either, but since I wasn’t going to stay long, I had not looked into those. It wouldn’t help with my mission anyway. And I was already behind on homework since none of the werewolf classes were mentioned in the homeschooling I received. And even normal classes like math were hard for me because mom would often make me do chores while she taught Archer. She said I didn’t need to know any of that anyway. So I wouldn’t have the time to join a club, even if I wanted to. But this meant that I would be having breakfast with Raiden and Zev, and whoever else would join us, by myself. Thus far, Suzie has stuck up for me. I wasn’t sure why, bu

So, um... Yeah, I might have gone a bit overboard. But there was no tv in the vacation home we were staying at and the drive over to germany took 5 hours, so I had time to write. And starting new stories is really easy for me, because I hardly have to think. But this is the last chapter I've written so far. Lol. chapter 8: Atalanta’s pov Raiden’s questions were making me notice, and I didn’t even realize I was tapping my food. Lying didn’t come naturally to me. Being close to people didn’t feel normal to me. Having a normal conversation was already very strange, since I was usually ignored. But I had done my best to remember my bio by heart. Did the hunter back home think I wouldn’t stand out? That I’d never have to answer even one of these questions? Did they see me as a mouse as well? Someone who’s small and can go wherever she wants without being noticed? Because, for some reason, these two men do notice me. They notice me far too well. Stay calm, Lana. I thought, trying to

Ripley’s pov “Did you forget about the money?” Those were the only words in a text I received from my mother later that evening. I did, actually. Seeing your dead ex-husband alive does that to a person. Not that I would share that with my mother. She would never be part of my life again. I would give her the money and then block her number. Is this what it’s like for Cas? Do people only want his money? Is that why Oliver is here? No. He doesn’t even know I have money. But he knows Cas does…. I shook my head, no. Oliver wouldn’t do that. He never cared about these things. But it is weird that he’s suddenly back. “Ley.” Cas' voice spoke gently. “I can literally see you having a conversation with yourself. You were shaking your head, your facial expressions, everything... It’s cute. Don’t get me wrong. But I don’t think it’s very productive.” I glared at my boyfriend. It’s how I process things! The four of us had a weird hug, but fuck if it didn’t feel perfect. Ripley’s pov “You look good,” Oliver said as I walked into the restaurant. I wasn’t wearing anything special. But he was. He was wearing a full suit, and there was wine on the table. And a bouquet of flowers. Was this a date? Oliver had asked to meet me for dinner so we could discuss how to handle introducing River and Rose to their dad. Maybe introducing wasn’t the best word. How do you get them used to the idea of him not being dead? The whole thing was so confusing. Cas offered to come with me, but I had asked Oliver to meet in the restaurant of the hotel, so we’d be in a public space, yet I could control that nobody would take our photo. Cas had only said yes after I told him we could hire the penthouse for old-time sakes and let Leticia watch the girls for one night. So that’s where he currently is, waiting for me to come up so he can, in his words, “fuck me in every corner of the penthouse.” I told him that the room needs to be used by others after us, so we can’t just ha

Cas’ pov As soon as we got into the elevator, I started attacking Ripley. Okay, maybe another word would be more appropriate, but I wanted her so fucking badly. That asshole Oliver had gone too fucking far and it was either focusing all of my attention on showing Ripley I loved her or beating the crap out of him. Maybe I could do both…. No, I owed it to River and Rose to keep their dad in one piece. The motherfucker doesn’t deserve it, though. Ripley giggled as I attacked her neck with kisses and picked her up, pushing her back against the mirrored wall of the elevator. “Cas!” “As soon as we get to our room, I’m going to need you to be naked.” I told her, gripping her ass hard. “Maybe we should talk about what happened?” Ripley suggested. How could I have predicted to run into an American in the small town where I was living? My life was perfect. Being a parent came naturally to Ripley, and in moments when she couldn’t handle it, my parents were there to help her. But to me, it felt like an act. I behaved like I was supposed to. I was the father I thought I needed to be, but I wasn’t there. It felt like my body was there, but on the inside, I was screaming to get the hell out. That connection. That love. It just didn't come.
