Again Joanna's Point Of View

Janice was not seen throughout the week.

I wasn't sure what excuse she gave Zane and Beta Cleo, but they didn't bring her up while we were sitting at the table. However, I couldn't shake off what happened at the mall, especially remembering that woman who looked at me oddly and then said she'd made a mistake.

I was certain she was involved with Janice's mate. She was the girlfriend of the man who had caused my friend so much distress. It's likely that Janice, heartbroken by his infidelity, and didn't want to know anything about him.

After convincing Emma to tell me how to get to Janice's apartment, I went to see her. I knocked quietly on the door. At first, it was quiet on the other side.

"Janice, please let me in. I need to know what's going on. Come on, girlfriend," I pleaded with her. There was a rumble and then the door creaked open slowly. I quickly slipped inside before she could change her mind.

She lay back down on the bed, and I to

Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View“Clyde, it was indeed Woodland. The helicopters were, as Alira said, her brother's. And according to our informants, Joanna is the Alpha’s fated mate.”The suspicions were hard enough to digest, but having it confirmed sounded like a sledgehammer being hit on my head. Getting Joanna back was now becoming more difficult, as his fated mate, Alpha Abel, had every right to her. But she is my wife and also had the right to decide how to handle the mate bond.“However, I hate to break it to you, but the only way to speak to her is through the Council. I'm going to ask your father to get the Council to call a special meeting. Alpha Abel must then be forced to take Joanna there so that we can all hear her decision. They cannot ignore the fact that she made marriage vows to you as per human tradition.”Jace was right, but I really wanted to talk to Joanna alone. This was a private affair. She vowed her eternal love to me not long ago and promi

Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View 'Clyde, why are we sneaking along the border and covering our scent? We're the Crown Prince and a Lycan at that, damn!' Xin growled in my mind. 'Man! Let's just enter the pack through the main entrance. I want to let those werewolves know how much a sandwich costs. Kidnap my mate and drug me! Do they dare?!’All my wolf wanted was to go for Alpha Abel's throat. He was constantly licking his sharp claws, ready for action.Ever since we'd been on the road, he'd been growling in my head about what he planned to do with the man. He demanded revenge and the return of his mate. He didn't care that Joanna was the fated of the Alpha, to him, she was ours alone. And I completely agree with the latter. I am very confident that if my wife was faced with a choice, she would choose me a thousand times over. We share a special bond, it was unbreakable.‘Xin, today we are going to try to talk to her only. I want to know what her posi

Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View againImpatiently, I tapped my fingers on the table in front of me, waiting for Alpha Abel. The man still had about fifteen minutes to show up, of course, I was here much too early for this Council meeting. My father, the King, and the two other Alphas who were also members of the Council, entered the large conference room and took their seats. Their eyes were fixed on me, my father's held a stern warning.Damn it, how could they expect me to be calm? It was my wife who was kidnapped, and that on my wedding day! This was unacceptable! Xin agreed with me, insisting that we strike the Alpha as soon as he set foot in the room.'Please, Clyde. Hold back. Otherwise, this will not end well for you. And I won't get any information on where to look for Joanna if this man shows up here without her,' Jace pleaded into the mind link.We both doubted that the Alpha would come in here with Joanna. We could tell from the woman's conversation that s

Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View StillOnce more, my father asserted his authority to keep me in check. This time, however, he was furious; I could sense the Lycan wolf within him bristling at my disrespect. Xin employed all his affection to appease the King's Lycan and protect us from its wrath. Fortunately, he succeeded. The Royal Wolf had always held a soft spot for us; any anger directed toward us never lasted long. The monarch let out another weary sigh and I noticed him go into the mind link with the other Council members."Alpha, where is Joanna?"The man shifted restlessly from one leg to the other."Your Majesty, I left her in the pack because I received an urgent call from my companies' investment board. They had discovered improper expenses and wanted an explanation," he explained. "My mate assisted me in resolving the issue, but I chose not to expose her to these matters before she was accustomed to our species."We gazed at the man, fully aware that his

Again Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View'Clyde, come check this out. I'm on the north side.'Jace's voice through the mind link carried a mix of hope and fear. Yet, I focused on the hopeful side, after days of searching, it was exactly what I needed. Hope and finding Joanna. With my heightened Lycan senses, I quickly picked up his scent and in no time found myself standing beside him, gazing into a ravine."A car accident occurred here. Joanna's scent is faint, suggesting it happened several days ago," he said with a heavy heart. "The car over there resembles Woodland’s, but its emblem is missing. Can you guess what I think this is about?"I made my way down into the ravine, it was steep, but I could hold on to the vines. When I reached the car, I inspected the inside. It was empty, but I could smell Joanna. Goddess, what happened to her? I scanned the area; a few meters below, I saw a stream. I continued to descend until I was standing next to it. And then something

Crown Prince Clyde's Point Of View again"Alpha Zane? Are you talking about the one from Moonlight Seekers?" I asked, puzzled. How in the world did Joanna wind up with Zane? The situation was getting increasingly complex. Jace gripped my shoulder and shoved me onto a sofa as Joyce signaled her assistant to step in while she dealt with us."Crown Prince, Zane brought her here after she was discharged from the hospital. They didn't share many details with me, but they discovered her on the roadside while coming back from a business trip in the city. She has lost her memory," Joyce told us."Amnesia?" both Jace and I repeated like parrots, our eyes bulging with shock. Hell, this Alpha Abel had a lot going for him. This was unprecedented; endangering the Crown Princess like this could have far-reaching consequences for him."Listen, I have a crush on Zane and was already jealous to see a beautiful woman in his company. But Joanna didn't really seem interested in him. She h

Joanna's Point Of ViewThe woman and the Beta were acting suspiciously. When the Beta turned to Janice, the woman looked at me strangely. I stared back, if she knew me or had something to say, she should speak up. But looking at me like that was not polite."Janice, are you going to reject me? But you didn't give me a chance to prove myself as a mate, that's the least you can do," the Beta pleaded to my friend. But she shook her head frantically."No! Why did you follow me? I made it clear, I don't want you to be my mate," she cried desperately."You're being unreasonable now, Janice," Zane interjected. "Everyone is overjoyed when they meet their mate. And you haven't even said a word to the Beta, and you already know you want to reject him?"He frowned in disbelief as if questioning his sister's sanity."Listen, let's not get too emotional here," Beta Cleo tried to calm everyone down. The man was not aware that he was the cause of all this fuss. Janice didn't want to

Still Joanna's Point Of ViewThe next morning, as we left the packhouse, there was indeed a fancy car awaiting us. However, contrary to what Beta Cleo had mentioned, there was no driver present; instead, Janice hopped behind the wheel herself."I told Cleo I'd take the wheel. We can do without any eavesdroppers," she chuckled, starting up the car. As I glanced around, it was clear that this vehicle's interior was both luxurious and comfortable, definitely worth a fortune. "Well, as long as you make sure we arrive safely. Zane should not regret trusting us with his expensive possession," I remarked. But before we could pull up, someone rushed out of the packhouse."Where are you going, mate? Why are you leaving without telling me where and how long you'll be away?" Beta Eric opened the door before Janice could even stop him. Before he could lay his hands on her, she darted out of his way."Keep your hands off me! And who are you again?" she snapped at the man."I'm you

Joanna’s Point of ViewAfter some time, I heard the wolves approaching and knew that the moment I had waited for so long had finally arrived.Janice and Alia sat beside me, sipping cold drinks and chatting airily.“Girls,” I whispered to them. “As soon as your mates arrive, I need you to take them from here. I need some private time with my husband. Also, try to get Jace to come with you.”Two pairs of eyebrows shot up, and their eyes stared at me curiously.“What are you up to?” Janice asked, a sly smile playing on her lips. “The expression on your face promises something fierce. Whatever you're planning, make sure we can get out of our hiding soon and face the Alpha. It's time to settle things once and for all.”My sad mood had completely dissipated, my thoughts now laser-focused on my plan.Clyde had given me a hint of his preferences in our intimate moments, and I had carefully considered the options. Hating to see her like this, she put aside her pride and offered herself to me, fiercely and totally. Three days on the yacht, and we were all having the time of our lives. We jumped and played in the open sea, savored delicious food, watched movies together, chatted, and sunbathed on deck. The men sometimes tried their hand at sport fishing, but so far, there had been no catch, something we women teased them about mercilessly. We had since sailed out of the Hudson River and into the vast expanse of the Atlantic. At the moment, we were bobbing in the open sea, but yesterday, I had spotted a green blur in the distance that looked like an island. We were sunbathing on deck again, me wearing one of those minuscule bikinis I had found in the small closet in my room. Clyde had thoughtfully ensured I had plenty of clothes on board, mostly bikinis and casual wear.Next to me lay Alia and Janice, both also in swimwear, though a lot more decent than mine.Their mates were implacable, they insisted that they cover their bodies completely, despite their fervent protests. I guessed mated wolves

We stared into each other's eyes for a few timeless seconds.I couldn't believe he was finally here, in front of me again. How many nights had I dreamt of this precious moment? I had thought I’d lost him forever, already resigned myself to the inevitable, to a life without him.But here he was, my Prince, my husband!“Clyde,” I whispered, the name a sigh of pure happiness, a feeling so profound it made my heart ache with longing. My eyes, I was sure, reflected all the love I felt for him, a love that had never wavered. For a fleeting moment, I saw a flicker of doubt in his eyes, those beautiful blue gems I could never get enough of. Holy goodness, how I had missed him, his warmth surrounding me, the sense of security he always offered.I wrapped my arms around the magnificent wolf and buried my face in his thick fur. I took a deep breath, mimicking a gesture I had often seen Clyde do to me, and a soothing sense of calmness swept over me. An incredible sensation of belonging and secur

Joanna’s Point of ViewPuzzled, I stared from one to the other, my head spinning. This sudden turn of events was completely unexpected, I no longer understood anything what’s happening at the moment.“Someone mind telling me what’s going on here?” I demanded. The warrior stopped the vehicle and turned to me. All three of them - Alia, Janice and Rubio - had their eyes on me now, their expressions stern and unyielding.“Princess, you have to tell us now,” Alia said firmly. “Do you want to be the Luna of Woodland, or do you still choose to be with the Crown Prince? I need your answer now to determine which way we go.”A sudden surge of joy welled up inside me, a feeling that seemed to originate from the very depths of my soul. Was it still possible to go to Clyde? The thought filled me with an overwhelming sense of longing. I wanted nothing more!‘Tell her we want to go to the Crown Prince, Joanna. I'm dying here. We really need to leave,’ the voice inside me urged, startling me with it

Alpha Abel’s Point of ViewA rising unease gripped me as I stared at Ludwina.“Ludwina, where is Joanna? Why aren’t you at the Spa with her? The premonition I’d carried all day was starting to take shape, solidifying into a tangible fear.Had Joanna left? Had she changed her mind at the last minute? And why hadn’t the guard at the gates notified me?A thousand unsettling thoughts raced through my mind.“Calm down, Alpha,” Ludwina soothed, offering a reassuring smile. “Everything is fine. The Luna has gone to the lake with her friends to relax. A warrior is with them, nothing can go wrong. Let her unwind, I’ll send for her as soon as it’s time. Alpha Abel’s Point of ViewToday was my mating and Joanna's Luna ceremony. But throughout the day, a nagging feeling persisted, a sense that something was amiss, as if this idyllic scene could shatter like a fragile balloon at any moment. It was all too perfect, too good to be true.Joanna had been so agreeable lately, the resistance she had shown upon her return had suddenly vanished. Still buzzing from our earlier conversation about the upcoming ceremony, we stepped inside the Spa unit. The cheerful atmosphere, however, quickly dissipated as a heavily made-up middle-aged woman approached us, her presence radiating a distinct chill. Her aura was dominating, her smile failing to reach her thickly lined, cold eyes. She was garishly dressed, her intricate gown trailing along the floor like a scene from a historical drama.“You must be Joanna,” she greeted me, her voice laced with a distinctly hostile undertone. “The woman who Alpha Abel brought to the pack.”She paused, her gaze sweeping over me from head to toe, her lips twitching disdainfully.“I'm Lily,” she continued, her tone dripping with condescension. “Your hostess at this Spa.
