JONAS’S POV

I awoke with a start, my breath catching in my throat as if I had been fleeing from a monstrous beast in my dreams. My eyelids felt as heavy as lead, reluctantly opening to reveal the world around me.

I lay there on the hard surface, trying to figure out where I was and only realizing I was enveloped in an abyss of darkness, a kind that swallowed all light and hope.

As I sniffed the air around me, I realized it was a bitter cocktail of dampness and decay, reminiscent of a forgotten dungeon buried deep beneath the earth.

Time in itself had lost all meaning, with the past and present blurring into an indistinguishable haze. The only memory that managed to pierce through the fog was the treacherous act committed by Billy, that vile rogue.

“Filthy animal,” a curse slipped from my lips, a venomous whisper echoing in the hollow silence. The memory of Billy’s betrayal was like a sharp blade, slicing through the fabric of my thoughts. Yet, the anticipated pain from the stab wound

Asher’s POV The woods were eerily silent as I led my men through the dense forest, the only sound being the occasional snap of a twig underfoot. We had been searching for Jonas for what felt like an eternity, the threat of the night crawlers ever-present in our minds. His disappearance was a little strange as there was not a single trace of his scent anywhere. It was hard to tell in which direction he had even been taken. But one thing was certain, my brother was out there and I was determined to find him. I had no intention of leaving without him, whether dead or alive. If he was dead, I would take back his remain and give him a proper burial but if he was alive, I would stop at nothing to take him home.“Alpha,” Marcus called out, his voice low and urgent. “We’ve been at this for days and still no sign of him. What proof do we have that he is still alive?”“I can feel it. Jonas is still alive and out there!” I snapped back, clenching my hands around the reins of my horse. Zion’s no

LISA’S POVTime crawled by, but there was no sign of Asher and his warriors. At first, Silas was all about rules, just as Asher had said. However, I kept nudging him, and soon, he relented.Today, he even allowed me to tag along on the Pack’s patrol. The women stopped and stared at me as we walked by, but none of them said anything to me. Silas told me to ignore their gaze and follow him.I did so, knowing full well that if I disobeyed, he would never let me out again. From the corner of my eye, I noticed the archery range and said to Silas, “With your permission, I would like to try archery again.”He glanced at the range and then back at me, unable to refuse. It was the perfect distraction to keep my mind off Alpha Asher as I continued to chase after him, the wind tousling my hair. At the archery range, I tried earnestly to hit the target. However, every arrow I released flew wide of the mark. “Am I that bad?” I wondered aloud. “Was Kiara any good?” Silas chuckled, “Kiara? He shook his head, a faint smile playing on his lips. “But you are bleeding” I protested, my hand lifting to point at a fresh cut by his side. But his eyes, those deep pools of blue, told a different story. “it’s nothing serious, Lisa. Just minor bruises”My eyes moved behind him, noticing the injured men been carried off to the pack healer but I didn’t see Jonas, making me wonder his where about.“Did you find Jonas?” The question lingered, heavy and haunting in the still air. LISA’S POVTime had slipped away into the darkness. As I blinked awake, I felt as though I had been thrust into an abyss. The world around me was shrouded in a cloak of impenetrable darkness.A dull, throbbing pain started to radiate from the right side of my neck, spreading rapidly through my veins like wildfire. As I forced myself upright, my hand instinctively shot to the source of the discomfort, gently cradling the tender skin there.“What happened to me,” Then, like a dam bursting, memories flooded back. Asher and I were lost in a moment of passion, his lips on mine. Then came the sudden, sharp pain as his teeth sank into my flesh. His eyes, wild and untamed, haunted my thoughts, causing my breath to hitch.“Why, Asher?” I whispered into the void. His eyes glowed with a wild, wolfish light, far from human. The teeth that nipped at my flesh were not just teeth; they were the fangs of his beastly form. A shiver ran down my spine. Was it anger that made him bite me, or was it somet

JONAS’S POVA self-satisfied smirk spread across my face, akin to a predator baring its teeth, the moment I caught sight of the terror dancing in Lisa’s wide eyes. She resembled a deer caught in the headlights, paralyzed by the sudden realization that I was the hunter. The familiar scent of the pack house, a heady mix of pine and earth, filled my nostrils, amplifying the sweet taste of victory. But what made it even more intoxicating was the sight of Lisa, her fear of me as potent as ever.“Wha-what are you doing here?” Lisa stammered, her voice trembling with panic. My laughter filled the deserted hallway, a chilling sound that echoed off the walls. “Stay put, little rabbit,” I warned, my voice a menacing growl.“Don’t even think about running, or you’ll regret it.” I doubted she had the strength to flee.
