96: Dinner With the In-Laws

I woke up with the sound of my phone ringing at the bedside table. Last night was a total blur, all I remember is the we had so much fun last night that the guys had no choice but to pick up their partners because apart from me and Andrea, everybody was wasted.

I turned over to get my phone and Gavin instinctively pulled me back in an embrace. I barely manage to reach for the phone because of how tight he was holding on to me.

“Hello.” I said to the caller as I put the phone on my ear without looking at who it was.

“Zoe, honey. Good morning. How did you sleep?” I immediately recognized the voice.

“Mom. Why are you calling so early?” I asked her as I stifled a yawn.

“What do you mean early? Its already eleven in the morning.” She said to me and I looked at my phone and she was right. I was fifteen minutes past eleven.
