Jasmine jolted from her sleep, having just dozed off after waiting all day for Seth who hadn't visited her. This situation made her feel utterly depressed, staying silent in the room that felt like a prison. The walls seemed to close in on her, adding to the endless anxiety.

Since morning, only one person had entered her room, a servant delivering food. Jasmine felt desperate with the monotony of her days. She decided to set aside the book that had been keeping her company and walked towards the door, the only way out of her room that felt like a prison. With trembling hands, she reached out to try to open the door. Of course, her effort failed.

"Is anyone out there?" Jasmine called out while banging on the door loudly. There was no answer.

"Seth, are you out there? I'm bored! Get me out of here, Seth!" she exclaimed in frustration. The next moment, the intercom on the wall emitted a static sound.

"Can I help you, Miss?" the cold voice came from the intercom, breaking the silence.

Jasmine looked over at Seth, who had been busy with his phone, his fingers dancing gracefully across the screen. Her mind drifted to Seth's earlier words about their plan to move to a house he had prepared. According to Seth, the house was much better, more beautiful. But Jasmine could only feel emptiness in her heart. The room she currently occupied, despite being lived in for weeks, still felt unfamiliar. And now, Seth was going to take her to a new place. The thought made Jasmine feel even more unsettled. With slow steps, Jasmine rose from her seat and walked towards the large window. From there, she could see the outside world, even if it was just the vast expanse of endless sea. Jasmine squeezed her fingers on the window sill, contemplating how she had never set foot on the beach that seemed far in the distance. Since they arrived at this place, the beach had always been an unreachable sight."Mine," Seth's voice suddenly sounded soft in her ear, making Jasmine lightly startle. S

  • Mine's My obsession    Chapter 43

This is the first time Jasmine has stepped out of the room she had occupied for who knows how many weeks. The large house with its calm white ambiance welcomed her. A spacious and bright room greeted her, with cold marble floors beneath her feet. Jasmine glanced at Seth who kept holding her waist tightly, as if not wanting to let her go even an inch away from his side."The house is beautiful, Seth," Jasmine said, trying to lighten the strange atmosphere with a simple compliment.Seth smiled faintly, but his eyes remained cautious. "Thank you, Jasmine."Jasmine felt something was wrong. "Why didn't you let me out of the room? If you had let me walk around this house, it would have surely alleviated my boredom a bit," Jasmine complained, her voice sounding faint but full of emphasis.Seth just remained silent, his smile fading. They walked down the stairs, and Jasmine was slightly surprised to see many people dressed in black downstairs, maybe around ten people, positioned alertly."Se

Jasmine fell silent, watching Seth as he busied himself with the documents in front of him. After a few days of staying in the new place, Jasmine felt much better. Seth no longer confined her to a room. Although Jasmine wasn't free to go outside yet, at least Seth allowed her to move around the house. Jasmine's steps were no longer confined to just one room. She hoped that in the future, Seth would trust her enough to be free again, although she didn't hope to return to the modeling world that had made her name."If you're tired, you can sleep first, mine," Seth said, interrupting Jasmine's thoughts."No, I still want to keep you company while you work," Jasmine replied, wrapping herself in the thick blanket around her body. The air in this new place was colder than usual, and the surroundings looked more lush and peaceful. Jasmine felt a little more at peace, although there were still lingering worries in her heart.Jasmine didn't know exactly where they were living now, but she was

Jasmine sat on a wooden bench in the backyard, engrossed in the book on her lap. Occasionally, her eyes glanced at the slowly falling leaves, creating a beautiful orange carpet around her. The cold air started to creep in, making Jasmine tighten her scarf around her neck. A gentle breeze blew, carrying the soothing yet slightly melancholic scent of autumn. It had been over a month since she moved to this new place with Seth. Jasmine still found it hard to call this place home. To Jasmine, home should evoke warmth and familiarity, something she didn't feel here. It was too unfamiliar, too quiet, despite being spacious and grand. For the past two months, Jasmine had hardly gone out. She shut herself away from the crowds, leaving behind the noisy outside world. Her phone lay untouched somewhere. Without internet, she chose books as her escape, painting to calm her mind, listening to music from the old vinyl records, which were vintage but charming, and occasionally watching pre-downloade

Jasmine walked down the grand staircase made of mahogany wood, her hand touching the smooth railing, reminding her of the life she left behind. As usual, there were five guards stationed downstairs in ready positions. This sight had started to become familiar to Jasmine, although she wasn't entirely comfortable with their presence yet.She headed towards the spacious dining table with its beautifully carved wooden surface and comfortable chairs. The servants looked surprised to see Jasmine coming down earlier than usual. They were accustomed to the quiet morning routine before Jasmine appeared."I'm sorry, Miss. We'll prepare your breakfast right away," one of the servants quickly said, bowing respectfully to Jasmine."No need to rush, I just want to have some juice first," Jasmine said gently, giving a small smile to reassure the servant. "You can continue your work."The servant nodded and quickly went back to work, leaving Jasmine to sit on one of the comfortable dining chairs. Her

Jasmine waited anxiously in the dimly lit basement. Her heart was racing, as if it wanted to leap out of her chest. It had been almost an hour since she parted ways with Seth and instructed him to wait here, and every passing second only heightened her anxiety. Her mind was filled with dreadful thoughts, yet she tried to convince herself that Seth must have a good reason for being late. The basement was cold and damp, with rough stone walls and a dusty floor. There was only a single hanging lamp from the ceiling, casting a dim yellow light. Jasmine stood restlessly, occasionally glancing towards the old wooden door at the end of the room, hoping it would open soon and reveal the familiar figure of Seth. Finally, the creak of the opening door broke the silence. Jasmine let out a sigh of relief, but as the door swung wide open, instead of Seth, another figure she knew well appeared – Danzell. He entered calmly with a sharp gaze that sent shivers down Jasmine's spine."Danzell?" Jasmine

The dark and damp room felt increasingly claustrophobic as Jasmine struggled, trying to free herself from Danzell's grasp. Her breath was ragged, her chest heaving rapidly, while her legs continued to kick desperately in an attempt to reach freedom. However, Danzell, with his patience wearing thin, decided to take drastic action."Listen, Jasmine! Listen!" Danzell shouted as he grabbed ropes and cloth. In an instant, he bound Jasmine's hands and feet, then gagged her with the cloth to ensure she stayed quiet.Jasmine's eyes widened, filled with deep hatred. She tried to break free, but the bonds were too tight. Her body trembled between anger and fear. Danzell sighed deeply, then sat in front of her."You forced me to do this, Jasmine," he said, his voice calm but firm. "I didn't want to, but you have to listen to my explanation."Jasmine could only glare at him sharply, her mouth tightly sealed by the cloth. Slowly, Danzell began to speak, his eyes staring into the distance as if rec

Seth winced in pain as his trusted doctor removed the bullet lodged in his abdomen and arm. His face tensed, lips tightly sealed to endure the piercing pain. After what felt like forever, the bullet was finally removed. When the doctor finished, Seth asked hoarsely, "Will... will the wounds be okay?"The doctor nodded, "We've done our best. Now you need rest."Seth breathed a sigh of relief, but his mind still lingered on Jasmine. He was sure that by now, Danzell had revealed everything to her. And now, he needed to quickly devise a plan to bring Jasmine back to him."Doc, I need to get out of here," Seth said firmly. The doctor shook his head. "I strongly advise you to rest, Mr. Seth. Your gunshot wounds are not fully healed yet."Seth ignored

Jasmine gazed at Lily, who was now sleeping soundly in her bassinet. The quiet night was accompanied by the gentle ticking of the wall clock. Moonlight streamed through the window, providing just enough dim light to see her daughter's tiny face. Jasmine slowly reached out her hand, caressing the soft, rosy cheek as gently as a cloud. Her touch was so delicate, as if she feared disturbing the sweet dreams that might be filling Lily's mind."My child," she whispered softly, barely audible. "You mean everything to me."Since Lily's arrival, Jasmine felt that happiness had finally found its way to her. A feeling that once seemed so foreign now blossomed in her heart. The pain she had once endured seemed repaid in full by Lily's presence. Seth walked quickly towards the nursery, cold sweat running down his temples. Panic gripped him after realizing the fatal mistake he had just made. "How could I forget that bag?" he thought, frantically. His briefcase contained important documents that should never fall into Jasmine’s hands. He needed to retrieve them before Jasmine opened it.However, as the nursery door opened, he saw his worst fear realized. Jasmine stood there, holding the document he wanted to keep from her. Her eyes widened as she read its contents, then she looked at Seth with a gaze full of questions and disappointment."Seth, what does this mean?" Jasmine's voice trembled, reflecting the turmoil in her heart. She held up the document, pointing it at Seth. "It says that I'm not Mommy's child. How is that possible?"Seth stood stunned in the doorway, feeling as if the world was collapsing around him. He knew this moment would come, the moment he had feared for so long. Jasmine glanced at the clock on the wall, which showed ten in the morning. Time seemed to move at a snail's pace, slow and torturous. Her impatience waiting for their baby’s birth often left Jasmine confused about how to spend her days.Today, she decided to organize the baby items she had just bought with Seth. With a smile on her face, Jasmine pulled out tiny socks from the shopping bag, a blue and white combination that looked adorable in her hands. She then moved on to the clothes, hats, and shoes, feeling her heart swell with joy as she imagined the little angel who would soon be in their midst. In the middle of tidying up, Jasmine suddenly remembered something. "The cute sweater we bought, where did I put it?" she thought, furrowing her brow. With her already large belly, she slowly rummaged through the shopping bags around her. However, the sweater was nowhere to be found."Ah, where did I put it?" Jasmine grew more anxious. She decided to search in another room, trying to reca

Jasmine had spent the entire day in silence, her mind in turmoil. Monica's words kept replaying in her head, making her restless. Jasmine wasn't sure what Monica intended by mentioning those things, especially since she had never intended to discuss her pregnancy, neither publicly nor with her family. She felt like nobody cared about her, so she assumed people wouldn't be too interested in her latest news, including her mother, Evelyn. However, Monica's words made Jasmine reconsider. Should she inform her mother and Lucas about this happy news? What if they got angry and disapproved, especially if they found out it was Seth's child?Jasmine didn't know what steps to take. Monica had left a puzzle about what Seth knew about Evelyn's news. Jasmine started to wonder if Seth was keeping a secret from her."Mine," Seth said, now sitting beside Jasmine. Jasmine was startled, not even realizing Seth had come home."Seth, you're back? It was still early morning, and he realized it was probably the umpteenth time Jasmine had gone to the bathroom that night."Are you okay? Are you feeling uncomfortable?" he asked, wanting to make sure Jasmine was alright.Jasmine smiled softly and nodded. "I'm fine. I talked to the doctor, and this is normal for someone as far along as I am in my pregnancy."Seth sighed, then without a word, he got out of bed and lifted Jasmine into his arms. Jasmine let out a small squeal."Seth, put me down. You should get some sleep. I can go to the bathroom by myself," Jasmine protested, but Seth didn't listen. He gently set her down near the bathroom

The sun was already setting when Jasmine stepped out of the hospital. The cool evening air greeted her, bringing new hope after days filled with anxiety and pain. Seth was beside her, vigilant as always. He carefully watched Jasmine's steps, ensuring her every move was safe."Today, we finally get to go home," Jasmine murmured with a relieved tone. "Thank you for always being by my side."Seth just nodded, his smile warm and loving. The journey home felt shorter than usual. He ensured her every step was steady, leading her with great care. Jasmine looked around the interior of the house with sparkling eyes. Seth stopped and turned, staring at Monica with a sharp gaze.“How far will you take me?” asked Monica, her voice slightly trembling despite her effort to appear calm. She felt her heart beating faster than usual.Seth took a deep breath, trying to calm himself before speaking. “Tell me why you are here?” he asked, repeating the question he had asked several times along the way.Monica shrugged, displaying the indifference that often served as her shield. “I’ve told you, I’m just meeting an old friend.
