Chapter One

Xeenalah's POV

"Good job! Agent 44! " Klein complimented. Also known as Agent 45. He's usually my partner in my every missions because he's next to my codename. And good thing we're close to each other.

Now, I'm here in our shooting range. It is located in our headquarters. In the middle of this freaking dark forest.

The paper where I am shooting at is automatically moved forward to me. And, just wow! Even me, myself can't believe that I almost shoot them all. All of the target. Wow. I'm really impressed with myself.

"You're improving, my dear Xeenalah. I like that, " he said.

"Correction, Agent 44. And please, stop it, Klein, " I said too.

"Correction, Agent 45, " he said while mimicking my voice.

"Whateva, " I said and rolled my eyes at him.

"Hey! That's enough! Go back to your rooms. " In a deep baritone voice, our second head said to us. We immediately pay attention to him.

"Yes, Sir, " we both said in unison. And then, we both went to elevator.

Our headquarters look like a business building. If a normal people will take a look of it, maybe he or she will say that this was something connected to a business company. Because it really looks like! All of its glass were tinted and colored with blue. That makes it looks like a school too. The private one. Plus, it has many floors. That is why we really needed some elevator to get up or get down in there.

While inside, I cleared my throat. And after that, I took a glance at Klein.

"How's the meeting? " I asked.

"We have a new mission, " he declared. My mounth opened in awe.

"Really? "

"Yes. "

"Don't tell me, I'm in again? " I asked again.

"Well, what do you expect? You've excell in our every test. That's proven that you're really a great agent. And also, this mission is a four-part-mission which means the two great agents will be included too. "

"What? Do you mean… "

"Yes! We, the best agent team plus agent 38 and 66! " I almost cursed when he said that. Why's Agent 38 included? She's my rival, even before. I don't know what's her problem with me but with the day she declared that we are rivals, I agreed. And, what pisses me of so much is she's really trying her best to compete with me even though she's always loses.

I sighed.

But, why I got in here anyway?

Well, it all started when a hidden organization killed my parents. I am still a kid that time and what makes it worse is they killed my parents in front of my eyes. When I grew up, I opened my mind in this reality. I realized that this world has cruelty, merciless people, criminals and others. After that tragedy, someone with a nearly aged beautiful woman helped me and let me in here. And now, I am an agent.

Starting that day, I really knew where I belong. That is here. This is where I belong.

In my nine years of training in here, I excell all of the quarters and as well as their trainings and tests. That is the time I met Agent 38. She's good too, I'll admit that. But when she saw me doing my skills, she copied it. She started to compete with in our every training. And I'm pissed of her but it doesn't make sense. Because she will never stop until she surpass me.

Tsk.

"Don't worry. This will be good, " he said. In the same day, we received a call from one of the heads. I immediately fixed myself and walk towards our meeting room.

"Agent 38, you'll be the one who will hack their computer system and as well as the monitoring. Agent 45, you'll be with Agent 38 and guide her. Agent 66, since you have a special skills, you'll be with Agent 44..." Our head stopped and looked at me.

"Agent 44, you'll do the rest, " he said. In my peripheral vision, I clearly saw how Agent 38 face's turned into red because of anger. And with that, she stood up.

"What? She'll do the very important part again? Why it doesn't have to be me? I'm better than her! She's always taking my place! " she hissed.

"Stop saying that I am always taking what's yours or your place. You almost forgot that you have nothing but insecurities, " I said with my teeth gritted.

"What? " She's furious now.

"You two, enough. But, sorry, Agent 38. I am just doing the job and following the orders of the head. " With that word, she became more furious but she has nothing to do with it so she decided to take a sit again.

"So, here's the plan. You need to go in in the backdoor of the auction's place. Your mission is to get the painting, " he instructed.

"What's with the painting anyways? " asked by Agent 66.

"Good question, " the head said. He cleared his throat before answering.

"That painting is one of the most expensive painting in the world. The one who painted it is already dead and handed it to historical museum. It is located in Europe but someone stole it. And now, it is handed in that auction. Uh, correction. It is an illegal auction. " He explained.

We all nodded at him.

"And of course, all of you knows what is the real purpose of our secret agency. We created this agency to help people, " the head said.

I almost grimace at him when I heard the word 'secret. '

Tsk. Secret huh, that's why someone knew this agency.

"Excuse me, I have a suggestion. " Agent 45 raised his hand.

"What is it? "

"What if we will attend the auction while Agent 44 and Agent 66 will walk the way at the backdoor? It will be more safe and, we will have an opportunity to roam the events in that auction, " Agent 45 said. He has a point. It will be more easier and safe.

"That is good, Agent 45, " Agent 66 complimented.

"Are we clear now? " The head asked.

"Yes, Sir, " we all answered. We both starting to walk back to our dorms. It's already night though. Exactly at my dorm's room, I saw Agent 38 smirking at me.

What is her problem again?
