Tale 2: Girl

Curses! Rai cursed as he gritted his teeth in anger. The hell is with those conditions - ! He thought, pissed, as his anger even more increased while he looked at the thugs slowly walking towards him.

“Come now, baby – “ the thugs said as they finally reached him. “Just lay down well right there –“ they said and grinned evilly. “Ugh!” they suddenly cried.

“Wha – “ Rai muttered and turned to look behind them. His eyes went wide when he saw a guy kicking and punching the thugs. “Who - ?” he muttered, shocked. He then saw the last thug fall.

“You alright?” the guy asked and gave him his hand.

“Y – yeah – “ Rai said and was about to stand up when he slipped on his pants again. “Wah – ah.” He muttered when he caught him by the waist. Rai felt his heart jump. What the hell is with this pinkish scene? He thought, pissed. “T – thanks – “ he told him and slightly pushed him away. And what the hell is wrong with me? Why am I flustered? He thought and looked away. I am a guy, for fck’s sake! He thought and secretly sighed as he turned to the guy. “Thanks, man, for saving me – “ he told him and raised his hand, expecting a high five. “Huh?” he said when the guy just looked at his hand. “Err… you don’t expect me to pay you money, don’t you?” he asked and frowned.

“Dirty.” The guy said.

“Hm?” Rai muttered and raised his head to look at him. Then, he held his breath when he saw that their faces were just inches away from each other. Rai felt his face go red and his heart beat fast. “U – uhm…” he called. Seriously, what’s wrong with me?! He thought and took a deep breath. Get a grip, Raiver! He thought and looked his savior in the eyes.

Wrong move. Their eyes locked, and so did their lips.

… 

He stares at her as she talks to him, but he is not listening to her since his eyes are glued to her face. I… finally saw her… he thought. His heart was beating very fast as he stared at her. At last… he thought as a faint smile appeared in his eyes. Fortunately, he found her fast, or else something horrible would have happened to her.

Thinking this, he glanced at the thugs with his eyes filled with disdain. Then, he turned back to look at her.

“Dirt.” He said when he saw her cheek.

“Hm?” she said and raised her head to look at him.

Their eyes locked, as well as their lips. His eyes went wide and he felt his cheeks go red.

“S – sorry!” He told her and took a step back. His heart is racing fast. I kissed her - ! He thought, shocked. “Uhm – “ he called. Then, his eyes went wide when she raised her hand. “U – uhm – “ he called to her. She’s angry. He thought and closed his eyes. Of course she’d be – he thought and took a deep breath before opening his eyes. He looked at her.  “I am really sorry… huh?” he muttered when he saw that she was gone. “Where did she go…?” he asked, then sighed. “Just when I finally met her…” he muttered, feeling disappointed. He blew out the air and walked away. There will be more chances to look for her, since I finally came back here from England. He thought.

He called the police to arrest the thugs before he left.

…

“Hah… hah…” Rai breathed as he caught his breath after he ran away. “Damn… this is it - !” he said and looked at his body.

It went back to normal. He is now back as a guy!

“Dunno how it happened, but – “ he grinned evilly and shouted. “I am back - !” he yelled and opened the gate of their house. “Yes, yes, yes…! I am ba – “ he said and closed his eyes when light hit his eyes. “What – “ he said and turned. “Ah.” He muttered when he saw that it is already dawn. “Damn… that goddess took my time… I haven’t had any sleep – “ he said and yawned, suddenly feeling sleepy. “Damn… it…” he muttered as he felt his body turning weak. “I am sleeping here in the garden…?” he muttered and collapsed.

He didn’t know… the next time that he will wake up… he will turn back to a girl again.

A few hours later, in the Lakeside Academy.

“Please tell me I am still hallucinating…” Rai muttered. Yes, ‘hallucinate’ and not ‘dream’ because he knows that he is awake. And yes – he closed his eyes tight when he recalled what happened last night.

From abandoning that playgirl… to meeting a goddess… then his body turning into a woman, and after that he was chased by the thugs to do horrible things with his body. But of course, in the end, the thugs didn’t succeed since someone saved him. And that guy, he – he kissed him. It was just accidentally!

Thinking this, Rai secretly grimaced when he saw the students following him.  

“She’s so beautiful…” one of them spoke from behind Rai.

“I wonder who she is…?” they asked.

If you want to ask about me, then why don’t you ask the person himself? Rai thought and grimaced.

“A model?” one of them asked, trying to guess Rai’s identity.

What type of model? Rai thought. For a car? A house - ? he thought and blew out air, feeling irritated.

“I’ll court her later – “ a male student said.

A vein popped in Rai’s forehead. Wow, man. He thought. You really already planned to court me, huh? Sorry, but I can’t fit you in my schedule – he thought and gritted his teeth, trying to suppress his anger. Calm down, Rai. He thought as he took deep breaths. Don’t panic. You are already aware of what’s happening to you, your situation… but - ! he thought and balled his fists. I don’t like this even a bit - ! he thought and looked at his uniform.

The tops of male and females are the same. But – Rai thought as his face turned dark. Instead of pants, he is wearing a skirt. Damn it… blasted goddess - ! he thought as he inwardly cursed and roasted that self-proclaimed goddess who punished him last night by turning him into a woman because he played many women’s hearts. Thinking this, Rai clicked his tongue as he walked towards the gym where the opening ceremony will be held.

This opening ceremony is referring to the weekly ceremony held by their school as an act to open a new week of classes. To which it really doesn’t matter to them students. In fact, they are actually fond of it since it lessens the time of their classes held every Monday of the week.

“So cuuuute~” the students said, looking at Rai.

Rai secretly grimaced and blew out air. He continued to walk towards the gym where the opening ceremony will be held. I really turned back to a girl again, huh…? He muttered and lowered his head as I remember what happened last night –

Uh, no. It was actually already dawn.

Flashback

Rai’s eyes went wide in shock, when he accidentally kissed a guy. Yes… he thought, horrified. It is a guy I kissed. He thought as his face went pale in horror and he took a step back. B – but… I – it’s fine, right? Since I am currently a girl – he thought and looked at his body, only to feel his blood drained out of his body when he saw his chest deflated.

“S – sorry!” he heard the guy say.

But Rai seemed like he didn’t hear him since his body turned cold after he realized what happened to his body. No… way… he thought as his body trembled.

“U – uhm…” the guy called.

But Rai ignored him as he immediately raised his head and looked around. It’s dark. This is perfect. He thought and looked at the guy whose face is so red and he is looking away in embarrassment. Rai gritted his teeth as his cheeks also turned red. He feels embarrassed.

I kissed a guy… when I turned into a guy - ! he thought and took a deep breath. Now’s my chance to escape! He thought and immediately ran away. “No way… no way - !” he muttered as he ran. “I kissed a guy, and what’s more – “ he said as his face went dark. “ – my mind, as well as my body, is a guy?!” he exclaimed. “Ah, wait – “ he said and stopped as he thought of something. “Or my body was still a girl when we accidentally kissed – “ he said, then sighed since he doesn’t know what is the truth. “Well, disregarding that horrible fact – “ he said and looked at his body while grinning evilly. “ – I am back as a guy again. Hahaha!” he laughed as he started to walk. “’curse’, huh? Maybe that girl's just a delusional woman who is thinking that she is a goddess and spouted nonsense that she placed a curse on me – “ he muttered. “Well, whatever. I am going home, now that I went back to a guy – “ he said and hummed as he walked back home.

“Rai!”

Rai heard a voice called. He opened his eyes and looked at his alarm clock. It’s 4:15 am.

“I’m home!” the voice called. It was Rai's elder brother. He just came back from his business trip.

Rai didn’t answer and pulled up his blanket to cover his head and go back to sleep again.

“Rai!” his elder brother called again.

Then, Rai heard the door of his room open.

“Rai! Wake up! I’ve got a present for you from Hong Kong - !” his elder brother told him and walked towards his bed.

Rai just groaned and didn’t answer. He still feels sleepy.

“What? I just went home from a week-long trip and you won’t even greet me, ‘Welcome back!’ with a big, sweet smile on your face – “ his elder brother said and grabbed his blanket. 

Rai groaned and frowned. Can’t he see I’m still sleeping? He thought, feeling irritated. This damn doting elder brother - ! he thought and sighed when his elder brother successfully pulled the blanket away.

“Wha – “ Rai heard him say. “Rai – “ he said and looked at him.

Rai turned to him, frowning.

“Who are you?!” his elder brother asked, shocked.
