Cassy was in tears, her sobs echoing in the grand hall. Ezra stood silently, a solemn figure amid the chaos, with the twins who were also crying, their little faces streaked with tears.

The moment the twins saw me, they darted towards me, their small arms wrapping around my legs in a desperate search for comfort. Knox gently lifted one twin, cradling him with an ease that spoke of his deep affection for his little brothers. Ky did the same with the other twin, both brothers walking them over to the bar and perching them on it, their actions a blend of tenderness and strength.

I moved towards Cassy, surrounding her in a hug as she whispered through her tears, "It isn't good, Sky."

"What's happening?" I asked, my voice steady despite the frenzy around us.

Cassy's voice was a broken whisper. "He's awake but doesn't remember anything, and he's acting really strange. They're talking about not even letting Mom stay in the room anymore because they're scared for her safety. She'll end up com

Gerald was wheeled back in, his state alarming. He was thrashing, screaming, a wild look in his eyes that sent a shiver down my spine. His reaction was unsettling, far from the composed and authoritative leader we knew. His eyes locked onto Kael, confusion and accusation in his gaze. "You... Where is the rest of you?" he demanded, his voice a mix of anger and delirium.Kael stood, his movements steady despite the chaos, and approached his father. "Dad, it's me," he said, trying to reach the man behind the frenzy.Gerald's eyes narrowed, his agitation growing. "There's some of you missing... Where's the rest?" he insisted, his words slicing through the room like a cold wind.Maintaining his composure, Kael replied, "Knox and Kyran are back home taking care of things. Don't worry."But Gerald's response was sharp, a dagger to Kael's heart. "No, you're going to fuck everything up. I tried to pull you into it, to show you how much it is, but you will never give it up."The hurt in Kael's

Kael's grip on the steering wheel was tense, his knuckles white against the black leather. His arm around me felt like a shield, protective and strong. He broke the silence, his voice low and determined. "I'm going to try to control myself now. I don't have a choice." There was a brief pause when he seemed to wipe away a tear with his shoulder. "I can't keep acting so damn childish when it comes to you."I leaned closer, feeling the tension in his body. Gently, I kissed his cheek. "I don't think you've been acting childish, Kael. I think you're struggling with jealousy, which is 100% natural. But you know as well as I do that monogamy is a human thing, and because you three are special, human norms don't apply."Kael tensed at my words, a reaction that didn't go unnoticed. "Three?" he echoed.I laughed softly, correcting myself. "Two... you two," I said, trying to calm him. He smiled, just a little, to my relief."Why does it bother you, really? Tell me the real, deep, root cause rea

As I held Ky in my arms, I felt the weight of his grief. He was breaking under the strain of losing his father, the confusion over his fated mate, and everything else that was crashing down on him. Glancing up at Kael, I beckoned him over with a gesture. He understood immediately, moving to wrap his arms around both Ky and me.There was a palpable sense of unity as Kael joined our embrace. I wondered if it was because of my new role as Luna, the influence I had on those around me. It was a strange, new feeling, one that I was still trying to comprehend. After a moment, Kael spoke up, his voice gentle but firm. "Okay, I hate to break this up, but we need to go to the living room and tell everyone who lives in the house first. Then I'll send out an emergency meeting announcement, and we will announce our takeover."Kyran, still in my embrace, corrected Kael. "It isn't ours, Kael. It's yours."Kael let out a short laugh. "Yeah, well, I've stopped telling myself that lie, so you should as

Kael's mental message hit me like a wave, a new sensation that dazed me. I glanced at Knox, my surprise evident, and he chuckled. "Yeah, now he can do that. It's like having someone unexpectedly turn up the volume in your head." I raised an eyebrow. "Can you do it now too?" Knox nodded. "I can do everything he can now. We're more linked than ever before." We followed Kael into the office, where he began to prepare for the big meeting. He moved with a sense of purpose, gathering papers and materials. "Dad's commands don't hold anymore," he said, his voice steady. "I sensed you two kissing in the kitchen." Knox winced. "Oh, man, sorry about that. I didn't realize..." Kael turned to him. "Can you feel it, too?" Knox leaned against the desk. "I've felt everything from the start. The twins cuddling up to Sky, your moods... it's all there." Kael seemed to ponder this. "I wonder why I've been so out of touch..." "The anger," Knox interrupted. "It mutes everything, Kael. Once you lear

Knox emerged from the basement cellar, dragging Fletcher with a grip as firm as iron. He tossed him unceremoniously at Kael's feet, the thud of Fletcher's body hitting the ground echoing through the tense air. I watched, my heart pounding in my chest, as a palpable wave of raw, unbridled alpha power radiated from both Kael and Knox. It was overwhelming, almost suffocating in its intensity, and I found myself struggling to reconcile these fierce, commanding figures with the men I knew.Kael loomed over Fletcher, his presence dominating. His voice was a menacing growl, each word laced with a ferocity that sent shivers down my spine. "Listen to me, Fletcher, because this is the only fucking chance you're getting," Kael snarled, his face inches from Fletcher's. "You've been hiding behind Dad's protection for too long. Shape up, or I swear, I'll end you. Do you fucking understand me?"Fletcher's response was a defiant sneer, a silent challenge that hung heavily in the air. In an instant, K

Missy's arrival at the house was a bittersweet moment. Despite the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes, her demeanor had a formidable strength, a silent vow to remain the pillar her children needed in this rough time. I admired her strength, but it made me wonder if I would ever be that strong. If I even had it in me to be the Luna that follows a woman who held the role with such grace. "Knox, would you mind fetching the twins from Ezra? And.. you know what, ask Ezra to join us too," Missy requested, her voice steady despite the emotions swirling in her eyes. Cassy approached me. As she wrapped her arms around me, her words were soft but carried the weight of genuine affection. "I love you, sis." I returned her hug, feeling the comfort and support we found in each other's presence, a momentary escape from the chaos surrounding us. Like sisters do. The thought startled me, but I quickly leaned back into the feeling. Into the comfort my sister was offering, and I was retu

As I stepped into the chaos in the master bedroom, it dawned on me why everything was in such disarray. The omegas hadn't been given clear instructions because, as the Luna, that responsibility fell to me. Taking a deep breath, I gathered the omegas around and asserted my role. "Okay, everyone, let's get organized," I started, my voice carrying a newfound authority I hadn't realized I possessed until now. "We're going to install a privacy panel in the center of the room. Each bed will be placed on opposite sides so there's no line of sight between them." I watched as they nodded, their actions finally guided with purpose. "Mirror the setup for both sides," I instructed, ensuring privacy and respect for personal space were always maintained. Given the unique living arrangements, it was a practical solution, albeit born out of necessity. Kael entered just as we were putting the finishing touches on the setup. His brows raised in mild surprise. "Well... not what I would have gone with

As I traced patterns on Knox's stomach, each line drawn with my fingertips felt like a silent whisper, stirring the air between us with an electric charge. His skin was warm under my touch, each ripple of his abs responding with a subtle tenseness, a testament to the restraint he imposed on himself. For a few intense moments, I let my boldness guide me, straddling him as he sat up, his arms wrapping around my waist in a smooth, fluid motion that brought me closer, too close. An unwelcome thought intruded, casting a shadow over the moment. This familiarity and closeness mirrored the intimacy I shared with Kael, blurring lines I was desperate to keep defined. I hesitated, caught in the tangle of my emotions and the complexity of my relationships with the Monroe brothers. "What?" Knox's voice cut through my trance. "Nothing," I lied, trying to mask my sudden discomfort with a feigned indifference. He wasn't convinced. Gently shifting me back, he insisted, "Nope, that's not how this w

(KNOX POV)Teddy called later that day. I could hear the hesitation in his voice, which was rare for him. "Knox, I just heard Essie's been seen near the old rogue housing units by the beach. They said she is staying in the stray house near the edge," he told me. He didn't have to say more. I knew exactly where he meant. It was the same place I had taken her before when things were spiraling out of control.I didn't want to bring anyone with me, especially not Sky. The memories of how deep I had fallen, how Burk and Fletcher manipulated me into that dark pit of sex addiction, were too raw. She didn't need to see that side of me. No one did. This was something I had to face alone. The truck's engine roared to life, the same one I'd driven that night years ago. I prayed she'd recognize the truck, which would trigger something in her or at least make her talk to me about that night. As I pulled up to the house, my heart pounded against my ribs. The place looked as rundown as ever. I sa

(KNOX POV)Sitting at the kitchen table, my phone buzzed with a notification. It was a message from the pediatrician's office about Oxxy's upcoming surgery. They asked about insurance information and the final payment arrangements. I didn't hesitate to respond that I'd pay cash. Money wasn't an issue when it came to Oxxy's well-being.The reply came almost immediately, but it wasn't what I expected. They mentioned needing some papers signed and, since I wasn't the custodial parent, they would need his mom's signature to proceed. My heart sank. I stared at the message, trying not to panic. The thought of needing Essie's involvement made my stomach twist. She had been out of the picture after running away from the rehab, and now they were saying we needed her? It felt like a slap in the face.Sky entered the room and noticed the strain in my posture. "What's wrong?" I didn't say anything, just handed her the phone. After reading the message, she sighed and ran her fingers through my

Needed to know he was safe."Where?" I shouted into the radio, desperation pushing my voice louder than intended."By the pond," came the reply. "He's just sitting there, Knox. You need to get down here."I didn't wait for more information. I shifted and sprinted through the woods, driven by the overwhelming need to reach him. My heart raced, thoughts spiraling through every possible scenario. The idea of him being out there all alone and the what-could-have-happened scenarios if we hadn't found him made me sick to my stomach.Seeing him nearly brought me to my knees as I reached the pond. He was perched on a large rock, his little legs swinging back and forth like he hadn't just scared us all half to death. Relief hit me so hard that I almost stumbled, but I kept moving."Oxxy!" (KNOX POV)As soon as I returned to the house, the pressure hit me like a physical force. Something was wrong. Really wrong. The packhouse was eerily quiet. I barely had time to process the change from dead still to chaos before Ky rushed up to me, panic radiating off him."Knox, we lost Oxxy."That knocked the wind out of me. My heart started pounding so hard it felt like it might burst. "What do you mean you lost him? How could you let him out of your sight?" The panic in my voice was undeniable, but I couldn't help it. The fear was already taking over, squeezing at my chest like a vise.Ky's eyes were wide with fear. "I'm sorry, I just... I turned around for a second, and he was gone. I thought he was just running back to the house, but he's nowhere Knox. We can't find him. Where the hell could he have gone? ( KY POV )I watched Cassy practically force Teddy into his truck after she tossed Phin in the back seat. I stepped toward her, hoping to say something that might calm her down. Before I could say anything, she spun around. "Before you lecture me, you need to go talk to your two lookalikes inside before I kill them!" she yelled. She quickly caught herself and apologized. "I'm sorry for yelling at you, Ky. It's just... They need to get their shit together. This isn't the time to act like kids."I sighed, taking a few deep breaths before heading inside. If I was being honest, I was tired of it too. We had three kids now, and this constant chaos couldn't keep happening. We had to figure out how to handle this before it tore us apart. Or they had to grow up in the kinds of messes we did. As I made my way to the packhouse, my thoughts drifted back to Naomi. I had been in love with her for nearly a decade. We were marked and bonded, and I was ready to spend my life with her. But then she

SKY POVI was doing everything I could to help Knox handle Oxxy, but it felt like trying to put a band-aid on a gaping wound. Knox was beyond frustrated with himself for allowing Oxxy to see the fight and hear everything accidentally. After sending Oxxy to his room to gather his cars so they could play together on the porch, he paced the room."I can't believe I let him see that, Sky," Knox muttered. "He's just a kid. He shouldn't have to deal with this damn mess."I watched as he tried to pull himself together, knowing how much this was tearing him apart. I reached out, taking his hand. "We'll make it right, Knox. We'll make sure Oxxy knows he's safe with us. He seemed okay?"Before he could respond, the door opened, and Kael stormed in. "What the hell happened?"Knox didn't hesitate.
