Jane shifted her butt uncomfortably on the chair for what seemed to have been the third time in a row. She was inside the mansion with the rest of the family - everyone's eyes were on her and it seemed that their eyes were trying to go through her skin so they could just discover what it was that they were hiding. The only person who didn't seem bothered was Allen - who was currently on his knees with a downcast expression. Grandmother was walking to and fro with a frown and her brows were furrowed as well. She stopped and looked at her grandson once again. "Where did you go?" She repeated her question. Allen still didn't say a word. He just laid low there. Old Madam Ryan hit him on his back, shocking everyone because it was her first time doing such. She never raised her hands before to hit any of the kids so Ryan automatically became the first. "I am sorry grandmother." Allen let out an exasperated sigh. Drake had tried to come up with lies for him to use but time wasn't on thei
Hezekiah calmly drank a cup of water before looking up at the curious gazes thrown his way. With a frustrated sigh, he relaxed against his chair and asked them. "What is it?" "Where is Allen?" His father asked. "How am I supposed to know that, Father?" Hezekiah questioned back. "Don't answer my question with a question! I expect an answer." "But you have never cared about his whereabouts before so I don't see any reason why I have to give in answering you right now," Hezekiah responded with a shrug. Festus looked at Zeena and the latter, being the mother, had to nod her head apologetically on behalf of Hezekiah. "Hezekiah, that is rude. This is your father you're speaking to. What has gone into you? Has Allen been influencing you in a bad way?" Zeema lambasted her son. "I haven't been able to find my maid." Diva interrupted with a slight smile, "Does anyone perhaps know where she is? She ought to have reported for duty since but I can't find her..." "I saw her leaving wi

She had been rolling non-stop ever since she got into that portal. She groaned and slowly, her hands reached out to her back to massage the aching part. Her eyes which had been tightly shut when coming down slowly opened, adjusting to the dark scenery she had found herself in. Jane sat up gently with fear in her heart and looked around. What time
Charlotte groaned as she shifted slightly on her bed. She touched her forehead and exclaimed before groaning again. "You're awake." A mild voice from a distance interrupted her wake-up moment and she turned her head to the balcony. Kyle was wearing an armless shirt with his two hands inside his pockets. His hair was being blown by the cool night breeze and he seemed to be staring somewhere else. Kyle then turned towards her and stared at her before going over to the glass of water that he brought along with him that evening. He lifted the glass and brought it to her. Charlotte lifted her upper body and leaned against the bedframe before collecting the water with shaky hands. She drank it all and returned the cup to him. He didn't put it back in its place, instead, he placed it down beside him and interlocked his fingers. Charlotte's eyes didn't leave this demigod for one second as she calmly waited for his words that were like a ticking time bomb. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Two heavily armed guard men were stationed at the entrance of this huge black gate. There were lights all around that were neither fueled by generators nor electricity but by something else that was brighter than what one could ever imagine. One of the men noticed an image - somebody was walking towards them in slow and steady steps and he became alert. So was his companion after he noticed it too. Immediately a few armed men jumped out of nowhere and arranged themselves to prevent the person whom they perceived as strangers from entering. One of the earlier two men then approached the stranger. "Stop."The stranger did accordingly to their commands. He was wearing a black linen that covered his face so his image was not properly seen. The guard was still cautious get brave. "Remove your cover." He ordered but the stranger did not even move an inch. The guard lifted the cover off his face and was stunned to see who it was when the eyes greeted him in the dark. "Your...y
"Is she going to wake up any time soon?" "How am I supposed to know? She doesn't look like us nor does she smell like us - she smells foreign or should I say distance?" When Jane couldn't bear these voices in her head anymore, she shook her head and opened her eyes forcefully. When she suddenly saw two people bent over her, she screamed but got muffled quickly by the pain that followed that cry. Just close to her heart was a bandage then she remembered what had happened. She was carried away by these creatures to somewhere far and unexplainable - somewhere like the top of a mount and placed there. She was so weak and had to calculate with her head how long they had flown. Their appearances scared her. What type of beasts were these? Where did they come from? They didn't even look the closest to humans to all. They looked like all these creatures created by movie makers in thriller action movies - only if they knew that these creatures they used CGI to create were real. As t
The news about Allen's arrival had spread around the whole arena. No one had expected his arrival as it had been decades since he left. Rumors started going on regarding his arrival. Maybe the King was going to choose his next heir. Regardless of these rumors, none of them could stand solidly. Allen brushed his hair and stared at himself in the mirror helplessly before staring at the wall. Calculating his days here in comparison to the human world, it was already two months since his departure. Would the boys be able to handle the pressure? Because on a normal circumference, the journey through the portal wasn't supposed to take more than a few days but because they had a stranger go through it, it changed the system. His attention was called for when someone knocked on his door vigorously. He needed no one to tell him who it was. When the person didn't seem to relent, he walked towards the door and pulled it open, revealing Hezekiah with a mischievous smile. "Hello there brother.
Jane sighed as she picked a stone and threw it across the river that was in front of her. She had been here for a while, there was no clock, no smartphone, no technology, and somehow the night took longer to arrive. She sat down on a small rock and rested her head on her palm as she went deep in thought. Emily had been able to explain to her what her new world was. She remembered the conversation that they both had that night as it was still fresh in her brain. "So you claim to come from another world better than this?" Emily asked surprisingly and Jane looked around before replying affirmatively. "At least, from my experience yes." "And you people use what again?" Emily frowned. "Phoned, gadgets..." "Okay...okay, that's enough. I don't understand what those words mean. I think I will have to trust you on this because you look fragile and certainly you don't know your way around here. And also, you mentioned something about falling into what looked like a portal..."Jane nodde

Allen and Jane were standing right in front of them hale and hearty. They were back. They were fully back! Ben stood up and screamed out for joy. This was such a big thing to do. The mood suddenly turned celebratory in an instant because no one was expecting this. Charlotte was so happy. The first person she ran to hug was no other than her friend, Jane. She engulfed her in a tight hug and kissed her all over her face with tears in her eyes. "You're safe! I missed you so much, thank goodness that you're safe"Allen watched the two friends with hawk-like eyes before leaving them alone to their screaming as he was apparently not in the mood to watch them go crazy. Drake smiled and gave Allen a comforting tap on his back. "Was it hard to find her?" He asked. Allen sighed. "She was in my palace all along. Thanks to Hezekiah who had a crush on her, I wouldn't have known. I was about to give up and just come over instead when we met." Allen replied. "Wait, what? Hezek
Jane couldn't sleep the whole night. Her eyes were specifically wide open throughout. Her nervousness had skyrocketed a hundred percent as different thoughts clouded her mind. Was this possible? Ryan was a vampire. A freaking vampire! How could she not have known this? She grabbed her pillow and let out a muffled scream before sitting up again. "How did my life end up like this?" She whispered as she ran her slender fingers across her hair. A lot of things were not making sense to her and she needed someone to explain but not now because it didn't seem as if anyone would want to do so. But she still needed an explanation that would help her. Quietly, she lay on her back, staring at the ceiling that was distant from her. What could be going on in her world? Would anyone be specifically looking for her? She felt so much relieved that Ryan was here but still, she was feeling so much ache that needed explanations about. Finally, the break of dawn made its entry gloriously with Jane's
Back on Earth,Kyle and the rest of the men ahead to have a meeting with Old Madam Ryan after much discussion among themselves. It took them a whole lot of courage to do that. They had to plan their responses like a president having his speech already made because he wants to be revoted. The rumors had started flying around and even the investors were starting to get suspicious as to where Allen could be indeed. They had not seen him for two months because the men kept saying he wasn't around or something prolonged his coming. When they arrived at the Old Madam Ryan's Mansion, they met her sitting calmly on the chair - the sort of calmness before a storm. She had her granddaughter sitting next to her and speaking to her ears, words of comfort. But immediately she saw the men, she sprang to her feet and held Xander by the collar. "What's going on? Where is Allen this instant?" Ben tried to disengage the force with pleas written all over his face. "Grandmother..." "Don'
That same night, Allen found his way to Hezekiah's room. On getting to his door, he stared at it. The boy could sometimes be stubborn and he really didn't see the need for this but Jane had instructed that he go to speak with him. So, here he was. He knocked. "I don't need any visitors. Leave." Hezekiah ordered. "Hezekiah, let me in," Allen replied with less force. He folded his arms and leaned against the wall. After a few minutes, the door was unlocked and opened. Hezekiah looked at his brother with a saddened look and just went back to cuddling on his bed, leaving Allen with the choice to enter or not which he did. "Aren't you going to join the party?" Allen asked him. "What's the essence of joining the party when I am not in a good mood to celebrate?" He mumbled and covered his face with his pillow. Allen nodded acknowledging that. "I don't expect you to apologize nor am I here to apologize..." "There is no need for apologizing. It was a temporary misunderstanding and I
Immediately the door was shut, Jane removed her mask and covered her mouth in shock. Her tears became teary. She rushed towards Allen and touched his face, his eyes, his neck, and then his arms. "It's really you." She said happily and jumped on him excitedly. She burst into tears fully. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to leave the mansion. I am so sorry." She continued pleading while Allen was holding on to her small frame delicately. He was staring at the door for a while before sighing. He wanted to scold her angrily but seeing her current state, he couldn't even bring himself to say a word. He was still angry regardless. Jane didn't mind that he didn't say a word. As long as he was here, she knew that she was going home. Allen groaned and slowly let her down instead. Jane was holding his hands tightly as if he would disappear the next minute. Her face quickly became swollen within a few minutes. "You... you're a vampire." Jane stammered as she looked at his hands and then his f
But what he saw was simply an illusion because his hand passed through the image which shook a little bit before turning into vapour. This caught him off guard especially when he heard claps coming from behind. "I wasn't wrong about you after all," Calisa said as she increased her clap. She was seated on something invisible high up but soon it started to lower itself until it got to the ground level. Calisa then stood up and approached Sky. "You looked so desperate to save him earlier so why the current look at me?" "You have him with you." "As you can see, yes. I intend to have a little bit of fun with him before releasing the lifeless child." "I swear Calisa if anything happens to him..." "What will you do huh? What will you do? Don't you think that it's ridiculous for you to threaten me? You sent your boy to my place! My place! Did you forget the rules?" "I didn't send him to your place. I only instructed him to..." Then it dawned on Sky that Simon must have followed Allen
Charlotte shifted slightly on the bed because of the uncomfortable position that she had put herself in but that was enough to wake her up. She opened her eyes, groggy and confused, as the morning sunlight streamed in through the window. It was then she noticed that she wasn't the only person in the room.Kyle was standing close to the window shirtless. The morning breeze blew his soft hair, making her feel incredible to have seen this scene. Remembering what happened last night between them, she became slightly worried that he could have changed his mind. So she called out for him, "Kyle."The latter who seemed to have been in thoughts jolted back, he blinked and immediately turned around to look at her. Her hair was rough - as rough as a bird's nest and her face was red too. The gown she was wearing was entirely exposed in the open as the gown's strap had fallen to the arm exposing half of her breasts. Charlotte was not aware of this as she was more concerned about Kyle's new atti
