"Can anyone explain to me that?" Xavier, who had a smile on his face, shook his head and asked a question.

"Sweetie, it’s not a costume party, or is it?" Miranda asked irritatingly.

"Oh, you don’t know?" I raised my brow at her, looking straight through her eyes. "Jace has appointed me as the new secretary of Mayor Xavier," The look on her face was worth watching. She glared Jace in his eyes, wide open. Jace rubbed his chin and closed one eye. He turned away to avoid eye contact with her.

"And when were you going to break this news on me, Jace?" Xavier sweetly asked him. Before Jace could say anything, I intervened.

"Why, do you have an objection?" I seductively uttered. He laughed secretly and shook his head.

"Of course not. If Jace has appointed you, he definitely
