But hey, I was his secretary now, only if he hadn’t fired me already. The sweetness of the night was overshadowed by countless scary thoughts.

I was already thinking of myself as his sole secretary. I walked outside of the room and searched for everyone; the hallway was empty. But giggles could be heard from downstairs.
