Chap-108*I Was Wrong*

The oldies gazed at me as I embarrassed myself. Why does she have to get in the way of my every move? I remember the first time we met on the road, and she offered me a ride. She was so sweet and helpful.

"Where is he?" the old man, who looked very pissed now, asked Miranda, annoyingly.

"Sir, I’m so sorry; it looks like Mayor isn’t feeling well. He is sleeping." She played with her fingers and made that constipated face to gain sympathy.

"What? he is sick?" I stepped forward and demanded that she look me in the eye.

"Yes!" She didn’t even look at me and mumbled while turning her back to me and facing them, "Maybe you guys should delay the meeting. As soon as he wakes up, I’ll let you guys know." She claimed.

I got it. He wasn’t ill; he was just being lazy.

"No wait. Nobody is going anywhere. The meeting will be held at its assigned time." I declared. They all stared at me with a face that was yelling, *And who the hell are you, lady?*

"Phoenix, you stay out of it." Miranda approached
