LOL 41 Doppelganger

Toby gave me the guy’s phone number along with his address. Time to make the call and make sure he’ll meet with us.

“Hi, is this Jeremy?” I ask.

“Yes, who's asking?” He demands.

“You don't know me but my name is Stephanie Thomas. My mom has hired an old acquaintance of yours. One I have questions about.” I explain.

“Let me guess, Kayla?” He asks.

“You got it.” I reply.

“Let me guess, she's after your boyfriend. And making your life hell.” He replies.

“Correction, husband.” I reply.

“Damn!” He mutters.

“I was hoping we could meet? I don't want to do this over the phone.” I explain.

“Agreed. I get off work at 4.” He replies.

“Ok pick a place and text me the address. This is my cell. I'm about 2 hours away. I can't leave my office until around 2. So that should work out great.” I explain.

“Ok sounds good. There's a coffee shop near my work. I’ll send you the address.” He replies.

We leave the offices just after two.
