ORPHILLIA. Orphillia, despite trying to remain calm and not get scared, found it quite impossible to do anything like that. She definitely felt something was and there was definitely no denying it. She knew that something was quite wrong and there was no way she could keep quiet about it. She knew that she couldn't remember her past, alright, but there was something about him. There was something about Alaric that told her that they were never together before she lost her memory. Something deep down told her that she was trapped and she had to escape. And she knew it wasn't being only trapped physically in the manor, it was also about being trapped in the mind. And as time went on, the more she realized what was going on and she knew she had to do something really really before things got quite bad. The worst thing she could do was to wait and see for herself. She had no idea what was going to happen next or what trick he had up his sleeve. Despite everything, that lingering uneas
ORPHILLIA. After a while of knocking and shouting and finally accepting that nothing was going to happen, she calmed herself now, knowing that there would be something else that could be done about the situation even though it seems like there was nothing that could be done about it. Orphillia strutted around the room while thinking about what to do. "I have to remember. I have to find a way out of here." She said to herself even though she was absent minded. Everything she could think off at that moment was escaping the house. She took some steps back and stood at a particular spot in the room, racking her brain brain know if any idea would come into her head. Even though she had tried it the first time and nothing worked, she was willing to give it another try to make sure that It worked. At least she knew she needed to give it a solid try, something that would increase her chances of escape. Her thoughts churned restlessly still and a tempest of emotions were going inside her
Orphillia was still doing her best to be calm and not do anything rash but it was getting more and more unbearable and her restlessness was gradually reaching the breaking point. Her nerves kept getting more tensed and the presence of Alaric made it even worse. His voice was still resonating the walls as he gradually walked up to the door and entered her room where she was. She knew knew she had to find a a way overpower him and escape immediately or else she was going going be trapped in here. But she knew instinctively that she couldn't take on him alone and defeat him. It was just impossible. The walls began to gradually close in on her, and the confinement felt as though she was in some sort of suffocating darkness. She wactched ad he approached her with a smirk on his face. He looked quite happy but deep deep she felt like a volcano about to explode because she was both angry and scared. "Is something wrong?" He asked, walking towards her with a very concerned look on his face
Alaric was very concerned as he stood inside the house. Despite knowing that there was no way she could escape from him, he was still worried that anything could happen. Anything was possible and he didn't like to take risks. But he had taken one already, and he couldn't ask her to get back into the house to avoid looking like a freak. He wanted to gain her trust and make her think that his being cynical was just a way of looking out for her and being protective. But the look in her eyes when she left the manor told him that she wasn't entirely the same person that he used to know. She was already back to her memories and she knew what was going on. He was very worried about what he was going to do about it. The thought made his stomach churn with fear as he wondered what she could be doing outside at the time. He knew she was around so there wasn't any cause for alarm at the moment. He wondered if she was going to be able to cross the magical boundaries she had used to guard the e
Alaric's heart twisted painfully as soon as Orphillia's body went limp in his arms. Staring down at her, he just couldn't believe what he had done. He had done his best to make sure that it didn't resort to tot this but she had left him with no other choice than this. At the same time he knew that if he had listened to his feelings, things might have gone wrong but he had used his head instead, and even though he felt terrible, he knew that at least he was safe from any troubles at the moment. He had been desperate but he confirmed the best thing he could have done to handle the situation. Looking around as though people could see them, he balanced her in his hands, watching her beautiful face for a while before he gave in to his intrusive thoughts. He bent down and kissed her before carrying her up again. She felt quite heavy this time and he was forced to drop her for some time until he got his strength back. He bent down towards her and whispered his apologies to her. He wondere
Having not succeeded in their first mission to recover Orphillia, the triplets didn’t lose hope. In fact they were even more determined to uncover the truth and bring her back in the fastest way possible. And before now they had talked about looking for a seer in secret. They wanted it done in such a way that nobody would have the slightest idea what they were going to do but due to the way things were presenting itself they knew they had to involve people, people who knew better than them. These were the elders of the council. The elders had helped them while they were keen on embarking on the first mission, so they weren't going to be left out in the second one. They were all prepared to make sure that everyone was involved and everyone knew what was happening. So after a very little deliberation, the three agreed on having the elders take part in their second mission. Besides, it was not a task they could undertake alone. That afternoon they called for a meeting of the wisest fi
"Alright then" Lucien said with a deep sigh as he stood up from his seat of incorporating, carved legs."Agreed. Let us not waste any more time. Orphillia's fate rests in our hands and the more we waste time, the more she gets into more danger." He said before getting up and walking towards the door for his chambers. He was ready to get prepared so they could make make way towards the seer's place immediately. Filled with resolve to do that they had planned the triplets left the meeting room immediately for their respective rooms, determined to make the most of the day before it ended. But Liam was worried about one thing and that was the forest, or enchanted forest as the elders of the council had put it. He wondered what was out there, what they were going to face and what they should expect. But of course he didn't know what the future held and had no idea what was waiting for them on the other end. He was however expectant of things that might come their way as they prepared fo
"Yes, of course. We are ready for all of it." Liam replied, exchanging a couple glances with his brothers. Her next words could be very dangerous and so might their mission be, but they were ready to face anything at the moment. He knew that if they could have come all the way from their Pack and brace themselves for the enchanted forest, then they could face anything. Saraphina nodded before a very unnatural smile was splashed across her face. She seemed to be happy with their decision to go on the mission. Lucien was wondering what that smile meant. He wondered if it was an omen,a foreboding of something malicious. But he shut the thoughts off and tried to think of something better, something that wouldn't make him think too much about the situation and instead focus on the present, and most importantly on the price they had to pay in order to recover their lost queen. That was the most important thing for them at the moment. Seraphina nodded again before she began to speak to th
There were a lot of emotions cramped in the room. From shock, to and and disbelief. Lucas and Liam sat in the dimly lit room. The curtains were closed and every opening of the basement room was locked to prevent anybody from hearing or knowing that they were even there. They were dealing with a very fragile situation, one that required total silence, concentration being away from the world. They were in the basement the Packhouse, looking at the letter which had arrived some days ago. And the words in the letter just told them what exactly they needed to hear. Elara's involvement in the whole thing just told him how blind they had been the whole time. He wondered why they hadn't even arrested her at first. But he knew that things were already OK. There were no more killings or strange events for two days now and he was very happy about it. They knew, however, that they still had to watch the Pack for some time before concluding that everything was really ok. In the meantime they h
Thr sun was starting to rise from the horizon when Lucien woke up. He was very tired but he knew he couldn’t not waste any more time. He had things to do and wasting wasn't one of them. Thankfully he had found the potion the previous day. He wondered how he had forgotten about it when it was the most important thing in the mission besides the map. He felt so stupid and berated himself mentally after finding out that that was the only thing holding back their mission. He had seen how vexed his guard was over what was going on but he didn't say anything. The guard looked quite frustrated and Lucien could tell that the guard was gradually getting tired of the mission. It was almost a week that they had been in the wild, travelling to get to the location. Well, he hoped that this would change a lot of things and they wouldkl be able to find the abductor and release Orphillia. He wanted to go for a run in the woods but he said no, not when the potion was around. He didn't trust anybody,
Lucien woke the next day with a very happy look on his face. He knew that their mission was going to come to an end soon but he was also aware that this was even the hardest part of the journey, defeating the abductor and taking Orphillia back. He remembered every signal advice he had gotten before he began to make his way here. He didn't forget any of them and had lived by the word since then. They had served him well though. He was also proud of himself that he had thought outfield thr bo in one of those occasions and spotted that the first guard was different. That was how he had been able to defeat the enemy that was sent to kill him but the other guard helped him as well. He slowly roused from the floor where he had passed out last night and looked around. He saw the guard in the distance. He was hunched over a fire, not moving at all. The morning was still very cold and a sbti dark also. The guard turned around, seeing that he was awake. "How is it going?" The guard greeted h
Without wasting more time, Alaric immediately held her and moved her towards the chair that was already waiting at the side of the room. He immediately placed her on the chair and began to tie her with the ropes he had gotten. He made sure to tie her so tightly that she wouldn't be able to shift at all if she tried to. The chair was connected to a very strong platform that would guarantee she could not move or fall if she wanted to. He wanted to keep her immobile and if it required killing her, then he wouldn't have much headache getting it done quickly. At the same time he wondered how he had become evil all of a sudden. But he knew it wasn't his fault. It was the case he was after. He wanted her all to himself but things didn't go the way he wanted, so he was going to make sure everyone else felt the same pain he had been going through and the ones he would go through if he lost everything. He walked out of the room and locked it immediately, shutting off the emotions and the sen
Orphillia knew damn well that Alaric had lost his senses the moment she woke up to hearing some sounds in the living room. She left her room immediately and began to walk towards the direction of the sound, her heart beat getting more and more louder as she neared the sound. That's when she peeked, hiding by the other side of the wall and hoping he wouldn't see her. He was walking around the living room with a very bad look that suggested he was in some sort of trouble. She thought about the evil Alphas he had told her about and wondered if they were the reason he couldn't even get a good night's rest. He was always walking around looking so worried and getting pissed by the smallest things. She had no idea what was happening to him and hoped that he would recover from whatever it was he was going through at the moment. But at the same time she knew that he couldn't recover from it all alone. Maybe he needed some help, she thought. But when she thought about that, she remembered ti
A few Pack members were walking down the mansion mansion they heard a thud. Wanting to know what it was, they rushed towards the scene immediately, curious to know what had fallen and what they saw shocked them. They began to scream when they realised that someone had fallen on the ground and it had culminated in a very bloody and gory scene. She looked so broken so various parts of her body stuck out in unnatural and awkward angles. Her neck was twisted and it hung loose from the rest of her body. Hearing the screams, one of the guards immediately rushed towards the screen with a very worried look on his face and as soon as he saw the body, the other guards around were alerted to the scene immediately. The guards were very shocked as they saw the scene. They immediately altered the two Alphas who were in the living room, discussing. "Alpha," the guard rasped as he ran into the room, his voice shaking. They immediately stopped what they were doing and listened to the guard. "It's
"So nobody knows the name of this man, not even his workers? Must be quite mysterious indeed" Liam asked, looking worried as he tried to remember anything like that. He felt as if he had been told about it before but he remembered nothing. He simply gave up, looking very worried."And that reminds me, Lucas." They communicated through the mindlink now, wanting to keep some of the things they said secret."I remember the general had gone with some guards to the inn on that day, do you remember him saying anything that must give us a clue as to what this man's name is?" He asked his brother. But Lucas said no. "I mean if the general said anything you should have even recorded it right?" Lucas replied after shaking his head. They continued to stand there, each of them thinking about the things that were happening before them. He was happy that they were getting somewhere at least. Lucas knew that the Inn was a place where a lot of people gathered everyday, and he also knew that connectio
The reality of the situation soon spread among the guards there. They were quite shocked at what was happening and wondered if there was any way things could be resolved quickly. Lance, who had caught the courier, was the first person who seemed to suggest something about it. The other few guards who were with him seemed to be confused about what to do. He strictly informed his fellow guards to say nothing about what had happened to anybody until it was resolved. After that he decided that the best action would be to take the matter up to the Alphas and see what they were going to do about it. "So what is it going to be?" The other guards asked, as soon as each and everyone of them noticed what was happening. "I am taking both to the Alpha as proof. And once he confesses, we will see what the Alphas will do about it. I think that's all we need to do now." He said, sounding very tense. "Don't you think you might be disturbing? It's late already. You wouldn't want to-" one of the gu
Alaric was deeply worried as he stared in the living room, his head buried in thoughts as he thought about the things that had been going on lately. He was very worried about a lot of things and wished he could just get his kind off them but it seemed impossible. He couldn't understand why things were happening this way but he knew he had to endure every moment of it and look for answers. But the strange thing was that he had been looking for answers for days now and he had not yet found any. The death of the Seer couldn't be explained till this moment. He wondered what might have brought about that, if he had been attacked or something relating to it, but he still got no answers. Every now and then, he sensed Orphillia's presence behind him. He knew she was probably wondering why he was feeling that way, why he was moody all the time. He had already gotten over her behavior which he found quite annoying. He wished she could just chill and stop proving him with her worried looks an
