A soft-spoken word, a flash of flame, a single candle was lit. The pale circle of light showed three women, all robed in black. They moved about the circle, lighting candles as they went. One at each cardinal point, they called to the elements. The three witches moved with a comfortable ease with each other, calling up power from the earth. Red’s POVIt's hard to wake up first thing in the morning... Let alone with a fuzzy head and a hangover. I rolled over and looked for my glasses, they weren't there. Eva wished she had set out for home earlier. It wasn't just that it was getting cold, it was that the light was already fading. She usually enjoyed walking home alone in the dark, even through the wood near the village, but tonight wasn't any night. Tonight was a full moon. She didn't know if she did believe in werewolves or if she didn't believe. It wasn't as if she had ever seen one, or if anyone she knew had seen one. There were stories though -- not legends or myths from long past -- stories that were better called rumours.
