“Alone?”

Looked behind my ear to see the male Mariner creep in front of me.

“What.are.you.doing.here?” I gritted out.

“I need the answer to a question, Maya…” he trailed, in a golden suit with complimented his dark and gold hair that drizzled to his lower neck.

“You were told to stay away, weren’t you?”

He surged forward but I took a step back, staring at him with a frown.

“Look I’m not going away until you tell me to. If there’s anything I’m sure of, a true Mariner never abandons her kind.”

“Go away.”

I prove him wrong and could see the shocked expression written on his face. Nameless swallowed, extending his hands to me.

“Fine. I will leave. That will be after you let me know what happened the day you met me.”

“What do you mean?”

I stared alarmingly, asking him.

“Your outburst at me, Maya. I need to find out the reason why…”

“Hold it there,” I narrowed my eyes, rubbing my head. “You didn’t do this?”
