Zara's POV
Keep it together, Zara, I started telling myself. This isn’t the time to lose control. I’ve planned everything too carefully. If they catch even a hint of my confusion, it could ruin everything.
"Why do you have that look on your face?" Dax’s voice cuts through my thoughts. He steps closer, his towering presence almost suffocating. "You didn’t think we’d forget you, did you?"
I raise an eyebrow, my lips curling into a smirk. "Forget me? Please." I tilt my head slightly, locking eyes with him. "I’m unforgettable."
Luca chuckles, stepping forward to stand beside me. "You’re not wrong about that, but you’ve been hard to find. Avoiding us wasn’t the smartest move, Zara. After the lovely night we all had"
Damn!!! Does this mean I have made out with them? Wow…. Nicee….
I shrug nonchalantly, though inside, I’m still scrambling for answers. "Maybe I like a little mystery. Keeps things interesting.", I said, biting my lower lips lustfully.
Ryker’s hand tightens on my shoulder, and I can feel the heat of his gaze. "Interesting? You think running from your mates is just... a game?"
I laugh softly, meeting his eyes. "A game? I didn’t realize I was playing one." My voice is calm, steady, even though the weight of the situation presses down on me. "But if I was... looks like I’m winning."
Kade watches me closely, his eyes dark and unreadable. "Winning, huh? You sure about that?" I don’t flinch, keeping my tone cool. "You tell me."
“I like her already”, Kade said even as he smiled sheepishly.
“Sorry for intruding, what can I offer you all.” Alpha Theron said still bowing respectfully.
"It’s alright, Alpha Theron," Kade says, his voice calm but dismissive. "This isn’t our first time here, so no need to be accommodating. We’ve gotten what we came for, and we won’t be staying for the rest of the party."
The Alpha stammers, "W-what do you mean, your majesty?"
Before he can finish, Dax roars, making Theron shrink back in fear. "Don’t speak unless spoken to," Dax growls. "We’re leaving, as my brother said. Enjoy the rest of the party without us."
Luca sighs, clearly annoyed. "You don’t have to yell to make a point, Dax." His hand tightens around mine, grounding me in the moment.
Suddenly, a voice cuts through the tension. "Where are you taking her?" Mila’s voice is filled with venom. "She’s nothing but a wh—"
Luca’s hand snaps around her throat before she can finish. "Don’t you dare," he growls, his voice like ice. "Say one ill word about her, and I will end you. She’s part of us, and she will be respected just as we are."
Mila gasps for air, her eyes wide with fear as Luca loosens his grip, but not before giving her a warning look. Alpha Theron watches helplessly as they guide me away from the pack.
"Father, you can’t let this happen!" Mila’s voice cracks with desperation. "She’s taking my man away! I was the reason they were invited, not Zara! You can’t let this happen, not on my watch!" She’s trying to hold back her tears, but I can hear the sob in her voice.
"Calm down, Mila. It’s not the end of the world," Selene laughs, but it only fuels Mila’s rage. She slams her head against the wall in frustration.
"Get a hold of yourself, Mila!" Alpha Theron commands, his voice sharp. Mila storms off, retreating to her chambers.
"Go after your sister, Aria," Alpha Theron orders. "She wouldn’t want to see the other side of me. “Sorry for my daughter’s manner” Alpha Theron apologizes.
“She better watch it!”, Luca said angrily. “ I wouldn’t want to make her pay for disrespecting us”.
I grab Ryker’s face, pulling him close with a smirk that screams, enough is enough. "Let’s cut the drama, Ryker," I say, my voice dripping with authority and a hint of seduction. "We don’t need to crash this mess of a party they’ve got going here. Let’s all go create our own."
I see the shift in his eyes as he realizes I’m done playing nice. He releases me without hesitation, his cocky smile fading just enough to know I’m in control. Kade, Dax, and Luca are watching me, their eyes widening in a mix of admiration and something more primal.
"Damn, girl," Kade mutters, clearly impressed. "You really do have the sauce." He steps closer, his hand finding its way to my waist, gripping it with just enough pressure to make my pulse quicken. "Can’t wait to get a taste of you," he whispers, his lips brushing against my ear, while Ryker steps back, giving me space.
“Careful, Kade,” I whispered, my voice low and sultry. “You might not be able to handle what I’ve got.”
His grip tightened, and I could feel his chest rise sharply as I pulled back, letting my fingers trail down his arm in a teasing touch. I caught Dax watching me, his gaze dark and full of hunger. Luca’s eyes were glued to me too, his lips parted slightly like he was trying to control himself.
I let my eyes sweep over all of them, my confidence radiating in every move. “You all want a taste?” I asked, my voice dripping with seduction. “Then you’ll have to earn it.”
Dax’s jaw clenched, but he couldn’t hide the lust burning in his eyes. “Oh, we will, sweetheart,” he growled, stepping closer.“ But don’t think we’ll make it easy for you.”
I chuckled softly, running my tongue over my lips. “I like a challenge,” I said, holding their gaze, daring them to take the next step.
Why am I loving this? First I am reborn, then I set my killers up, and now, I’m leaving the party with the The Standon quadruplets. Am I fucking dreaming?
Time to shake some tables…….
Zara’s POV“You’re just a shadow, Zara, stealing what’s mine! Those men were never meant for you!”I couldn’t help but laugh, cold and mocking. “Oh, Mila, still clinging to scraps? It’s funny—after everything, you’re still second place.”Dax smirked, crossing his arms. “Your sister’s right, Mila. It seems you’re confused. We’re exactly where we want to be—with her.”Mila’s face flushed deep red with a mix of anger and shame. “Father! Are you seriously just going to stand there and let this happen?”Alpha Theron’s gaze flicked between us, and I could see the strain in his voice as he spoke. “Mila, enough. You know we owe the Kings our respect. If they’ve chosen Zara… then so be it.”Mila’s fists clenched, her whole body shaking with fury. “You’re weak, Father. Letting her ruin everything—”I cut in, my voice calm but deadly. “Ruin everything? Mila, honey, I’m just getting started.”Kade chuckled beside me, his voice low and menacing. “Watch it, Mila. Zara’s one of us now. Disrespect he
Zara’s POVThe scent of damp earth filled my lungs as I knelt in the forest, plucking herbs my father had demanded I gather for Aria and Ashen’s baby. My jaw tightened at the thought, bitterness pooling in my chest. Just a year ago, I would’ve carried out this task without question, trying to earn my father’s approval. But things were different now.As I worked, memories of that night surged up, pulling me back.I’d always been the outcast. Rejected by my mate, humiliated by my family, and cursed by the pack. My father despised me, and my sisters took every chance to remind me of my worthlessness. When my supposed mate, Ashen, chose my sister Aria over me, he didn’t just break our bond—he shattered my heart in front of the entire pack. I had died that night, in every way that mattered. But that brutal betrayal had only strengthened my resolve. I’d been reborn with one clear goal: revenge. Now, on the night of the Mating Ball, I was no longer the weak Omega they remembered. I had retur
Zara's POVI woke up feeling like my head was spinning. Every thought I had felt foggy, and my body was so heavy it took everything in me just to sit up. “Where… am I?” I whispered, glancing around the unfamiliar room. The dim light filtering through thick curtains didn’t help; if anything, it made the room look even stranger. I was tangled up in some thick sheets, twisted around my legs like chains holding me in place. Tugging myself free, I finally pushed the blankets off, and the shock hit me—I was completely naked.“What the hell?” I muttered, clamping my hand over my mouth. My eyes went wide as a strange shiver ran through me. Nothing about this made sense. I never went to sleep like this. My chest tightened as I looked around for some clue, anything to make sense of what happened last night. Then my eyes landed on something across the room—a calendar hanging on the wall. I stumbled over to it, legs barely holding me up, and stared at the date circled in bold red. My heart droppe
