Lorcan's POV

As I sat there, watching over my companions, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and responsibility. We had been through so much together, and I was determined to keep them safe. The fire crackled and spat, casting flickering shadows on the trees around us. I listened intently, my ears straining to pick up any sign of danger.

As the night wore on, the forest grew quieter, the only sounds being the distant hooting of owls and the occasional snapping of twigs. I began to feel a sense of unease, my mind racing with thoughts of what could be lurking in the darkness. I glanced over at my companions, their faces peaceful in sleep, and felt a surge of determination. I would protect them at all costs.
