Chapter 30

Ava POV

As I lay there, trying to make sense of my surroundings, Alpha Treyton and Rafferty approached me with caution. Their eyes were filled with concern, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I had no idea how I ended up in this room, and their presence only added to my confusion.

"Are you okay?" they asked in unison, their voices laced with worry.

I nodded slowly, still trying to process everything. My mind was foggy, and my back ached with a dull pain. I attempted to sit up again, but the pain shot through me like a bolt of lightning. I winced, and Alpha Rafferty quickly rushed to my side.

"Easy, Ava," he said softly. "You've been through a lot. Just take your time."

I glared at him, unsure of what to make of his words. What did he mean by "a lot"? And why were they acting like they cared about my well-being?
