Lorcan's POV

Lucifer led me out of the library and into a grand corridor, where we stepped into an elevator that whisked us down to a private hall. The atmosphere was decadent, filled with people dressed in skimp vesture, engaging in colorful conditioning that made the scene feel grotesque.

Couples openly gentled each other, while men sat around, drinking and watching strippers perform. The air stank of debauchery. As we navigated deeper into the hall, Lucifer bandied matters pertaining to the area, but I could not muster any enthusiasm. I kept my aspect fixed on him, pretending to hear hardly, all the while my mind wandered to the stark discrepancy between this snide scene and the tranquil library we had just left.

" I am telling you, Lorcan, our area's future depends on-"

" Yes, Father," I intruded, pretending interest." I understand."

Lucifer's eyes narrowed, as if seeing my objectiveness." You'd do well to pay attention, son. This concerns your future too."

Ava's PovThe dining hall of the castle was filled with the warm glow of the early sun streaming through its wide windows, illuminating the polished wood and the elaborately woven tapestries. The smell of freshly burned chuck and the low murmur of conversation filled the air. There was a tangible sense of respite and rejuvenation despite the recent struggles and the arduous path to recovery that lay ahead.I saw my mother Endora sitting at the head of the table, having a lengthy conversation with Lorcan and a few of our abettors, as soon as I walked into the hall. Her demeanor remained formidable, her gaze piercing and brimming with the strength and knowledge that had brought us through so much. She smiled warmly and said, "Good morning, Ava," her face softening as she spotted me. Our recent battle wounds had healed, but the memories lingered, deeply ingrained in our hearts and thoughts.I said, "Good morning, Mother," and sat down next to her."How are the medications coming on?"Endo

Lorcan's POV"My father, Lucifer, began to expound on the necessity of destroying the human kingdom, his voice growing more fervent with each passing moment. His eyes gleamed with an unsettling intensity, and his words dripped with venom.'They are a plague, a cancer that must be cut out if we are to survive,' he spat. 'Their greed, their selfishness, their destruction of the natural world... it's a poison that threatens to consume us all.'I felt a surge of unease as I listened to his words, my mind racing with the implications of what he was saying. I knew that he had always harbored a deep disdain for the human kingdom, but this was something different. This was a call to action, a declaration of war.'Dad, stop,' I interrupted, my voice firm but respectful. 'This isn't about revenge or hatred. It's about understanding and coexistence.'Lucifer's eyes narrowed, his face darkening with anger. 'You dare to question me, Lorcan?' he growled. 'I am your king, and I know what is best for

AVA’S POVI reluctantly stood up, looked around, and slowly walked back to my room. Feeling weak, my legs couldn’t carry me. I felt literal pains on them, though I had no injury. My heart seemed to be empty, and at the verge of passing out. I tried holding unto my breath, but the reverse was the case that they flew farther.“O! What a life! I never saw this coming. I got up, went over to the window, and threw it open. A sharp gust of air entered, cooling my flesh to the touch. A bead of sweat trickled down the back of my neck and congealed there before disappearing. I turned to return to the bed. My heart thumped with yearning; my eyes were sleep-deprived. Bodies, both friendly and hostile, were lying facedown on the blood-stained ground, their gasping eyes staring up at a blank sky. I inhaled sharply, each breath tasting of ash and the metallic aftertaste of blood. My brand, a faithful comrade in this bleak conflict, trembled in my hand, echoing the thunderous clash that had just finished. Eventually, the war came to an end. The words were foreign, even unimaginable. Our steadfast resolve had crushed the dark bournes of my father's army, bringing it to a halt. A realm that was about to be destroyed, the Witch Kingdom, was now safe and unhindered. The sadness of the lives lost and the broken gemütlichkeit coexisted with the sensation of palm. I pivoted, focusing my gaze on Ava's. Despite being ill, she had a strong light in her eyes that had not dulled. Her power had run out, but she was safe and her spirit

Ava's PovI, Ava, slowly opened my eyes, my head cloudy and my senses swirling. The world around me was a jumble of shadows and murmurs, and it took a while for reality to congeal into something tangible. I could hear distant, muted voices, as if they were from another universe. "What is going on?" I rumored, my voice barely audible. "Ava, can you hear me?" Lorcan's voice was critical, his remarks cutting through the fuzz. His anxiety was obvious, breaking through the fog in my head. I jounced weakly, hoping to empty my head." Y- yea. "What happened?" Lucifer's eyes narrowed as he looked at Lorcan, perhaps understanding him. "Lorcan, you wisecrack, " Lucifer growled in a menacingly low voice. "You slept with her, did not you?" Lorcan grinned without regret. "I did, and I'd do it again in a twinkle." Though rage flared in Lucifer's eyes, he seemed intrigued by Lorcan's unwavering confidence. "You have no idea what you've unleashed, do you?" Lucifer chuckled. Lorcan, though, only laughed.Well, I guess I do. Our senses and our powers. They're all amplified right now.
