The human Sheriff is taken aback by the beautiful woman who began to question him like an attorney.

"Miss, your council has permitted us to check the entire pack. We received a tip from an unknown number that Alpha Carter is the murderer. We are just doing our duty" Oscar clarified. What he is not sharing is that he is flustered. What Riley said is true. He cannot take an Alpha into custody without any solid proof. His only proof is the tip they received against the Alpha, which is not proven.

Riley snorted sarcastically.

"Our council has permitted you to check our pack. By all means, you can check it out until you are satisfied. But we cannot allow you to take my mate past our pack perimeters unless you bring the person who is claiming that my mate is a murderer" she argued.

Oscar frowned.

He doesn't know who the person who gave him the tip is, but he came here because he found Alpha Carter's fingerprints near the murder sight. It is proof enough to take the Alpha into custody.
