Rylan’s POV

“Right. But how?” Theron replied, his brow furrowing as he calculated our options in the tense atmosphere. The darkness swirling around my father was noticeable, a living entity reflecting his rage and malice. He was really under something strong.

Before I could respond, the energy crackled, sending a shockwave throughout the room. Morgan shrank further into the wall, his eyes wide with terror. I could see the desperation in them, echoing my fears.

“First, we need to contain him,” I said, pointing to my father. “If he’s distracted for just a moment—”

“I won’t let you take him!” my father bellowed, his voice reverberating, making the air tremble. “You are all just pawns in my game, and I will not lose!”
