Mia's POV
The sharp word "pet" echoed in my mind, its weight suffocating my thoughts. My heart pounded against my ribs as I struggled to find my voice. I opened my mouth, but no sound came through.
Jasper’s cold, unyielding gaze rooted me in place. His expression was unreadable, his presence a challenge itself. Finally, I managed to whisper, “You… you’re insane.”
A dark smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth, his eyes glinting with dangerous amusement. “Maybe,” he said, his voice low, a taunting growl. “But you’ll find out soon enough if you can refuse me.”
Before I could gather my thoughts, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from the hallway. My attention snapped to the door as the doctor entered.
“Miss Mia,” the doctor said, his tone final, “your mother is ready for discharge.”
My stomach clenched, and my gaze flickered at Jasper, who wore a smug expression that said it all: I told you.
My breath hitched. Torn between pride and desperation, I turned to the doctor. “Stop,” I called out, my voice shaking. The doctor paused, glancing back curiously. Forcing a strained smile, I gripped Jasper’s arm tightly. “My fiancé will clear the bills.”
Jasper’s expression softened slightly, a flicker of satisfaction crossing his face. But something in the way I touched him sent a ripple through me.
The doctor nodded, and led us to the accountant’s office. With every signature and exchange of money, I felt both a surge of relief and a sinking dread. My mother was out of harm's way, but the cost was unimaginable.
“Thank you,” I whispered to Jasper, my voice laced with bitterness.
He pulled a folded document from his briefcase and handed it to her. “Read the contract,” he said, his tone was disgustingly calm.
My hands trembled as I unfolded the paper, my eyes scanning the dense text. Each line made my stomach churn. No personal freedom. No refusal of demands. Limited contact with my mother.
“This… this is slavery!” I shouted, the paper crumpling in my fists.
Jasper chuckled, low and dark. “Call it what you like, Miss Montana. But you don’t have a choice.”
Fury blazed in my eyes as I glared at him, but I knew I was trapped. With shaking hands, I signed the contract.
The two weeks in Jasper’s mansion were suffocating. I stayed confined to my room, my mind haunted by thoughts of my mother. Guilt weighed heavily on me, but so did resentment towards the man who now controlled my life. But despite everything, he unraveled me in ways I couldn't explain, and I hated it.
One evening, I was pacing my room when Jasper stormed in. “Get dressed,” he ordered. “You have an assignment.”
I crossed my arms defiantly. "What assignment?"
Jasper’s brows knitted together as if he had never expected me to ask. "You are to seduce a bastard who double-crossed me."
“And if I refuse?” I snapped back.
Jasper’s eyes darkened. “You know the answer. I paid a fortune to you. You can't refuse," his final tone.
Reluctantly, I changed into my usual clothes, but when Jasper saw me, he frowned and called for something more provocative. Minutes later, a tight dress arrived, one that would cleave to my curves like a second skin, exposing my cleavage and thighs.
“I’m not wearing this,” I snapped.
“You will,” he said, his voice brooking no argument.
When I finally stepped out, I could feel his gaze on me, a heated hunger that made my skin crawl. But I pushed it down, ignoring the way my body betrayed me in that dress.
At the private club, I felt exposed, every lustful gaze making my skin crawl with disgust. I spotted Jasper's target at a secluded table and approached cautiously, my heart pounding.
“Mind if I join you?” i asked, my voice soft and alluring.
The man's eyes scanned me greedily, unaware of the tragedy that was about to befall him. “Please do.”
Feigning interest, I leaned in, laughing at his dry jokes, my fingers brushing his arm. He invited me to his private hotel suite within minutes.
As we left the club, I discreetly sent a text to Jayden. By the time we reached the hotel, Jasper’s men were ready. The man barely had time to realize what was happening before he was overpowered. I stood frozen as I watched the man's life come to a swift and silent end.
Over the next few days, he continued to assign me similar missions, each one more challenging than the last. To my surprise, I never failed, and my success only seemed to intrigue him further.
One evening as I returned from yet another mission, Jasper leaned against a desk, watching me with a hint of admiration. “You did well tonight,” he remarked.
I didn’t respond, it wasn't like I was proud of what I was doing, right? My face was a mask of forced composure. “Can I see my mother tomorrow?” I asked softly.
For a moment, he was silent. Then he nodded. “Yes.”
“Thank you,” I whispered, kicking off my heels.
Jasper hesitated by the door. His eyes locked onto mine, and he suddenly asked, “Has anyone ever kissed you before?”
My head shot up, my eyes widened. “What?”
“Has anyone ever… fucked you?” he asked, his voice dropping.
My back hit the wall as he closed the distance between us. His hands braced on either side of me, and before I could protest, his lips claimed mine.
I wanted to pull away. I tried. But my body betrayed me as his touch set my skin on fire, and before I knew it, I was lost in him.
His hands roamed over me, stripping away my clothes with brutal efficiency. My breath came in sharp gasps as he kissed my neck and my breast. I gasped as his mouth claimed my nipple, my body shuddering beneath him. Our moans filled the room, each sound stoking the fire between us.
This is supposed to be wrong, right? This intimacy should be between people who are in love or at least married. But, with him.....why was it difficult for me to pull away? Why did my morals vanish in the haze of his touch? Why did I find myself enjoying it, wanting more?
No, this isn't right. I said to myself, my resolve hardening. I summoned every ounce of courage, ready to push him away, but then his voice broke through, stopping me in my tracks.
"What do you want, Mia? Say it," he murmured, his voice softer than I'd ever heard.
My resolve crumbled. "I want you, Jas..."
Before I could finish, he thrust into me with an intensity that stole my breath. The pain, because it was my first time, the pleasure—everything blurred together in a heady rush of emotion. I wasn’t ready for this, but it didn’t matter. His body filled the space between us, and I was powerless to stop it.
He thrust deeper, and I cried louder, my fingers digging into his shoulders. "Ouch," I whimpered.
"You're so damn tight," he growled, his voice rough with pleasure as he moved with deliberate care, as if letting me adjust to him.
After what felt like a long ride, our bodies went in unison as we both reached a climax. I cleaned up after myself, the sheet stained with blood.
Minutes later, we lay tangled in the sheets, our bodies spent. I stared up at the ceiling, my mind racing with thoughts I couldn’t process. This was supposed to be just sex. But it felt… different.
I closed my eyes, trying to quiet the storm inside me.
And then, I felt it—something else.
My body trembled with an overwhelming intensity. Quietly, I slipped out of bed. Outside, the cool air did little to soothe as my body twisted, claws and fur emerging.
The transformation was painful yet exhilarating. My wolf took over, running through the woods until the urge subsided. I shifted back to my human form, trembling and naked. What am I? A werewolf? This can never be. My mind raced with possibilities.
That’s when I heard the sound—a rustling in the trees. I froze. Turning slowly, I saw a wolf with silver paws shift into a woman, her eyes glowing with reverence.
“Your Highness,” the woman said, bowing deeply. “I’m glad you’ve finally embraced your true self.”
Mia's POV I stared at the woman before me, her glowing eyes piercing through the shadows of the forest. Her silver pawed wolf had disappeared leaving behind a graceful clad figure. Her reverence unnerved me."Your Highness," she said again, her voice steady yet tinged with awe. "You've embraced your true self at last."I shook my head, my breath coming in ragged gasps. "No.....no, I don't know what you're talking about."The woman stepped closer, her gaze soft but unyielding. "You aren't merely human, your Highness. You are the daughter of the Great Alpha Ezra and Luna Jasmine—a rare hybrid of werewolf and human blood. Your wolf has awakened. Not fully, though."The ground beneath me felt like it was titling. "No," I whispered, taking a shaky breath backward. "You are lying. This isn't possible."The woman's expression didn't falter. "Deny it all you want, but the truth is in your blood. You felt it, didn't you? The transformation, the power coursing through your veins. Your are dest
Jasper's POV The dim light of my study cast long shadows across the room as I poured myself a glass of bourbon. The liquid burned down my throat, but it did nothing to quench the fire I had felt since I left Mia's room.Damn her.I couldn't stop thinking about her, the way her lips trembled as she avoided my kiss. Her scent lingered on my skin—a maddening blend of the forest and something darker, something I couldn’t place. It wasn't perfume like she claimed. No. I know the smell of deception, and it clung to her like a second skin.I set the glass down as my thoughts spiraled back to the previous night. It was nothing like I'd ever experience. For someone who prided himself on control, I'd be utterly undone by her.Mia was fire and softness all at once, a contraction that had captivated me in ways I didn't expect. It was not just the physical connection—though it had been the best I’d ever had— it was the way she looked at me, the quiet defiance in her eyes even as she surrendered.
Jasper's Pov The sound of her voice, cut through the room like a whip, sharp and unrelenting. Mia stood a few foot away, her arms crossed and blazing with defiance. "I am not doing this anymore," her voice was firm. "I am not risking my life for you or your missions, Jasper." I leaned back against the edge of my desk, my arms crossed as I studied her, her defiance was amusing —almost. And the fact, that I still find her suspicious made me flare up in anger. "You don't have a choice Mia," I said firmly, my voice was cold and unyielding. "You are in this because I put you. I paid a fortune for and I expected a return on my investment." Actually, I don't mean any of my words but I'm determined to put her in her place. Her defiance unravelled me and equally gets me annoyed. Her eyes widened for a while that I thought she might slap me. Maybe I deserve it afterall. Instead, she stepped closer, her voice shaking with barely restrained rage. "An investment? That's all I am to you?
Mia's POV Why do I care? Seriously, why do I care about how that bastard sees me? I had promised myself countless times to forget about him, treat him like he doesn't even exist and also forget about that night. But I couldn't, no matter how hard I tried.I paced around my room, Jasper's cold words stabbing at my heart like a dagger."An investment" he had called me that. All I had done for him, all I'd risked—it had all been reduced to a business transaction. Maybe it was a business transaction, afterall he did cleared my debts and paid for my mom's surgery fee to become his pet.My hands clenched into fists at my sides as I replayed the conversation. "A pet you can throw money at and expect submission." The words tasted bitter in my mouth. How dare he?A soft knock at the door drew me out of my thoughts. The door creaked open to reveal Elise, my personal maid. She was a kind woman with a warm smile that often masked a sharp tongue. We've gotten close in the past months that I had l
Jasper's POV The note taunted me from the table. It's bold letters carved into my mind. This wasn't just a warning; it was a declaration of war. I strode to the penthouse security room, and pushed the door open.My team’s surveillance setup was state-of-the-art, impossible to breach—or so I thought. I scanned the footage, my eyes darting across the monitor.Nothing.Every angle was clear. No sign of the blonde woman, entering or leaving the apartment. Whoever has been here was meticulous, slipping past my defence without leaving a trace."Impressive," I muttered under my breath, my jaw tightening. No one was supposed to outsmart, especially in my own domain. How the hell did she in?I pushed away from the desk and strode out, frustration burning in my veins. As I approached the elevator, something glinted faintly under the dim hallway light. I paused, crouching down to pick the small object. A piece of jewelry.A piece of earrings —simple, elegant and distinctly similar. I'd seen th
Mia's POV The heavy door slammed shut behind me, the echo reverberating through the small, cool prison I'd been locked in. My heart pounded as I sank onto the bare floor, trying to process what just happened. That bastard's words haunted me, cutting deeper than I cared to admit. "Enjoy your stay." How could he think I want to betray him? After everything I'd endured—everything I'd sacrificed for him.My hands trembled as I hugged my knees to my chest. Sabina, my wolf, stirred restlessly within me, her growls filling my mind."He's our mate," she hissed. I gritted my teeth, shoving her aside. "Some mate," I muttered bitterly. "He doesn't even trust me." Sabina's anger simmered, but she fell silent. The room was suffocatingly quiet. The only sound was my own ragged breathing. I couldn’t stop replaying the way Jasper had looked at me—cold, calculating, as though I were nothing more than a problem to be solved. And Jayden. I snapped my head, towards his holding cell, and watched as h
Mai's Pov The tension in the air was thick, the night shrouded in an eerie silence broken only by the distant sounds of rustling leaves. The man pinning me down paused at the sound of the voice, his grip loosening just enough for me to breathe. "Mia," the voice called again, closer and I recognized the person immediately— it was Elise. Relief and confusion flooded within me. Elise! Why was she here? Before the men could fully process what was happening, Elise stepped into view, emerging from the shadows. She was dressed in a strange, form-fitting outfit —a stark contrast to the modest maid uniforms she usually wore at the mansion. Her eyes were sharp, scanning the situation with a calm, yet deadly focus. One of the men scoff. "What is this? Another plaything? Get lost, sweetheart, before you get hurt." The other chuckled, moving toward her with a menacing grin. "You're pretty, too. Maybe we'll have some fun with you after we're done with her." "No. You, pigs, should get l
Jasper's POV I leaned against the desk, fingers drumming against the polished wood. "Jayden," I muttered under my breath. That fool. His loyalty to Mia was going to get him killed, and yet... I couldn't entirely blame him. Was it love? It had to be. It baffled me—Jayden, who I’d never seen so much as glance at a woman, was now willing to risk everything for Mia.Mia with her captivating beauty and fierce spirit could easily draw any man in. But why would he be so reckless? Why her? The same woman it seems I'm attracted to?After his little stunt to help her escape, I had no choice but to punish him. The men had tortured him, but he said nothing—no excuses, no confession, just silence.Jayden and I had roamed the streets of Las Vegas together. He had always been loyal, unwavering in his commitment to me. But now? With Mia, he was a different man, ready to throw himself under the knife for her.I can’t trust him anymore. If he refuses to confess, I’ll do this my way.And my way? My wa
Mia's POV Thick, suffocating silence stretched between us. I didn't miss the way Elder Seraphina sharp eyes scanned me as if weighing if I could handle the truth. Beside her, Sylvia's mother folded her arms, her expression cold and unwavering. "You think you're ready for the truth?" Seraphina repeated, her tone soft but hinting at condescension. "Jasmine betrayed this pack. She was a traitor who put this pack in harms way and that was why she ran and let you grow up in the filth of the human world." A scoff left my lips before I could stop it. I didn't believe me. I wouldn't believe this bullshit. "That's not true. My mother can be anything.....but a traitor?" I shook my head in disagreement. "No...." Sylvia's mother stepped forward, a sneer curling her lips. "Then why did you think everyone in the Pack is wary of you? Why did you think no one is ever talked about her?" My fists clenched at my sides. I can't believe this manipulative story. I knew my mother—at least, I thought I
Mia's POV Zane lunged at me before I could defend myself, and I stumbled to the ground. My legs still trembled slightly, and pain still clung to my muscles from yesterday's training, but I refused to let it slow me down. I stood up quickly, and faced him, my determination unwavering. It's either I win or I win. There was two options about it. I'm not giving up no matter what. Again and again, I moved, dodging, blocking, striking —but I was never fast enough. No matter how I hard I tried, he still won against me. His blows reached me before I knew what was happening, while my own never touched him—he'd sidestepped with ease, and knock me down like a weigh nothing more than a feather. Frustration bubbled inside me. "Focus," Zane snapped, his dark eyes accessing me like a predator. I tightened my fists, facing him head on. "I am focused." "No, you are not," he answered, striking me suddenly. His arms slamming into my stomach, sending me stumbling backwards. My ribs screamed in pr
Mia's POV Pain. Immense pain. The type that rendered the entire body useless was the first thing I felt when I woke up. My body throbbed from the brutal fight with Sylvia the previous day. Every of my muscles and bones protest as I forcefully pushed myself to sit up. The ribs where her kicks had landed stung. "Arghhh," I groaned in pain, placing my hand on the spot. I hadn't won, but I didn't completely lose, either. And the pain was worth it. I remembered the way some of the warriors had silently acknowledged me with their nods and stares, and I could also feel the faint glimmer of their respect. And yet, as I thought about the training ahead, my heart raced with a mix of fear and unease. Zane, the cold, calculating warrior with dark gaze had agreed to train me. I remembered how he had called me weak and promised to help me get stronger. Stronger. I had never bothered about that in the past —even when my life was being threatened while I was with Jasper. I had trusted him to

Jasper's POV "I'm curious if you would still be able to act like this if you discovered the true identity of your darling Mia."An unease feeling sparkled inside, my grip tightening around Elise's hair. I wanted to ignore her, to remind myself that she was just trying to get on my nerves but I couldn't. I exchanged curious glances who Jayden who just stepped into the room. "What the fuck do you mean by that?"Her laugh, low and mocking echoed through the room, despite all the pains she must have been feeling. "Oh Jasper," she breathed, her eyes gleaming with so much darkness—one that I could have never thought Elise would have. "You think you know Mia? You think she's just some naive, helpless girl? You have no idea what you've been fucking."A chill ran down my spine.Fucking? She even knows we've been fucking? Was there anything Elise didn't know? She was so quiet around the house, moving like a ghost but she knows so much.Jayden stepped closer, his expression unreadable. "Jasper
Mia's POV The moment, Sylvia slammed the door shut, I sat on the cold, lifeless bed. My fingers clenched into fists, my nails digging into my palms as I tried to calm myself down. I had expected hostility, but hearing it directly, seeing the hatred in Sylvia's eyes still stung. I turned to the empty walls, the large windows overlooking the Pack's training ground, but everything filled me with hollow emptiness. Somewhere out there, Jasper was living his life. Did he even regret letting me go? Was he even looking for me? Or I had become his past already? I tightened my jaw, forcing the thoughts out of my mind. I didn't have the time to dwell on the past. Right now, I had to focus on how to survive the present. But can I? Can I ever forget my mate? Can I ever forget the man who showed me so much love in this cruel world? ******* The next morning A sharp knock on my door made me shiver in fear. I forced myself to open the door only to find a guard standing at the door. "The Alpha
Author's POV Mia and Ezra went to the hospital to visit Victoria, whom Ezra constantly referred to as Jasmine and it had Mia wondering why he called her that. She asked Ezra but he wouldn't answer her. And she became frustrated but hoping to find answers in the so called Pack. Ezra visited Jasmine, paid the hospital bill in advance and also had guards stationed at her hospital room to keep her safe before eventually leaving the hospital and drove towards the Pack. Inside the car, Mia asked a question that has been lingering on her mind all day. "Why did you choose me?" She asked quietly. "Huh?" Ezra muttered, clearly caught off guard by her question. "I mean, you must have other children. But why are you so determined to make me succeed you?" She asked, her curiosity piqued as she hoped Ezra would answer her. From the little time spend together, she had learnt that Ezra was a man of few words. He doesn't like to talk unless it's important. He was silent for a while, his feature
Mia's POV I stepped out of the taxi, and made my way towards the hospital since I had no where else to go. For the past five months, my entire life had evolved around Jasper that I had forgotten how to live alone. I needed to see my mother. Maybe her presence would somehow steady the storm brewing inside me. Her presence would make me realize that I didn't overact. I had done just the right thing. A teenager had died and he wasn't a bit remorseful. Who knows how many more teenager he would kill to fulfill his personal vendetta? The hospital was just a few blocks away, but then it seemed like eternity, my legs were trembling and each steps felt heavier than the last. As I turned towards the dark alley, dragging my box along behind me, a black van screeched to a halt beside me. My heart pounded and before I could figure out what to do, strong arms yanked me and threw me roughly inside the van. I thrashed heavily, my screams for help echoing through the night, but a hard slap landed
Author's POV The next morning Mia sat across from Jasper at the dining table, picking on her meal absentmindedly, her mind still dwelling on yesterday's encounter with her father and jayden's assurance. Jasper knew she wasn't avoiding him, but she was also unusually quiet. It was unlike his Mia. He tilted forward, settling him cutlery down. "I know you're tired, and not in a good mood but I really need you for something." She raised a brow, wary like it was his deep voice that pulled her out of her thoughts. "What?" "There's a man who crossed me. He thinks he can get away with it, but I don't let betrayals slide. I need you to lure him in so we can finish the job," Jasper explained smoothly. Mia's fork clattered against her plate. "Lure him?" She repeated slowly, her tone unreadable. Jasper noded. "This is more simpler than any missions you've gone in the past. Jayden will be with you. So you won't be in any real danger." She stared at him for long moment before sighi
