Amelia's POV Kayden's arms were wrapped tightly around me, his hands gripping my waist and back almost painfully. But the pressure reassured me that I was safely out of harm's way. As his panic gradually subsided, I became aware of strange stirrings within myself. My mind was clear again yet emotions played in my chest that did not seem my own - anger, outrage, a fierce protective urge.
