Chapter 5

INGRID'S P.O.V.

“I… Argh!?” I screamed as I felt a piercing plane in my abdomen and my dress felt wet. "… My… My water just broke.” His eyes widened as I tried to reach for his hand. “Aegon please.” Tears rolled down my eyes as the pain increased. 

“It's not your water, it's blood” He mumbled, and my eyes widened “... Theo!!” He yelled and the door immediately flew open. 

“I…" I trailed off as I felt another wave of pain and the blood oozed from my inside, causing me to scream. 

“Hold on.” They carried me to a car and as Theo took the wheels, Aegon held my hand while trying his best to subside the pain I felt, but it was of no use.

“Quit rub… Rubbing my belle, it hurts!” I cried out and he immediately pulled his hand away.

My body felt drained and weak, looking towards Aegon I realized he was biting his nails like he does when he was worried, and I reached for his hand.

“I'll be fine.” My head felt light as his mouth moved, but I couldn't air a word that he was saying and the last thing I saw was a frown on his face as everything blacked out.

“I can't believe mum and dad want me to get mated with you? You're literally nothing but a weak and helpless Omega.” I heard a familiar spill angrily as I tried to regain my consciousness and my eyes flew open which I immediately regretted.

Adjusting to the lights, I looked about, and I felt the air being knocked out of my lungs as I realized it wasn't a dream, he was truly here. A wave of headache hit me like a ton of bricks and I looked down to see that my baby bump was gone. 

“Where… Where's my baby?” I touched my stomach and felt the weight and everything was gone, which made fear pierce through my veins as I panicked. 

“Stop getting worked out, he's in the incubator because it isn't time for his birth yet.” I felt relief as I saw him in the incubator and my attention went back to Aegon.

“Why did you save me?”

“You would have died if I didn't”

“You consider death in your life, what's the difference?”

“I will not have this conversation. Who is the father of this baby? Where's your phone? So I can give him a call to be with you.” I looked at him in disbelief, he thinks I slept with someone. 

“It's your child, Aegon." 

“Have you lost your mind? You don't expect me to believe the child is mine, I slept with you once, and you ran off to the human world and after three months you're with a child, what the fuck were you even thinking sleeping with a human?” 

“Enough Aegon. This child is yours, a child made while we mated. I ran away because I couldn't stand you and Dagna then I found out I was carrying your child. You said it yourself you'll kill if anyone knows about us having a one-night stand so I didn't show my face to anyone and I decided to stay here all because of you.”

“That baby is not mine.” His words pierce through my heart as tears filled my eyes.

“That baby is yours, Aegon. I stayed away because of you, and you suddenly showed up out of nowhere, why were you looking for me?” 

“You would have died if I wasn't there, worse the humans would have found out about us!”

“That doesn't change the fact that this child is a result of that one-night stand, the day you rejected me as your mate, I convinced a child without knowing it!” I yelled at him as I felt the rage within my heart grow. 

“This was the reason she left?” We heard Vimon's voice and turned towards the door to see his parents and Dagna standing there in shock.

“Mum I…"

“Aegon, this was the reason she left!!” Vimon sounded broken as she looked at her son while tears rolled down her eyes, “... And you didn't trust us well enough to tell us, Ingrid?”

“I was scared, I'm sorry.”

“You almost died with that child in you, Ingrid. You would have to help! You would have asked me for help, Ingrid.” Chills ran down my spine as I watched I cry in pain, but Kane stayed silent, yet I could see the pain in his eyes. 

“Aegon, you will take care of this child along with Ingrid as your mate and your son.” Kane ordered, and I looked at him.

“No, please, I'll go back to the human world with my child I…"

“You are not going out of my sight again, young lady.”

“I would never take her as my mate, we don't even know whether the child is mine or not!”

“This is an order, Aegon. She will be your mate, and you will take care of them as they are rightfully yours.”

“I said I won't!” He growled, and I gasped as Kane clawed Aegon's face.

“This is an order and you will obey it.”

DAGNA'S P.O.V.

I looked at the chaos happening in the room and I slowly left and pain pierced my heart. All my hard work for the past few months was gone in just a blink of an eye.

"Dagna" His voice made me freeze.

“Don't you dare, call my name.”

“Dagna, please listen to me, I can fix this.”

“Fix this? You cheated on me with her, hell. You even have a child with her, and you dare to speak of fixing, I do not want anything from you Aegon. We are done.”

“Dagna please.” I turned around and left the hospital and immediately headed towards the woods as I ran as fast as I could in tears. 

I sat beside the lake as I quietly cried, and my body went cold as I heard a branch crack behind me. I turned around and came face to face with the man who had caused the fire that killed Ingrid's parents years ago and wanted to kill Aegon's parents, which made me sigh in relief.

“Oh, it's just you Dad.”
