A simple ball, I had read. It was just going to be a small parlor event, I had assumed. I didn’t need to dress too fancy, I had thought. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I smiled back. “You’re obsessed with me, even my nasty sweat is therapeutic for you.” I joked to soothe my nerves down.
