Chapter 85: Deal

"Zoey, it's not what you are thinking. I can…" Before Elliott could explain, Zoey walked out the door, slamming the door behind her.

Elliott glared at Veronica, and she looked frightened at that moment.

Elliott shut his eyes, trying to control his emotions and then rushed into the closet to get dressed. He quickly put on a black trouser and a blue long-sleeved shirt. A few minutes later, he was already out of his room and headed for Zoey's room.

He wanted to find her and explain everything. He opened Zoey's door but she wasn't in her room. He walked out and saw a maid in the hallway and asked about Zoey, but the maid said she went out earlier this morning and hadn't returned to her room.

He went to the convocation hall and saw the crowd, and it occurred to him that he had missed the whole gathering and announcement.
