Chapter 30: Contention To Survive

As Alexander moved closer to the convocation hall, he could hear arguments going on in the convocation hall. Every step he took reverberated through the walls of the hallway. The clattering of his shoe against the well-tiled floor was signaling his approach to the convocation hall. Once he was close enough, the ruckus calmed down as the statesmen already sensed his presence.

As the doors creaked open, the statesmen stood up at once to offer Alexander a respectful welcome.

Alexander walked to his seat, and gestured to the statesmen to take their seat. Everybody had a different expression on their face as they sat down in unison, and the meeting began.

Statesman Cameron was the first to talk. "I am really disappointed, Alpha Alexander," he began, his voice laced with overstated grief.

"You didn't state to us that the war against the Blackwood pack was triggered by you and their Luna, Miss Vanessa's actions," Cameron dropped.
