Raven
"What!!!
My hands trembled as I caught sight of the scene before me, my eyes stung with unshed tears.
This must be a nightmare that I need to wake up from. Matt was saying the wedding vows with another woman. The man who once gazed at me with love now stood before another, his eyes shining with adoration.
At that moment, I wanted to scream, to run away, but my legs had turned jelly, making my feet rooted to the spot.
Matt was the Alpha of a neighbouring pack. We had been lovers since we were teenagers, and we'd officially dated for 5 years, but just last month, he announced that he would be marrying me. I couldn't help but smile when he proposed because Matt was the true definition of a good man, he was caring and very loving. What more could I want?
I was happy that I was finally getting married to the man that I had loved for years, there was no better joy than that.
He would marry me and make me his Luna and mate, or so I thought.
I opened my eyes, hoping to wake from this horror, just in time to see them lock lips after the Priest had pronounced them husband and wife.
My mind reeled in utter shock; my eyes scanned the scene, searching for a hidden camera, anything to explain this nightmare.
The elegant decorations and smiling faces seemed to mock me, their soft murmurs of congratulations a cruel reminder of my despair.
My emotions consumed me and I suddenly rushed towards them.
Ma..tt? Is that...you? I stammered, my voice trembling and tears welling up my eyes.
I just wanted to hear whatever explanation he has for this betrayal.
But a smirk twisted his face, heartless and cruel.
"Are you blind?" he asked, his voice full of malice.
I lunged at him, my fists clenched as I grasped his collar.
"No. No. This can't be happening; today is supposed to be our wedding day, Matt; tell me this is a prank, please." I begged, desperation settling in.
My wolf's sorrowful yip echoed within me and I gave way to tears.
Matt's new wife pushed me angrily from his chest. 'And who the hell are you?' She barked, her voice echoing like a slap.
I dropped weakly to the ground, the chatter of the wedding reception fading into chaos.
My mother's scream pierced the air as she rushed towards me to help me get up, her arms enveloping me like a shield.
I had thought my parents would be against the fact that I couldn't wait to find my fated mate before getting married but they had surprised me.
They were happy with my decision to finally get married without having to find my fated mate. Some wolves get to meet their mate, luckily for them, but we who didn't get to meet ours on time were left with no choice but to take up a chosen mate.
Now, Matt has ruined my only chance of being happy
Exhaustion weighed on me as I cried out, "Matt? Why? Today is our wedding day." tears pooled down my face.
"What wedding? Do you think that an Alpha like me would get married to a weak Omega like you?" He spat out, hugging his new wife. I stared at him in disbelief.
"What in the world are you saying, Matt"?
"I have been with you right from the start, and you chose to call me a weakling?"
"Does this sound like kind of a mistake?" I asked, moving towards him again.
"Hey, stay right there. Take one more step and I'll have the guards throw you out of my wedding." His wife spat at me, causing me to freeze.
Matt remained silent, he stood there, his lips locked on hers.
"Matt, please say something. What about us? We've been together for a long time and you can't end us like this." I screamed, collapsing to the floor.
The betrayal sliced through me like a knife, agony engulfed me, leaving an open wound.
He had ruined my one chance of being happy in life or so I thought.
My mum sat beside me on the floor, weeping, "It's okay, Raven. You'll be fine." She tried to console me but even that could not mend my shattered heart.
I looked up to see Matt still locking lips with his shameless wife and my heart broke in a thousand pieces.
I needed to be alone, I peeled off my heels and rose, my feet shaking like leaves.
"May you never know peace for the pains you've caused me. I wish you two good luck as you rot in hell." I spat, my voice venomous
I was overwhelmed with pain and anger, that I wasn't thinking straight. It was as though my emotions were wrestling for dominance, leaving me in a toxic, breathless mode.
Every muscle in me vibrated with rage as if my very foundation was crumbling, my heart racing. "What was happening to me?"
I could feel severe pain and wrath running through me, something was wrong.
Ara, my wolf stirred, her powers unfolding like a volcano.
"I think she's shifting." I heard someone say.
What? My wolf was ready to come out after all these years of being trapped within me.
I could hear the cracks of my bones, my body reshaping itself, and my senses reeled as my wolf took full dominance.
I dashed out of the hall as her wild power coursed through me.
Fuck!!!
Out in the woods, lonely and scared.
My heart raced as fear crept in, making my bones chill. We'd been running for hours, Ara was finally calm. But as dusk fell, I realized I was lost.
My mind link wasn't working, it was as if my access was blocked out.
"Where was I?" I muttered. Ara, who was never so quiet, was still, the silence deafening with each passing second.
I sat confused on the forest ground and tried to call out to her to take us back the same way she brought us here, but she remained still, hurting from the betrayal.
Suddenly, a tantalizing scent wrapped my nostrils like a warm embrace. I breathed in deeply, longing to hold that intoxicating scent in my lungs forever.
Ara jumped up, yipping happily. I followed the direction of the scent as though pulled by an invisible force. An unseen pull, impossible to resist.
"Could it be?" She snarled excitedly in my head.
"Calm down, girl,' I shot back as I hastened my steps towards the scent.
After a few more steps, I got to the lake, and the scent was now stronger, driving me crazy. Every cell in my body reached out, seeking connection from whoever the scent belonged to.
Just then, under the moonlight, my eyes landed on a masculine figure. Instantly, the scent overwhelmed me.
"Mates." Ara's joyful howl ignited a spark within me.
My mind reeled, and I struggled to comprehend what was happening
As I drew closer to see who it was, I noticed something and my excitement faded away.
"He was not alone."
"Not just one but three, three mates."
I shifted into my human form as the three men approached. Our eyes met, and it was instantly filled with a deep connection.
"Was it true?" I wondered. "Fated to be with three men?" "What would happen now?”
My heart raced as they approached me together at the same time and pace.
One of them spoke, his voice husky and low "We've been searching for you."
As they surrounded me, their combined essence enveloped me, intoxicating and irres
istible.
“How can I trust them after what Matt did to me?” I feel a connection, but is it just my imagination? My heart was racing.
Raven POVAs they reached me, my legs trembled beneath me, struggling to hold my weight My breath caught in my throat as the tallest of them towered over me, his broad frame radiating intensity. His eyes blazed with anger, the lines around his mouth forming a scowl"Who are you?" He growled, his voice low and menacing. I froze, as though paralyzed, my mind struggling to catch upHe grasped my chin, his touch firm but sending a jolt of fear in me.He tilted my face upwards, forcing me to meet his gaze"I said, who are you?" He barked, his breath hot against my ear."Ansel, ease up," One of them said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "She's scared.”I flinched, my thoughts returning, "I'm Raven.," I stuttered. “I'm not afraid of you guys,” I lied, my voice trembling. His eyes lingered on me before shifting to his brothers, who flanked him. Their unified steps sent a shiver down my spineTheir eyes narrowed, piercing me with intensity. “Wedding dress!” They chorused. “Are you running
Raven POV I looked at them, glancing from one face to the other. "Where are we?" I managed to say, breaking the silence. I got no reply. I had already forgotten that these men were rude and arrogant, I wasn't expecting a reply from them. They went deeper into the village, passing houses and a few people with scattered bushes. I also noticed something as we passed, people bowed or greeted these men when we passed. And that left me with one conclusion; they were men of high status. We walked for a while, and I could feel my legs giving up at this point; I was already weak, and I had been walking for a long time. "Please wait!" I said as I collapsed on the floor to rest my already tired legs. "There's no time for such trivial jokes." The tallest one barked. He was to be the one with the coldest temper."Please, I can't continue. My legs are heavy." I explained, massaging my sore foot.He dragged me up and pounced me onto his body as he tagged along with the other men. I slept
-Raven POV I had barely made a whimper when Asher's gruff voice got me, "Come here, mate.”The hint of alpha command that lashed at my skin had me stepping forward and then bending over to remove my underwear. He watched my body move, my breasts sway, with the kind of rapt attention I’d never found in another partner, not until now. Rowan prowled closer; his deep brown eyes stared into mine as I moved, and then they dropped down to my bare pussy.“You can move now,” he prompted, turning the page. “Just lower yourself down slowly. There, hold that pose for just a second.” Ansel shuffled closer, drawing with startling accuracy the curve of my parted thighs, the complicated jumble of my folds and Asher’s mouth straining to get to me. I couldn’t hold the pose for long.“Fuck, you’re dripping."His hands shot up, no matter what Rowan wanted, and Asher pulled me down onto his face, his tongue. It felt like that wet, mobile length speared straight into me, making me shiver.“Oh god…” I wh
Raven POV I've always read romance stories of wolves who marry their fated mate, walking hand in hand with each other, laughing together and whispering sweet nothings in each other's ear. But never did I think that mine would be triplets who only care about nothing but: what's between my legs. The memories of the night flooded my mind and I gave way to a low growl as I recall how each of them pounced on me, claiming my virginity. Remembering the sweet tales my mother used to tell me about the first night with a fated mate, the gentle touch and soft caresses, the warmth of each other's presence made a smirk form on my lips but the events of the night crashed against those fantasies like a cold wave. My skin prickled with unease because of the shock holding me. I tried to get up from bed, but my legs felt numb; feeling as though my muscles were crushed. I stumbled, catching myself on the bed frame. “This is not the life I wanted,” I murmured to myself, feeling a mix of pain, ange
Ansel's POVHer lips were trembling, fear etching all over her but I couldn't help but smile. I could hear the rapid beat of her heart, matching the pounding going on in my chest. Her eyes showed evident fear as she took a step back, but I wasn't here to cajole her. I'm never going to allow any she-wolf to treat me like shit. Asher's gaze narrowed, he gritted his teeth and reached for Raven, taking her hands in his.Asher's desire to protect her was clear. He has always been free-spirited, willing to give anybody their space but I didn't budge. Raven's gleaming eyes full of defiance were enough proof that she wasn't as innocent as she looked. And I refuse to be caught off guard.I threw some training pants which I had brought with me, recalling she came here with nothing. “Quickly, change to this! We don't have all day.” I said, boring my gaze onto her.“In this pack, you must be strong to protect yourself and as our mate, you are not allowed to be weakling. I voiced out.” venom d
Raven POVI stood rooted on the spot, my heart pounding on my chest as the guard broke the news about their father. Their faces fell, etched with concern as they exchanged worried glances, brows furrowed. Without delay, they scurried off with a sense of urgency, their footsteps, quick and urgent. The air was charged with tension. Guards and maids rushed past me, their footsteps pounding on the ground and echoing through the stillness. The eerie silence that followed only confirmed to me that something was wrong.“Did their father die?”I hurried forward to see for myself but crashed on the ground, hitting the floor with full force. Pain reverberated through me as I glanced at the fresh bruises on my wrists and knees_ Ansel's tight grip had left its mark. For a moment, I lay there, overwhelmed by anguish.“Why was I concerned about their welfare when all they've shown me is wickedness?” I muttered to myself. I couldn't care less.I scrambled up, supporting myself with my hands rest
Rowen POVWhen I stepped into the king’s chamber, I was immediately hit by the familiar scent of his wolf. But there was another scent now,, something more ancient lingered—the scent of the curse. It was growing stronger. My father, once a fearless warrior, now lay weak, his strength slipping away, his hair now completely white, a sign his power was slipping away from him. The sight of him like this sent a sharp pain through my chest.Dropping to my knees beside his bed,. “Father…” my voice was barely above a whisper. My brothers, Ansel and Asher, knelt beside me, their expressions a mirror of my own pain.He gave us a weary smile, his voice hoarse. “My sons… I’m sorry you have to see me like this. I am trying to hold on, but I grow weaker by the day. I can barely even hear my wolf speak anymore…”Fear shot through my body like lightning making me feel sick. Even Ansel sucked in a sharp breath. We all knew what it meant when a werewolf began losing connection with his wolf. And it was
Raven's POVI struggled against their grip, my heels scraping against the cold, hard ground as they dragged me forward. Stones and pebbles dug into my heels. I hissed, biting down on my lip to keep from making a sound. They weren’t even trying to be gentle.Bastards.“Let me go!” I pleaded again, twisting my wrists, trying to break free, but their hands were like iron shackles around my wrist. The taller guard, his face twisted in a permanent scowl, snorted. “Shut up. Be glad we’re being civil with you.”“Civil?” I barked out a bitter laugh, my chest heaving with anger. “You call this civil?”The shorter one, his grip tightening painfully, leaned down just enough for his breath to brush against my ear. “Trust me, outsider, you don’t want to see what uncivil looks like.”A shiver ran down my spine, but I refused to let them see fear in my eyes.We walked further and further away from the place where my mates had left me, confusion and fear twisting in my chest. My vision blurred as tear
Raven POV Morgan didn’t look back at me. “What do I want? Oh, Raven, that’s the wrong question. What do you want?”The silence stretched out between us, the air thick with tension. My mind raced, trying to make sense of everything I was seeing.Morgan’s cruelty was evident in the creatures that slithered and prowled around us, their eyes cold and lifeless, their movements like puppets on strings. My anger surged, burning through my veins.“Why are you doing this?” I asked, my voice tight with fury. “Why are you enslaving innocent creatures, using them like this?”Morgan’s smile stretched into something far colder, more calculating. She tilted her head slightly, finally turning to look at me, studying me as though I were an insect in need of examination. “Innocent?” she repeated, almost amused. “You call them innocent? These creatures are nothing but tools—tools that help me achieve what is rightfully mine. They’re weak, living in fear. And I’m giving them purpose.”I shook my hea
Raven POV I stood there, with my hand pressed to my chest, heart racing, feeling the weight of the queen’s cold gaze upon me.“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice shaking despite my attempt to remain calm. She chuckled softly, the sound low and almost mocking. “Oh, so you know who I am,” she said, her eyes gleaming with amusement. “That’s very interesting, don’t you think?”“Very interesting indeed,” I muttered under my breath, not able to stop the bitterness that seeped into my words. She stepped closer, her presence suffocating. “Well, it seems like you haven’t been getting my messages,” she said casually, “So I came to pick you up myself.”“I’m not going anywhere with you,” I snapped, clenching my fists, unwilling to show the fear that threatened to rise in my throat. “You monster.”She raised a single eyebrow, her lips curling into a slow, sinister smile. “Who told you that you had a choice, my sweet girl?” Her words were laced with such venom that it sent a chill dow
Rowan POV The battle raged on with death on both sides, but something felt wrong. I couldn’t see Morgan anywhere. She kept sending mindless creatures at us, but there was no sign of her.Was it a distraction? Was there something else at play?“Behind you!” I heard one of my comrades scream. I spun around just in time to block a strike that would’ve taken my head off. Beside me, one of my comrades fell, lifeless.I turned and squinted into the far corner. From the shadows, Kelvin emerged, with a smirk on his face.Damn, bastard.I charged towards him with everything I had, shifting midair. My claws slashed through the air, aimed directly at him.We collided in a brutal clash, a flurry of strikes. I clawed; he ducked and retaliated with punches, sending invisible strikes that rattled my bones. We were locked in an all-out battle—neither of us giving an inch.“Where is your queen?” I demanded, trying to catch my breath between strikes.Kelvin’s smirk deepened. “Oh, she’s exactly where
Raven POV I watched them go but couldn’t bring myself to say goodbye. The words stayed locked in my throat, heavy with frustration and helplessness.I hated the way they treated me—as if I couldn’t make decisions for myself. Like I was fragile. Like I’d shatter.People were out there dying, sacrificing their lives for me, and I was just… here. Sitting inside like some fucking damsel in distress.A chill drifted through the hallway, brushing against my skin. I lifted my head and noticed it was snow. The first snow of the year.A small smile tugged at my lips despite everything.Snow always reminded me of fresh beginnings. Of the quiet before everything changes.I stepped further inside, warmth slowly replacing the cold that clung to my clothes. Then I saw Loira. She sat alone, her posture tense and her eyes distant. She hadn’t been herself since that day on the training grounds.“Loira,” I called gently. Her head turned; she seemed so slow and unsure, as if pulled from somewhere far a
Rowan POVWe rode toward Refune, the wind biting at our faces, the forest growing darker with every mile we left behind the palace walls. The trees here stood taller, denser, the silence between their trunks thicker—like the land itself was holding its breath. The further we got from the safety of home, the more my chest ached. Not from physical pain—but from something deeper. A sense of dread curled tight around my heart.I glanced to my side and saw Gwen still leaping gracefully between tree roots and low branches like a creature born of wind and shadow. Behind her, our soldiers followed. And Ansel… he moved with that same storm in his eyes, always watching, always calculating. But none of them knew the ache crawling through my bones. This—this mission, this trap we were riding into—it was necessary. If we could lure the Queen out, if we could defeat her once and for all… maybe the bloodshed would stop. Maybe Raven will finally be free. She was the reason I was even still alive. T
Rowan’s POVAfter the meeting, I walked back to my chambers in silence. The corridors of the palace were dimly lit, everywhere was quiet except for the soft echoes of my footsteps. But my thoughts—they were anything but quiet.I kept seeing her face. The way Raven looked at me.Like she was breaking… every time I turned away.Every time I swallowed the truth instead of speaking it.And still, there was nothing I could do.Because I’m dying.Slowly. Quietly. Without dignity.I stepped inside my room and shut the door behind me, resting my forehead against the cool wood for a second longer than necessary. Then I turned and made my way to the mirror. My hands moved to my shirt almost mechanically, peeling the fabric away from my skin. The mark had spread further. The cursed veins, once subtle shadows under my skin, now crawled across my chest like thorns etched in ink—ugly, angry, pulsing. I clenched my jaw, steadying myself against the wave of pain that shot through my side. It wasn’t
Raven POV I stepped into the war room, my stomach still twisting from the encounter with Ansel. The atmosphere was already tense—Rowan and Asher sat quietly at the far end of the long table, both their expressions unreadable.I took a seat beside Rowan, offering a soft glance his way, but he didn’t return it. He hadn’t looked me in the eyes since the mating ritual.Moments later, the doors opened again and Ansel walked in with Gwen by his side, both followed by two guards escorting someone between them.My heart nearly stopped. It was the priestess. The one who first told me of the prophecy. The one whose voice still haunted my dreams with those cryptic words. She limped forward awkwardly as if one of her legs was barely holding weight. Her robes were tattered and stained with dried blood and soot. Her face was pale, but her eyes locked on mine with startling urgency.I stood immediately, nearly knocking over the chair behind me. “Priestess—”I rushed forward, catching her as she s
Raven POV Loira had been gone for quite a while now, but I didn’t go after them. She deserved her moment—whatever was happening, she’d come back when she was ready.I was exhausted. Every muscle in my body ached, the kind of satisfying soreness that came from pushing limits. But despite the fatigue settling deep in my bones, I felt more alive than I had in days.Training with the guards, sparring, laughing, being seen… not just as a queen, but as one of them—it meant something. It made me feel grounded. Stronger than I was yesterday. And with the blade now strapped to my side, I felt almost invincible… even if I still didn’t fully know how to use it.I ran a gentle hand over the hilt of the sword, fingers tracing its worn handle. There was something comforting about it. As if it truly did choose me.“Raven!!”The sudden shout made me flinch. My head snapped up, and I saw Ansel striding across the field, his jaw clenched and his golden eyes blazing with fury.Oh! No.“Where have you
Loira POV I didn’t hear what Kael and Raven were talking about—my mind had wandered again, lost somewhere between the rhythm of the training ground and the persistent flutter in my chest. But then I heard my name.“Loira?”I jerked back to awareness, blinking quickly as my eyes locked with his. “Yes—yes?” I said, a little too fast.Kael took a step closer, the sunlight catching the edge of his armor. “Can I talk to you for a moment?” he asked, his voice quiet but steady.“Me?” I repeated dumbly, awkwardly pointing at my chest like there was another Loira nearby. He almost smiled, but held it back. “Yes. You.”I turned instinctively to Raven, seeking her reaction. "She wasn’t trying to hide the soft amusement in her eyes. "She gave me a tiny, encouraging smile. “Go on. "We’ll be here waiting,” she said gently.I hesitated only for a second longer before nodding.“Okay,” I murmured, brushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear and following him as he led me a little further off the t
