Chapter 5

At Hotel XXXX

Kate spinned as she looked at the mirror laid in front of her.

With a wide grin on her lips, she looked at Michael at the side that was looking at her like some proud mother, looking at her daughter finally growing up and seperating from its parents bosom.

It's a bad thing that he's not the parent here.

Kate's mom, Marie, entered the room and looked at Kate, who was wearing a white dress to compliment her 18th birthday today.

An official age to be an adult werewolf (at least, that was the belief of the White Moonlight pack) and an age to mate with their mate.

"My daughter is truly so beautiful in a white dress!" Marie exclaimed in pure joy as she looked at Kate up and down with shining eyes, like she would never ever be tired of just looking at her daughter, who was undeniably pretty today.

Kate blushed but still smiled, creating a wave on the helm of her dress by moving her hips.

Michael clapped his hands down and finally intervened in this conversation that seemed to be continuing and would last as long as Kate's mom started tearing up and was about to say something once again to further down this conversation.

"Now, now now, the two of you must save your chitchat for later. The guests are waiting for our lovely birthday girl already."

Marie wiped down the nonexistent tears on her eyelids as she chucked wryly while saying, "Oh yeah. I'm so caught up with my daughter finally becoming an adult. I did not realize that I was taking away your time."

Kate smiled and shook her head.

"No need to apologize, Mom. I know you will become a little bit emotional when I am finally an adult," Kate said.

Michael waved his fingers as Marie smiled, proud that her daughter had grown up to become so understanding of the situation.

"Now now now. "Before you go, my pretty friend, wear this crown to highlight your beauty, so no one could ever beat your spotlight 

Kate chuckled after Michael's words fell.

"Oh you..."

Kate bent her knees down as she allowed Michael to put the crown embedded with rare diamonds on her head.

A butler suddenly entered the room and looked for the birthday girl.

Spotting Kate, who was very dazzling on Michael's side.

The butler smiled and opened his lips to announce.

"The guests are calling for the birthday girl to appear."

Kate's cleavage moved as she inhaled and exhaled, feeling very nervous all of a sudden.

"I'm going out now," Kate responded back with a smile.

She looked at her mom and Micahel as Michael tacitly made way for her like a gentleman as her mom, Marie, linked their arms together.

Kate inhaled and exhaled one last time as they finally went outside.

As expected, a lot of people with different gazes looked up at Kate, who came out of the room after a long time of waiting for the birthday girl to appear.

They were stunned and rooted on their spot as their gaze could not be moved away from Kate's figure, which was so dazzling for tonight.

"You are such a lucky man, Raize!" Theo nudges Raize's shoulder when he says that.

But his gaze had never been moved, even when he was talking to Raize.

Raize looked at Kate, then at his friend; his eyes narrowed down as he spoke in a deep voice.

"Yeah, I am such a lucky man that I have a mate like Kate." Raize emphasized the mate word, wishing it to serve as a warning for his friend who might have already fallen in love with Kate, who was unexpectedly dazzling today.

Even Raize does not know that his mate could be dazzling like this.

It was a real shock when he finally saw Kate in a white dress and all dolled up.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're a lucky man. I know that already." Theo finally moved his gaze away after perceiving the sourness in Raize's tone.

"You are such a jealous man, bro." Theo shook his head as he gulped down his wine glass and roamed around to look at the women present, except at the stage.

Raize only kept silent as he finally walked in Kate's direction, while Theo also went to a woman's side after his left eye winked.

Raize revealed a small smile as he extended his palm down, clearly requesting a dance when the slow music started.

"May I have a dance with the birthday girl now?"

Kate revealed a wide grin as she slowly but excitedly held Raize's extended halm, nodding profusely in response after thinking it would be rude not to say anything now.

"Yes! I would like—no, love—to have a dance with you. My mate" 

Raize smiled at what Kate said, but some unknown thoughts flashed through his eyes as he held Kate's soft hands.

"Let us dance, shall we?" Raize murmured as he spinned Kate down slowly.

Kate smiled as she danced with Raize.

After a long time had passed, the moon outside the window became a full moon as some of the guests started to turn into wolves and howl after they could not suppress their wolves inside anymore.

Raize's eyes narrowed down as he held Kate's hands and hugged her tight before he brought Kate to the bottom of the forest, where a cave that was hidden inside the bushes was.

Raize entered the cave with Kate in his arms, as Kate was finally put down and was now currently looking at the cave, which was so clean, like someone was taking care of it every day.

Kate was suddenly hugged from behind as raize breath that was so hot sprayed onto her ears and neck.

"You are now of legal age," Raize whispered as he kissed Kate's neck.

Kate's cheeks flushed as she hummed and nodded her head.

"So we can f***ck now, right?" Raize said it again.

Now it was Kate's turn to turn red; she was red like a tomato, but she still answered Raize.

"Y-Yeah"

Raize narrowed his eyes into a slit as he captured Kate's lips.
