Cara’s pov
My heart pounded like a war drum as I sprinted up the worn stairs of the old building. The cold, damp air bit at my skin, but I didn't stop. I couldn't stop. “Cara, wait!” Alice's voice echoed through the empty corridors, filled with concern. Her plea was swallowed by the groaning of old wood beneath our feet, but I didn’t turn back. I forced myself forward, bearing the exhaustion that wanted to engulf me. unshed tears burned my eyes.“Just leave me alone!” I choked out, my voice raw and trembling. I didn’t care how broken I sounded, I just needed to escape this endless nightmare to find some sliver of peace. My pack bluecreek pack is a very big pack. It has many structures and investments to its name. an example is the old building where the servant and the Omegas call home. A building that has been left in the mercy of destruction by my alpha, but seeing that his labor, practically servants were increasing in number, decided to renovate the abandoned property. I ran blindly to my room, not caring about my worried friend running after me. I just needed some space after being treated like a remote-controlled pet, which I already was anyway after coming from the alpha office. I fumbled with the right key on the lock, but my shaking hands just can’t cooperate with me. But at last, the door opened, and I stumbled inside, locking the door behind me. Leaning against the door, I slid to the floor, gasping for breath. The tears that threatened to spill out when I was in the Alpha office gushed out like waterfall, blinding my vision. Holding my head, I tried to block out the tormenting memories. It all started this morning… ****** flashback***** (In the morning) I had just woken up from my sleep, dragging myself out of bed. After a quick, cold bath, I stood in front of the cracked mirror hanging above the rusted sink, staring at the shadow of the girl I had become. With skin, pale and thin, and cracked mouth. I hissed in pain as I tried nursing my wounds I received recently. Numerous tending of my wounds and sometimes other of my fellow servants has made me a miniature moving hospital. I hissed in removing the bandages I applied to it the other day. Thankfully, it has joined its fellow mates to imprint a scar on my tender skin. The faded scars of other punishment I had received for years are still imprinted on my skin.I cringed as I recall the pain of the whip. I could still remember it as if it were today. The Bane Whip, as it was called, is a whip made for werewolves and dipped in wolfbane specifically so that the scars will resist the healing nature of us werewolves. It runs along my back down to the top of my shoulder. A constant reminder of my place in the pack. alpha Black had so many of us that he got from wrecked and destroyed packs that were invaded by rogues. We work for him and his pack, and we are given a little portion of food and a roof to sleep under. To many of us, we see it as a chance of salvation because wolves without packs become rogues who roam the great woods. My hair, which was still wet from bathing, was folded up with a towel, but on normal days, it ran down the small of my back. Yes, I know you might wonder how ridiculous it might be, but that was how I was born. With deep hazel eyes to match and a lean athletic figure. I have high cheekbones and a perfectly shaped nose like I have been told by my friends in the pack.I sighed as the reflection staring back at me looked like someone who was malnourished and hadn't gotten good food for like forever. Pushing all thought out of my head, I dressed in our normal dirty dress that we the Omegas usually wear to do labor. I sensed my friend Alice coming out of her room, so I quickly finished what I was doing and opened the door, getting ready for today. “Good morning, damsel in distress,” Alice's cheerful voice called out. Her grin was wide, her energy somehow unfazed by the weight of our reality. I rolled my eyes, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips despite myself. “Who’s a damsel, you old witch?” I shot back, nudging her playfully. Alice has only been the only person I have bonded with since my stay in the pack. She is a cheerful girl and also a refugee of a pack that was attacked by rogues. We have that in common, and again, she was my age mate, 20 years old. “Are you ready for the big day” Alice shouted like a baby in my ears. I shoved her off cause she was so loud in my sensitive ears. “Alice, it's just a party,” I replied. I can't make out why my friend was always joyful and happy despite living in this hell hole. Sometimes, I can't help but envy her carefreeness. As we made our way to the pack hall for breakfast, Alice chattered on about the upcoming party, a grand celebration where Alpha's son would be officially named the heir. I'm seeming very excited for the so-called party. We were sitting at the table set aside from the rest of the dining tables with my fellow slaves, more of listening to Gossips that was flowing throughout the table. Alice and Julia mostly argue on the park party that is upcoming a week after. Julia mentioned that the party will be where Alpha's Son will be officially declared next in line to be the new Alpha. What!? Cara shouted her voice a little higher than a slave gossiping about her alpha. “Really Alice, keep it down” shifting on my seat, my eyes darting around the table. “Oh my God, Alice,” Julia whispered. “Sorry, I was just shocked” Alice apologised. I was curious as to know the latest gossip that Julia had probably told Cara, I couldn't help but turn towards them with expectant eyes. Cara leaned and whispered to my ears that the king of rogues was spotted near a neighboring pack. I widened my eyes in shock as the “king” as was his title, was a well-known figure in the whole of Ellorin. Though it was not proven, many regard him as the king of rogue wolves and consider him the strongest wolf no alpha has defeated till now. “No wonder” I exclaimed, the security In the pack was tightened, and this morning on my way to the dining hall I could feel the tense atmosphere among the warriors of the pack as they patrolled with alertness. Julia was one of us, but she worked in the Alphas house, so she quickly became Alice's friend and gossip mate. That's Gossips with her every morning, therefore making her an acquaintance. The meal continued with Julia and Alice chattering around me about the latest gossip in the pack. We finished eating, and just as we were to stand up, Aaron, who is also a refugee but works with the Alpha as his office errand boy came up to us. “Hey Aaron” Alice greeted him. Aaron pretended not to hear her as he turned to me. “the Alpha summoned you to his office” he uttered, shocking all of us. I was led to the pack house where the alpha's office was located. A three story building that was the biggest in the Pack. I shivered as I was led to his office. Alpha Black was a huge bulky man who had ribbed muscles with an imposing air. menacing tattoos were drawn all over his huge arm, which is the size of my head in width. I bowed my head as his alphas' presence was pressuring. “Cara sit down” he said in his bariton voice. Surprisingly calm, he gestured to me. There’s something important I need to discuss with you,” he began, his tone cold and matter-of-fact. “From now on, you will no longer be part of this pack.”His words hung in the air, freezing me in place. I couldn’t comprehend what he was saying, couldn’t process the implications. “You have been selected,” he continued, his voice like a hammer driving the words into my skull, “as a sign of goodwill for the relationship between our pack and a neighboring one.” I blinked, the reality of his words crashing over me like a tidal wave. My chest tightened with fear and confusion. To be sent to another pack as a gesture of goodwill? What did that even mean? My mind raced through the possibilities, each one more terrifying than the last. Would I be a servant? A concubine? Or worse? “Cara, you should be grateful,” Alpha Black said, his voice cutting through my panic. “This is an honor. A service to the pack that saved you.” But there was nothing honorable about it. I was being sold, handed off like a piece of property. My thoughts spiraled, a storm of fear and anger that I couldn’t control. *****end of flashback****** (Back to present) Tears streamed down my face as I recalled the Alpha’s words. What did it mean to be offered to other packs? The thought of being used by another Alpha sent chills down my spine. i was jolted into reality by loud banging on my door.Cara’s pov"it's Alice!" The person behind the door answered amidst consistent banging, I took a deep breath calming my already racing heart. For a moment, I thought it was them.the pounding on the door, intensified, adding to the headache I already had from crying too much over my pitiful life. I managed to get up from where I sat, wiped my eyes, and went to open the door for her.“Oh my God, Cara, are you okay?” Alice exclaimed, grabbing me the moment the door opened.“I…I’m…” I couldn’t finish my sentence before breaking down again, but Alice was there to catch me.“Cara, you need to tell me what happened. Why did the Alpha summon you to his office? Are you in trouble? Please, Cara, tell me,” Alice pleaded, her voice full of concern.I tried to calm down, and after what felt like an eternity, I was able to speak. I told her everything, how Alpha Black planned to sell me off for his benefit. When I finished, Alice, usually so talkative, was speechless. I watched her as she got lost
Cara povs The Party had already started when my escort and I arrived at the park hall. The hall was filled with important personnel in the park like the beta, with his family and the delta , followed by the elders of the park and some other important people. Also, some strange faces were also included in the party, those I immediately recognized as the emissaries of the neighboring park that have come to take us. I was led to the stage where the Alpha was entertaining his guest and also were the other four girls who were also to be taken were seated. I was surprised that I was the last to come, but it probably makes sense cause the other girls have been told a long time ago, while I was just being aware of everything this morning. I took my seat at the table where the other girls were seated with smile plastered on their faces. deep sense of disgust came over me at this girls that probably knew what they were going into but are happy and looking forward to it. At the Clim
Cara povsThe leaves clung to me like damp reminders of the storm that had passed, and the soil beneath me was sticky with mud. Rain had poured relentlessly, leaving me drenched despite my desperate attempt to shelter beneath the canopy of an ancient tree. Three days had passed since I fled the pack, and somehow, I’d encountered neither rogues nor anyone sent after me. The lack of pursuit should’ve been comforting, but it wasn’t. A gnawing guilt clawed at me as I thought of Alice. Had she survived the attack? The thought twisted my stomach, guilt mixing with the ever-present fear. I was a criminal now, a deserter. Abandoning the pack in its moment of need was unforgivable. Even if I wanted to return, my welcome would only be the sharp edge of execution. I sighed bitterly, shifting on the damp ground. Weak. Pathetic. That’s what they’d always called me, and they weren’t wrong. As an Omega, I wasn’t made to fight or survive like others. Sure, we healed quickly, but that wasn’t much he
Cara povs My vision was blurry as I woke to darkness, the world around me hazy and unclear. Gradually, my eyes adjusted, and I realised I wasn't alone. The old nanny who called herself Debby was sitting beside me. I let out a frustrated sigh, noticing I had been moved from the main room to one of the smaller ones. My body felt heavy, weighed down by exhaustion and weakness as I dragged myself out of bed. "My lady, please," Debby pleaded, her voice laced with concern. "You need to stay in bed until you're strong enough." My head began to clear, and the memory of what had happened flooded back to me. The beast had marked me… The thought was bitter as it echoed in my mind. Hot tears welled up in my eyes and slid down my cheeks. I reached up to touch my neck, feeling the tender spot where his teeth had sunk into my skin like a bloodthirsty predator. The pain was still raw, seared into my memory. Sitting quietly, I reflected on everything that had happened, the reality sinking in
Brian’s POV The night was quiet and still. The usual sounds of crickets and frogs were absent, leaving only the rhythmic thumping of the deer's heart echoing through my sensitive ears. As we crouched beneath the leaves, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. I am Brian, the leader of the Mafians Wolf Pack, a group of rogues I created for one purpose: revenge. Most of my packmates were abandoned by their former packs, turning rogue because they no longer belonged. We seek justice, to be recognized as wolves, not as abominations. "Alpha, should we proceed?" Garreth, my brother-in-arms and Beta, asked through the mind link. I focused on the group of deer grazing unaware of the doom about to befall them. Flanked by my warriors, hardened veterans I always hunt with, I counted down. "Everyone, listen for my mark. On the count of 3, 2, 1…" Hell was unleashed as ferocious wolves hidden in the shadows darted towards the herd, with me leading the charge. The hunt was a one-sided
Brian povs My mind was in chaos, filled with anger after the mistake that never should have happened. I’ve been holed up in my office, working non-stop for the past 48 hours. I blame Debby for not doing her job properly, for letting that weak Omega slip out that night. I can't believe I marked her. Of all people, a weak Omega I hissed in anger at what I did. she can't be my mate, never. I growled, pounding my desk, sending papers flying and spilling the alcohol that had been sitting there. A knock sounded at the door before my secretary timidly entered. "Master, is everything alright?" she asked, worry evident in her voice as she kept her eyes downcast. "Ha, yes, Julia, something is definitely wrong," I replied, my mind sparking with the thought of a welcome distraction. I looked up at her, a petite girl who, surprisingly, has lived among monsters yet retained her innocence. She was beautiful, no doubt about that. "Um… okay. I'll be outside if you need me, Alpha," she stamme
CARA'S POV It’s been two days since my mate ran away. The image of his eyes filled with denial and regret still haunts my dreams, replaying over and over in my mind like a cruel loop. He stood there, frozen, his spoils from the hunt dangling in his hands as if they were the only things grounding him. Then, as if things couldn’t get any worse, he fled, rejecting our mate bond. Every time I remember the disgust in his eyes, my heart shatters all over again. The pain is relentless, like a knife being twisted deeper and deeper with each heartbeat. I heard footsteps approaching before I saw her. “My lady, it’s Debby,” came the soft voice. “Go away. I don’t want to see anyone,” I sobbed, curling further into myself. “My lady, I brought food. You haven’t eaten in two days.” She set down the tray, and the aroma of the meal wafted through the room, teasing my senses. “It’s fine, my lady. Master was just paranoid and shocked. I’m sure he’ll come around,” she said in a tone meant to c
CARA’S POVThe minutes stretched on after Debby left, leaving me alone in the cottage. My heart raced with anticipation, a mixture of fear and excitement swirling in my chest. I’d been cooped up for so long, suffocating in this small Cottage with nothing but my thoughts, bad and troubling thoughts that I didn’t want to remember. The idea of stepping outside, of seeing something beyond these dull and plain walls, was a blessing I would embrace with joy. Finally, I heard the soft crunch of footsteps on the forest floor. Debby emerged from the dense woods, her arms filled with clothes and a few bags that resembled a hunter’s box. I peered at her with a confused look, but her face was a mix of determination and calm, which somehow reassured me.“My lady,” she began as she entered the cottage, “I’ve brought what you’ll need for your disguise. We’ll have to be quick and careful. It’s important that no one recognizes you.”I nodded, eager to begin. The sheer idea of going against the so- ca

Cara’s povOne week later. The war was over. Derek and his cohorts have been defeated. And following his death His remaining warriors had fled seeing that their commander was gone.I was told that we chased them through the great woods, making sure that we weakened their forces, even as they fled deep inside the great woods. That was as good as dead, and because of that, we had stopped pursuing them. We were back to the east. Our home is currently in Brian's former pack. Everywhere was a beehive of activities as the pack was being rebuilt. From my position, I could see Garreth. His loyalty and dedication to his duty are worthy of commendation. He is directing some pack members on what to do.Also, there is Emily and Emma, with their mates. They have survived the war. They are in control of their people and together helping to rebuild the mafian wolf pack.“Enjoying the view” I turned, at the sound of the voice. It was Alpha alexander. His body was covered in earth from all the work.
Brian's povThe silence in the hall was deafening, broken only by the faint, uneven rhythm of Cara's shallow breathing. My hands were stained with her blood, and Derek's blood, who lay at the end of the hall, dead.Cara was dying and dying fast. Her heart was barely beating, slowly going to a stand still. Her body was so still, too still. My heart pounded violently in my chest. It felt like my heart was giving up. This is all my fault. Derek taunting words haunted me like a persistent shadow. I had shown compassion. This is my fault. If I hadn’t hesitated, if I hadn’t let my feelings cloud my instincts, none of this would have happened. Cara would have been alive and well. We would have won the battle and gone back to east ellorin filled with happiness, but my moment of weakness had caused her to be on the brink of death.I cradled her closer, her head resting on my chest. “Cara…” Her name escaped my lips as a broken whisper. “Please… please don’t leave me.”My wolf howled in anguish,
Cara povThe moment I jumped into the battlefield to help my people who were struggling, a loud sound rang throughout the battlefield. I stopped dead in my tracks, looking at the new arrivals from the west. And what I saw left me speechless. They were not more than twenty, but I could feel the faint connection through my fire.“Cupbearers…, no the forbidden,” like Debby had called them. They were cupbearers that had changed faction. Julia had told me that the discovery of the cupbearers that were sent on a mission, whereas a result of the betrayal of this group of cupbearers. They were given the ne the forsaken because they had forsaken their belief and helped to kill their own people.Everything now made sense. The mysterious would on Brian when he came back from the council. It was inflicted by the cup bearers and to think they have been working for Derek. The moral of the west troops rose as they saw their backup. They started pushing us back with great vigor, as casualties began
Cara’s POVSound of blaring war whistles and horns started blasting immediately, and we reached 10m of the gigantic pack. I divided my troops into two based on the agreed tactic we will use. Garreth, with the other commanders, led half of the tropes into the middle of the pack. Although it was risky and far more dangerous. Garreth had agreed without hesitation, and now they were in position patiently waiting for my signal despite the chaos going on in the pack. The other half of my troops led by alpha Alexander were back at the camp, in case of retreat. We exercised caution, knowing that the West was a foreign land to us. I was at my position. An undercover entrance to a mountain. The mountain wolves had disclosed a secret pathway I to the pack. That is where I will follow. I was following our mating bond that was still pulsing weakly.“On your command,” she said, hiding beneath shrubs. She had insisted that she would follow me.I nodded, “we attack” , The sound of the whistle rang
Cara’s POVThe weight of leadership was heavy, far heavier than I could have ever imagined. I stood at the edge of my tent, watching as our faction, which has now become the strongest fighting force of Eastern Ellorin, prepared for the long march ahead. After my bold declaration, some factions had come to join me on my quest to wage war against the western district. Currently, my faction is made up of the mafian wolf pack , which is the first group of people, then the pack of alpha Alexander ruled by the two sisters. The third is the mountain wolves that alpha Alexander came with. They are a group of wolves that secluded themselves from the activities of ellorin. Choosing to live in the mountains. But on hearing the legend of the pureblood, they had come out of their hiding shell. Plus, three others have come to join us. Making it a total of six different factions out of the twelve factions in the eastern district.Fires burned low, and the air was thick with tension. The once-vast E
Cara povThe voice of Emma pierced through the battlefield.“Brother”Wolves of different sizes jumped out of the nearby hills and mountains. They were viciously wolves, and of course, their peculiar scent of rogues permeated the air. But that was not the most stinking and distinguished thing that gave me a momentary pause. The main thing was the fine young man leading the wolf's.“Alpha Garreth!”His name left my mouth before I could stop it. Even the spiky haired warrior had to stop. Because of the sudden intrusion. He was still the same. His curly hair stood out, making him presentable. He wore a thick animal skin as an armor that did nothing to hide his bulging muscles.“How dare you bully my sisters” he scowled at Alpha Black and his cohorts before lunging at them in an intense battle of the strongest. The tempo of the war changed as I spotted a frown on the spiky warrior's face.“Plan not going as planned?” I taunted, now that the pressure had been moved away immensely, especial
Cara povAlpha Black was a strong alpha. Even though he likes to bite and run, it doesn't mean that he is weak. He chooses to hide his power and feign weakness so as to make you underestimate him, but it wasn’t for me. I have lived with him, and I know him and every trick he has up his sleeve. That was why I poured my strength in our first clash. meeting his charge head-on. Our blades clashed, the force of the impact sending a shockwave through the air.My sword vibrated from the impact. The force pushed me two steps back, but he only took a step back. To show you the disparity of strength.“foolish girl, you think you can stand against the Master’s will?” he snarled, his strength pressing against mine. As he charged for the second time.I had even underestimated him again. His strength was way above mine, without my bloodline being active. His words made me reconsider this Master from the western district. If alpha Black van willingly serves him as hid slave, that goes a long way to t
Cara’s POVThe Bluecreek Pack loomed ahead of us. The fortress ahead of me was nothing like the pack I grew up in. Its borders are marked by tall trees and a faint trail of smoke rising from within. From what I have heard, they were a combination of the Alliance. The merging of different neighboring packs and their Alpha into what they called the Alliance. It was them that led the attack on the mafian wolf pack. We had come for our revenge.I stood on a small hill overlooking the whole pack. the weight of the moment pressing against my chest. Behind me, a sea of rogue warriors stretched far, and they faced a mixture of determination and uncertainty. These were my people now, the Mafian Wolf Pack. The ones that remain to be exact. They had reluctantly accepted me as their Luna, and I knew some of them still doubted me.But I would prove them wrong.Garreth stood at my side, his presence a steadying force. He had become more than just an ally, and more than a friend, he was my anchor in
