Elena’s POV

The infirmary was eerily quiet as the chaos outside settled. The muffled cries of the injured and the hurried whispers of healers were all that remained of the earlier battle. I sat beside Lucas’s bed, my mind still racing with everything that had happened. He was pale but stable, his breathing shallow as he rested.

The image of his bloodied body being carried in by Oliver haunted me. The battle had been brutal, and while I knew this wasn’t the first time Lucas had fought to protect the pack, seeing him like this tore at my heart. His earlier confession echoed in my mind, and I couldn’t shake the weight of his words.

“Elena?” Oliver’s voice broke through my thoughts.

I looked up to find him standing in the doorway, his shirt torn and stained with blood—not all of it his own. His face was grim, exhaustion evident in his every movement.

“How is he?” he asked, stepping closer.

“The healers say he’ll be okay,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “But it’ll take time.”

Elena’s POVThe soft glow of candlelight filled Oliver’s private chambers as I entered, my steps hesitant yet drawn toward the warmth he radiated. After the chaos of the past few days, this space felt like an oasis, separated from the weight of duty and danger.Oliver stood by the window, his tall frame illuminated by the pale moonlight. His back was to me, but I could feel his tension even from across the room. He was always strong for everyone else, carrying the burdens of the pack on his shoulders, but tonight, I could sense that weight pressing down on him.“Oliver,” I called softly, my voice breaking the silence. He turned to face me, his eyes tired but softening as they met mine. “Elena,” he said, his tone filled with relief. He crossed the room in long strides, reaching for me as though he needed to confirm I was really there. His hands cupped my face, his thumbs brushing lightly against my cheeks. “Are you okay?” he asked, his gaze searching mine.I nodded, placing my hands ov

Elena’s POVThe peaceful warmth of the night lingered even as the first light of dawn began to peek through the heavy curtains. Oliver lay beside me, his features softened in sleep. He looked so different like this—vulnerable, unburdened. My fingers itched to trace the lines of his jaw, but I stopped myself, not wanting to disturb the rare moment of calm. The responsibilities of the pack would soon weigh on us again, but for now, I allowed myself the indulgence of watching him. My heart ached with a quiet joy, a feeling I hadn’t dared to dream of before. But as much as I wanted to stay in this cocoon of safety, the world outside wouldn’t wait. I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him, and wrapped myself in a soft robe. The fire had burned down to embers, the room still faintly warm.Padding quietly to the window, I pulled back the curtain just enough to peer outside. The horizon was streaked with soft pink and gold, the forest bathed in an ethereal glow. It was beautiful, but the

Elena’s POVThe silence after Daniel’s departure was deafening. I paced the room, each step echoing against the wooden floor as Beauty’s wide, tear-filled eyes followed my movements. My bond with Oliver throbbed faintly—still there, but the pain I’d felt moments ago had left an ominous shadow. I clenched my hands into fists, forcing myself to remain calm.“Elena, please sit,” Beauty begged, her voice trembling. “You’re making me more nervous.”I paused, taking a deep breath to steady my racing thoughts. Sitting wasn’t an option. The growing unease in my chest demanded action, but I was trapped, bound by Oliver’s order to stay here.“You don’t understand, Beauty,” I murmured, my gaze fixed on the window. The forest stood still, deceptively peaceful. “When you’re bonded, you feel everything. Pain, fear, even—” I stopped, swallowing hard. “Even death.”Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a gasp. “Don’t say that! He’s strong, Elena. He’ll come back.”I nodded, forcing a tight smile, but

Elena’s POVThe aftermath of battle was always heavy with emotion, a strange mix of relief and despair. As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield in an eerie twilight, the stench of blood lingered in the air, mingling with the quiet groans of the injured.Oliver’s arm was still wrapped tightly around me as we walked back to the packhouse. His warmth and strength anchored me, even as the adrenaline of the fight began to fade.“Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice low and rough from exhaustion. His sharp eyes scanned me, lingering on the shallow claw marks on my arm.“It’s nothing,” I replied, brushing it off. “You’re the one who looks like he went ten rounds with a rogue Alpha.”He chuckled softly, though the sound was strained. “I’ve had worse. Still, I can’t believe you disobeyed me, Elena.”I opened my mouth to retort, but he stopped abruptly, pulling me close so we were face to face. His expression was serious, his hazel eyes searching mine.“You

Third povThe morning after the battle arrived slowly, dragging its weight through the packhouse like an unwelcome guest. The faint golden light seeping through the curtains did little to lift the heaviness that lingered in the air. Even the forest seemed muted, as though it too, was recovering from the violence it had witnessed.Elena stood by the bedroom window, her fingers tracing idle patterns on the frosted glass. She had barely slept, her mind replaying the events of the previous night in an endless loop. The rogue Alpha’s lifeless eyes, the blood-soaked ground, the traitor’s betrayal—all of it churned within her, refusing to be silenced.Behind her, Oliver stirred, the rustling of sheets breaking the quiet. She turned to find him sitting up, his hazel eyes dark with fatigue.“You didn’t sleep,” he said, his voice hoarse.“Neither did you,” she replied softly. He sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. “It’s hard to rest when you know there’s a snake in the grass.”She no

Third povElena’s instincts bristled as Chloe’s parting words lingered in her mind, sharp and unsettling. The air in the packhouse felt heavier, as though suspicion itself had seeped into its walls. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Chloe was hiding something, but the question was what—and why.The library door creaked shut behind Chloe, and Elena exhaled slowly. The confrontation had been subtle, a game of unspoken words and veiled intentions, but it had confirmed one thing: Chloe was no innocent observer in the pack’s recent turmoil.Elena gathered her thoughts and returned to her quarters, where Oliver was waiting, his brows knit in concentration over a map of the pack’s territory.“You’re late,” he remarked without looking up, his voice laced with concern.“I ran into Chloe,” she replied, crossing the room to stand beside him.His head snapped up, hazel eyes narrowing. “What did she say?”“She was… cryptic,” Elena admitted. “She mentioned the pack’s future, but it felt more like

Elena’s povI stood by the balcony as my mind went on wondering what was going on in the pack. I have not yet been bonded to Oliver but it was crazy. Sure, the people see me as their Luna and even call me Luna but it was yet an official title. Chloe and Hailey were making sure about that!I was beyond frustrated—-from the war to the impending danger of the pack, to the traitor or mole hidden within the ranks. I had tried to snoop around but things didn't go exactly as planned. Luckily—-the only good thing to come out of this was that Lucas was healed, not fully, but he was making a very quick recovery.I felt a hand placed on my shoulders and I quickly knew who it was—-as only his touch could make my heart skip a million beats.“Hey….what are you doing here?” Oliver asked, I turned to him and hugged him tight. “I'm sorry….” I apologizedI could feel the confusion he felt through the bond, he pulled me back, staring into my eyes “What are you apologizing for?”I threw my face away,

Elena’s POVThe next morning, I woke to a soft warmth on my cheek. My eyes fluttered open, and I found Oliver sitting beside me, his hand gently caressing my face. His touch was tender, as if he feared I might vanish.“Morning, my Luna,” he said softly, his voice a soothing melody to my troubled mind.I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes. The weight of yesterday’s emotions still lingered, but his presence calmed the storm within me. “Morning,” I replied, my voice laced with sleep.Oliver handed me a cup of tea, his usual routine when he stayed the night. It was one of the little things he did that made me feel like I belonged in his world, even though I still doubted it at times.“I have a meeting with the council today,” he informed me as I sipped the warm brew. “They’re pressing for answers about the traitor and the attacks. I need you to be cautious, Elena. If the mole gets desperate, they might act rashly.”I nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. “I’ll be careful. But Oliver

Third person povEdgar carefully tilted Elena's head back. His movements were precise, honed by years of experience. He gently pried her mouth open, the action delicate despite the urgency that permeated the room. A shimmering, transparent liquid flowed from the cup into her unresisting throat. The resurrection potion, a concoction of rare herbs and forgotten magic, was their last hope.He straightened, a weariness etched on his face. He turned to Oliver and Lucas, their faces pale with grief and worry. "I have done all I can," he said, his voice raspy. "The potion is powerful, but it is Elena who must fight now. She must choose to return." He offered a small, sad smile. "I will leave you with her."The healer shuffled out of the room, leaving Oliver and Lucas to their wait. The weight of the moment settled heavily upon them. The perspective shifted, the darkness giving way to a strange, ethereal light.Elena found herself standing in a vast, open space. To her left stood a group of e

Oliver’s povThe scent of blood and herbs hung heavy in the air, a stark reminder of my unconscious mate beside me. My stomach churned. Elena lay still on our bed, her usually vibrant face pale and marred with cuts. Another healer, a young woman from our pack, dabbed at a gash on Elena’s arm. But it was no use. Elena was still unresponsive. Unconscious. My heart hammered against my ribs.I had been sitting vigil by her side for what felt like an eternity, whispering reassurances I tried to believe in myself. Every so often, I reached out to brush a strand of dark hair from her face, my fingers trembling. The door creaked open, and I shot up, my muscles tensing. Lucas stood there, his face etched with exhaustion but his eyes holding a flicker of hope.“Lucas! Did you find anything?” I demanded, my voice hoarse. He nodded, stepping inside. “I think… I think I found something. In the old woman’s cabin. It was still… vacant.”“What? What did you find?” The healer glanced up, her brow fu

Lucas’s povI gripped the worn leather of the book tighter as I hurried across the training grounds. The Full Moon pack house loomed in the distance, a welcome sight after my run through the dense woods. My heart pounded, a mixture of hope and anxiety churning in my gut. This book, this fragile collection of ancient knowledge I’d found in the old woman’s cabin, could be the key to everything.I passed the bustling pack house and headed straight for the medical center, a small building on the edge of the village. The air inside smelled of herbs and antiseptic, a stark contrast to the earthy scent of the forest. I found Edgar, our oldest and most respected healer, hunched over a mortar and pestle, grinding something that smells vaguely of lavender.“Edgar,” I said, my voice rough from disuse. He looked up, his wrinkled face crinkling into a smile. “Lucas. You need treatment. I should get my assistant.”“It’s not important. I need you to look at something.” I said instead.“And what’s th

Jax’s povThe air in Chloe’s room hung thick with the scent of herbs and worry. I sat on the edge of her bed, my wolf restless beneath my skin. The healer, an older woman with knowing eyes, was just finishing wrapping the last of the bandages around Chloe’s arm. Crimson had seeped through the linen earlier, a testament to how hurt Chloe had been and he couldn’t even protect her“She’ll be alright, you know,” the healer said, her voice low and soothing. “She’s a strong girl. Always has been. She'll wake up soon.” She gathered her things, giving me a knowing look. “Best not to overwhelm her when she does.”Then she was gone, and it was just me and Chloe.I leaned closer, my hand hovering over her scarred skin. Even asleep, the tension lines were etched into her face. My heart clenched. These scars were my fault, in a way. Not directly inflicted by me, but I could’ve insisted on fighting alongside her. I could’ve insisted on staying with her.My loyalty lay with her. Not even my pack but

Lucas’s povThe scent of pine needles and damp earth filled my lungs as I stumbled back towards the cabin. Desperation gnawed at me, a constant, throbbing ache. Elena lay unconscious, her pulse almost fading. She was barely breathing and the fear of losing her wrecked me. Her condition was a testament to the brutal battle with Reed. She had won, she had finally defeated him, but the victory felt empty in the face of her stillness. It ate me up that I swore to protect her with my life yet she did it for us without thinking twice. Risked her life without considering hers. The old woman. She was my only hope. She knew things, secrets tucked away in her mind like she is the only one who had all the answers in the world. At this rate, she did. She had helped her before, guided Elena when she was lost and confused about the visions she was getting. Now, I needed her guidance more than ever. The cabin stood silent and empty, exactly as I had left it previously. Dust danced in the faint sunli

Third person povBeauty paced back and forth, her worry etched on her face. Daniel stood beside her, his own anxiety was thick in the air. They waited outside Chloe’s room, the heavy wooden door a barrier between them and the unknown. The healer, a woman known for being quick with detecting injuries and healing them, had been inside for what felt like an eternity. It was long enough for them to be worried."Who is Jax?" Daniel asked, his voice low. He'd seen the way Jax looked at Chloe, the way Jax was extremely protective of her. Like she was a part of him. There was an intimacy there that bothered him, a closeness he couldn't quite place.Beauty stopped pacing, a shiver running down her spine. "I... I have a bad feeling about him, Daniel. A really bad feeling."Daniel frowned. "What do you mean?""He reminds me of... of the man who threatened me, who forced me to betray Elena and kidnapped Sam." The words were barely a whisper, laced with fear and a familiar self-reproach. "I can’t

Third person pov Reed’s eyes burned with a mixture of fear and resentment. The hate that burned his heart brought him to the realization that this was a lost battle.. His limbs were mangled and he was in so much pain than he could ever realize. He knew Elena had power now, a power strong enough to end him. Her eyes glowed with an unnatural light, and he could practically feel magic radiating from her. He had to act, and act fast. He couldn't let her destroy everything he had built. He couldn’t afford to lose it all.His mind raced, settling on a desperate plan. He began chanting, his voice a low, guttural growl. The words were ancient, dark, and flowed from him like venom. It was a death spell, a last resort he had hoped never to use. But it wasn’t aimed at Elena. Not directly.Oliver and Lucas, still recovering from the earlier fight, stood nearby, their bodies bruised and battered. They were unaware of the danger about to descend upon them. Reed, in his twisted logic, decided that

Jax's POV"Now," Oliver snapped, cutting me off. "I don't care if you're a member of the Blue Moon pack or not, Jax. My sister needs help. Get her to the pack house immediately and this time, try not to return with her even if she insists."He didn’t need to tell me again what to do. His command showed that he truly cared about his sister even after everything. The metallic tang of blood filled my nostrils. Not just any blood, but Chloe's. A low growl rumbled in my chest, a primal protectiveness surging through me. Carefully, gently, I scooped her up and steadied her on my arms. Her body was limp, but her arms instinctively wrapped around my neck, her head finding a resting place against my chest. Each shallow breath she took sent a jolt of fear through me. I hope she was fine.Chloe. Beautiful, fierce Chloe. Even now, covered in grime and blood, she was breathtaking. I risked a glance, admiring the curve of her jaw, the way her blonde hair fell across her face. She acted like she di

Oliver’s povMy ribs screamed with every breath. Lucas wasn’t in much better shape, favoring his left arm and sporting a rapidly swelling eye. Chloe looked like she was in a worse state because she fought in her full wolf form and she hadn’t been in a battle ground in a while. We all watched, battered and bruised, as Elena turned Reed into a human punching bag. It was insane. Just hours ago, Reed was the one with all the power, tossing spells around like they were candy. Beating up all of us like it was nothing. Now? Elena was practically glowing, a whirlwind of raw magic that Reed couldn't even touch. Then I saw him. Jax.He was standing at the edge of the clearing, his face a mask of worry. He was supposed to take Elena back to the pack safely and not bring her back to the very place I asked her not to be in. Now, he was here."Jax!" I croaked, my voice rough and thick. He turned, his eyes landing on me. “What the hell is going on? What happened to Elena? Where did she get all tha
