While we sat observing the sun descending over the valley, I experienced a revived feeling of determination. These four brothers, each unique but connected by blood and common past, required restoration. And in some way, whether good or bad, I had become involved in their narrative.

The question was, could I assist them in healing without sacrificing my own well-being in the process?

As time went on, I discovered that I was spending increasing amounts of time with Chad. His silent resilience and constant devotion to his family had a captivating effect on me. We practiced together, examined pack histories closely, and had lengthy conversations about all sorts of topics.

I attempted to convince myself that it was simply a bond of friendship, merely a consequence of getting more familiar with him. However, I couldn't overlook the quickening of my heart when he smiled at me, or the sensation of electricity that seemed to pass between us during our sparring sessions.
