Selene's eyes widened. Did Apollo just ask her to leave? She was going nowhere. She was going to explain things to him and tell him how much she loved Dominic and is willing to be with him. She knew Apollo won't support her since he had loved her for ages, but she doesn't love him, and it was time he accepted that fact.

“I am not leaving this place, Apollo!” Selene snapped, her voice laced with determination. “I know you're mad at me for having something to do with Dominic, but I can't help it. He is my mate after all.”

“He is not your mate, Selene. How many times do we have to tell you that? The reason you think this way is because your powers are still trapped inside him. Take those powers back, and you will realize that he is not your mate. You're just being delusional.” he had no idea why Selene had refused to understand.

Selene shook her head. She was sure of what she was saying. “You're wrong, Apollo. Dominic is truly my mate and I love him. I love him so much, and I can
