“This is not what we agreed, father. You said as soon as the Alpha showed up, we would get her from him so what's the reason we're still here doing nothing while our mate struggles to survive?” I demanded.

He didn't even act like I was talking to him. He continued with his laptop like he was alone in the room.

“Father, I am talking to you!” I growled. “And the engagement you promised would be called off. Why haven't you done anything about it yet?”
