Against all of my prayers, the cloud soon began to pour heavily, drenching my whole body. I should go back to the pack's territory or at least take shelter somewhere till the rain subsides but I couldn't bring myself to because I was honestly worried, I might not be treated like one but Chloe is like a younger sister to me, she always had my pity as her parents made her live a confined life inside the pack's territory without a valid reason, and now she's out here all alone, it's really dangerous out here, what if she gets hurt or people bully her or does something nasty to her?
My thoughts occupied my whole senses as I walked making me unaware of the stone in front of me and I tripped, almost falling Two strong hands suddenly gripped my arm preventing me from falling to the ground. But this all seems very familiar, too familiar, my head went back to the heart-stopping moment I had with the Lycan twins in the school’s store room. I slowly raised my head, expecting to see my two familiar saviors but I couldn’t have been more wrong as my eyes met with two stone-faced men, one was tall and muscular and the other was short and not so built, they were both grinning from ear to ear as they stared at me "Careful lady, someone as pretty as you are shouldn't be allowed to fall to the ground," the short man said "Pretty? Oh spare me please, she ain't pretty but I don't mind enjoying her body either way" the tall man uttered, smacking his lips "I'm... I'm sorry and thank you for saving me from falling, I'll take my leave now" I said as I made to leave but they both held on to my arm, still gripping me tightly "We didn't say you could leave," the tall man said "What is a weak wolf like you doing outside your territory on a rainy night? You are one of those wolves that always sneaks out of their homes in the night right?" the short man queried "What? No, I promise you I didn't sneak out or anything, I just really need to find someone and I'll return to my pack" I explained hoping they would let me go "Oh it's obvious that you are a stray wolf," The tall guy said, still staring at me with his greedy eyes "What pack are you from?" The short man queried "The.... the Nightwalker pack" I replied and they busted into a howling laughter "She's from the lowest pack around here" the short guy grinned "This means we can have our fill of her without a problem" the tall guy smirked, cupping my face with his hand "No, no let me go" I cried as I struggled to break free, but my tears and cry for help were both drowned by the heavy rain "Oh tonight is going to be good, let's get under some shade and get this done with," the short guy said as they both began to drag me down a dark alley "No, no please, I'm only but a servant, I am lowly and unattractive, please let me go please" I pleaded, my voice quavering with fear. These are some of the times I detest my wolf, it should help me break free of these guys now but whenever I'm in any sort of danger, it's practically asleep, my wolf is useless. I have to find a way to save myself from these wicked wolves who bent on destroying me.They both were hit by something hard. They both turned to where that came from.
The two men let out a groan as stone suddenly hit their heads from nowhere. They stopped walking and their eyes darted around"Who the hell was that?!""Who dared to throw stones at us? Show yourself!" They bellowed and two figures stepped out of the dark alley"We should have thrown our knives instead brother""Then we'll have committed an unnecessary kill and Father won't take that lightly"That voice sounded all too familiar, the deep scent of musk and sweet fragrance that wafted its way past the rain to my nose waking up my sleeping wolf and making it growl the word "Mates" repeatedly hinted to me of whom the voices might belong to. Raising my head, my doubts were confirmed, it was them, the Lycan twins"Who are you two and what are you doing here shoving your nose into our business?" The tall guy questioned"Or do you have a death wish?" the short guy vaunted "Death wish?" Jayden laughed "Why don't you tell him, brother, we do not have a death wish but we are the angel of death
"His name is Dylan and he has proclaimed himself the leader of all the wolves that enter The Room we will never succumb to such rule so we've never tried to gain entry in there," Jayden said"Perhaps what use are prying eyes when you take and dominate a female? That moment is for you to enjoy alone" Jordan uttered"And let's just say we are doing all the wolves a favor by not going in there because whenever our paths cross with Dylan's, a fight always breaks out," Jayden said"And it's always bloody" Jordan added"But.... why? Why does such a man have Chloe with him? How am I going to save Chloe now?" I frettedJayden glanced at Jordan and he sighed"How lucky you are that our wolves won't allow us to abandon you," Jordan said"We'll go into The Room but you'll have to come along with us" Jayden uttered"Of course, of course, I'll come along," I said quickly and Jordan shook his head"You don't understand, do you? What my brother means is that you'll have to come along with us as a wo
"Why does everyone seem to be blind this night brother?" Jordan asked"Don't know brother, they are always acting oblivious of what's right in front of them" Jayden replied"I believe I just asked you two a question, what is going on here?!" Dylan yelled and Jordan sprang up"No brother, let me handle him," Jayden said, pulling Jordan backJayden walked closer to Dylan"What do you think is going on here?" Jayden shrugged"Why are you two here?" Dylan asked"Why else? To enjoy ourselves just like you were doing with that lady over there, but wait a minute, that lady doesn't seem too conscious, don't tell me you drugged her just to get into her" Jayden said"What I do is none of your business!" Dylan fumed"Same way you have no right to put your wolfish nose into our business too!" Jayden quipped"Oh I have the right to do that as this room belongs to me, you are in my territory!" Dylan proclaimed and then glanced at meI quickly composed myself as his stare seemed to burn through me"
***Blood Moon pack***Dylan returned home, his face filled with bruises that were only starting to healHe hoped his father had gone to bed and no one would come to know he had fought with the Lycan twins"Brother?" Lisa, his younger sister called stopping him in his tracksLisa walked closer to him"What happened to your face brother?" Lisa asked and Dylan immediately shushed her"It's nothing Lisa, aren't you supposed to be asleep?" Dylan asked"I was but I woke up thirsty so I came to get some water to drink," Lisa said and Dylan nodded"Fine, go back to sleep then" he cajoled hoping she would ask no more questions"You still haven't told me why there are bruises all over your face" Lisa reminded"I said it's nothing Lisa" Dylan said, he made to walk away but remembered the twins' words.......Tell him Jayden, how his sister wanted nothing more than for us to touch her with these filthy hands in school!"....."Do you know the Lycan twins?" Dylan turned back and asked his sister"Yo
LORRAINEMy heart raced as I stared at Jayden and Jordan. Lisa's face paled at the sight of them. A crowd was beginning to form in the hallway. The pounding of my heart sounded too loud in my ears and all I wanted to do was make a run for it and probably myself in the Janitor's closet. If you had my way. I probably would never want to come out again.“What did I tell you about putting yourself in a situation like this? Are you that useless at defending yourself” Jaden growled as he raised a skeptical eyebrow at me. The irritation in his eyes was impossible to miss and I couldn't think of anything reasonable to say at the moment. The words were stuck at the back of my throat. All I could was stare with tears in my eyes. Even I detested myself for crying. They were right. I was useless at defending myself. How was I going to explain to them that I was only used to being trampled on and letting people get away with it? I've been used to it all my life. All fighting back has ever gotten w
LORRAINEI can't remember the last time I had proper food. Jayden raised an eyebrow at me as he observed me.“Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?” He said and I was very conscious of the lump that was beginning to form at the base of my throat. So many emotions were pummelling through me that I didn't know which one to pinpoint. I was caught between crying and telling them how grateful I was. No words could come out. I stood silent, looking at the both of them. “We should sit down. Surely, you don't expect us to have lunch in the middle of the cafeteria” Jordan said dryly as he walked past me to a random table. Jayden followed me and after some minutes they turned to look at me expectantly. I stared agape at them for a moment. It took me a long minute to register that they wanted me to sit with them. I hesitantly lifted one leg in front of the other. The balance of my legs and knees felt wobbly and unsteady as I approached their table. Uncertainty clung to the walls of my st
LORRAINE I froze. My back ramrod straight at the sound of the teacher's voice. I knew that staying back at the cafeteria with the twins had been a bad idea. It was delusional of me to think that I could get away with coming late to class. My heart raced within the confines of my chest and all I could think about was how much I wanted to enter the ground. Anything to take my mind away from the way everyone was looking at me. When I was finally able to gather the courage, I raised my gaze to meet the stern expression of the teacher who stared at me. “What on earth were you thinking, coming to my class ten minutes late?” he raised an eyebrow at me. I swallowed anxiously, somehow the words and the explanation were stuck on the tip of my tongue. I closed my eyes and sighed, trying to drift my attention from the way my heart was heavily pounding. “She was with us” I heard Jordan growl from behind me and I raised my head to see the teacher's expression crumple into one of fear. “Do yo
LORRAINEI glanced at the space in the parking lot and released a long sigh. Why did I think that Josh was going to be sympathetic towards me and offer to give me a ride in the hot weather? Of course, I was more than aware that I was going to have to walk back to the manor in this hot weather. My clothes clung to my body like a second skin because of the sweat. All I was aware of was the detention that I was feeling within. I closed my eyes and huffed. I was beyond tired. Detention had been torturous. Why I had expected Jayden and Jordan to defend or try to get me out of it, I had no idea. My expectations baffled me sometimes it dawned on me that I wasn't even in the position to expect anything. I closed my eyes and sighed. It seemed almost excruciating to put one leg in front of the other as I walked towards the manor. Students zoomed past me in their cars, some took the liberty of shooting mocking words at me through the window as they drove past. I was too tired, too exhausted to
JAYDEN'S POV I didn't bother with waiting for them to snap into action, I was beyond confident that my demands would always be met so I turned on my heels and went in the opposite direction of the open doorway of the room. As expected, the footsteps of the two women escorted me down the stairs and all the way to our suite. When Jeremy came to me fuming that Jordan was beginning to act stupid I hadn't known how to react so I had done the only logical thing, go after my twin. "Jayden, I..." Gwen's annoying voice took over the space in my head as she tried to give me an excuse of some sort. "Can you do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut, Gwen? I would ask you to speak when I have absolutely no choice but to listen to your annoying voice." That shut her up pretty quickly. My face pulled up into a smile as silence stretched between us all the way to the suite. "What the fuck is she doing here, Jayden? I take it that you intend to punish her?" Jeremy still sounded terribl
GAZELLE'S POV I either didn't hear right or I heard completely wrong. Did Jordan just say he would have one of the Girlfriends bring dinner up to my room? My eyes moved up to meet his in obvious shock, and I noticed he wasn't even staring at me. He was too busy glaring at Sarah, who looked just about ready to have the earth swallow her up, to pay any attention other than the verbal acknowledgement that left me in shock. "What the hell, Jordan?! Are you fucking this pig? Is that why you care so much about her? I would've thought you had better taste than that, being Jayden's brother and all." Sarah's voice is high pitched and ringing with enough disbelief. Just as much as I felt up until het words registered in my skull. What? What was it with everyone and making disgusting assumptions today? Jordan's gaze finally landed on mine and his glare turned icier. I could totally see how he would be pissed off over the fact that people are now assuming he's having... eww with me.
JORDAN'S POV I was feeling a lot of different emotions, all of them in the negative. Gazelle's presence beside was doing a lot more than I expected it could to keep me calm and collected. The spoon in my hand lifted oh so slowly up into my mouth, carrying with it ice-cream that should be divine, but just tasted like sawdust. "What are you guys doing in here?" Jeremy's voice carried through the semi-open doorway. We both looked up at the sound of his voice, one of us frozen in her place. I glanced at her in a very brief way but she didn't even look back, her eyes were pinned on him as he strolled into the room. "Nothing that should concern you." My voice held a finality that would get anyone else to back off, but this was Jeremy I was speaking about. His face morphed into a huge smile. "Ah. You could've invited me to join in the fun." His eyes flickered between Gazelle and me, a knowing smile on his face. I almost gagged at the suggestion he was making. "Gross. Get your s
GAZELLE'S POV After what happened the previous night, I didn't think that I would want to attend another ball night. The plan was to remain in my bed and see Jenna later in the evening since she wasn't ready to see me this morning. But my little rest was caught short as I was sent a reminder of my punishment. I got off the bed dutifully and changed into a loose fitting outfit. I got my cleaning equipment and began my dirt. I cleaned up my dorm and thankfully, some cleaners had already cleaned the girlfriend's floor so I didn't have to deal with the obnoxious girls. The boys dorm was already cleaned so all I had to do was clean the surroundings and the boyfriend's suite. I took my time to clean because I didn't want them around when I was cleaning. By the time I was done with half of Wolverine, the ball had already begun and wolves were beginning to arrive. I spent one more hour cleaning before heading to the Boyfriends suite. There was no one at home which was a
GAZELLES’S POV When she was talking about two halls, I should have asked her how she knew they were two. The fact that I was in the hall with a crowd of anticipating people and a big projector was at the front. I could see an excited Jenna run into the hall only for it to be slammed immediately. On meeting the empty hall, I could see the confusion and panic on her face. The crowd already started chuckling but I was worried for her. She ran to the door, trying to get it open but it wasn’t working. My heart was drumming in my chest. What were they going to do to her? “Let me out!” She yelled and I decided I was done watching. I was going to go out there and help her but just as I stood, the next thing on the screen made me freeze. There were bees. Like actual bees. It was like they were released from their hive or something. I couldn’t bring myself to move. This was like the most evil thing I had ever seen. As expected, Jenna panicked and began banging heavily against
JEREMY She looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here, and confusion was drawn on her face like a tattoo. "This is a prank." She stated with a shake of her head. "Please, I promise to stay out of everything that relates with the Terrors or the Girlfriends." I almost laughed out loud at the panic in her voice, but I refrained and kept a straight face instead. "I would've thought you had more balls than that, but I guess I was wrong." There was no way I was going to try to make an ally out of someone who was walking, breathing cowardice. If she didn't want any bit of revenge then so be it. "Wait!" She called out to stop me as I walked away from her. I turned back to face her, my eyebrows arched in silent question. "What do you want?" "I already told you what I want, Gwen. You're either brave enough to be a part of it or you're not." My gaze trailed over her from head to toe. "And something tells me you're on the side of not." "How do I know that you're not mislead
JEREMY'S POV I was flipping pissed, my mood was raw on the voltages of anger I had been tapped high on. I was going to fucking kill Jordan. "You couldn't have fucking taken my side? You were okay with watching your psycho brother kill me?" I swore at Jayden. "Maybe if you stopped riling him up, you wouldn't even need saving in the first place." He threw back at me angrily. "I didn't freaking need saving. I just didn't want to take the killing blow." I defended myself. For whatever bullshit reason I really hadn't wanted to kill Jordan. I was hoping that he would come to his senses eventually and all of that would be over, but I guess I was wrong. That bastard is more animal than he is human. "What the hell even happened? I was out for all of ten minutes and next thing you're at each other's throats?" He pushed his hand through his hair in frustration and then turned to face me a second time. "What did you say to him?" "Of course it was me who started it. No way your pre
JEREMY'S POV I couldn't possibly be imagining this. This place was deserted to a very large extent. Something was most definitely up. Every single person that had walked past us or even peeked through their windows at us since we strolled by casually had been either female or child. It was Jayden that finally responded to my comment. "No, it's not just your mind. This is actually a space dominated by anything other than the male wolves." Jordan made a show of sniffing the air. "There's no single scent of a male wolf within a 50 mile radius of this place." "What do you think could be going on?" I asked. This was seriously crazy. There was no way in hell that all of the men in the pack had just decided to step out on the same day. Especially not after the number of traps we'd had to get past on our way here. "I think there was more than one trap left waiting for us." Jayden didn't sound too pleased by that possibility. Not that I could blame him, I wasn't pleased by it ei
JORDAN'S POV "It's quite easy to make demands like that when you're sitting safe behind an office desk, isn't it?" I spat out before I could stop myself. Something about the woman made me want to vomit. She irritated the fuck out of me and I was always fighting the urge to simply wring her throat with my bare hands. "Excuse you?" Her eyes were oozing fire as she trained them on me. "There's just three of us. And yet we're constantly being pitted against a full army of wolves by ourselves." "You're Alphas." She deadpanned like that could justify everything in the world. "Doesn't make us infallible." I bit back. "Maybe if the board could be a little bit more considerate about the kinds of missions we were sent on, we wouldn't have a revenge on our hands now." My tone was becoming a lot more disrespectful with each word that came out of my mouth and I noticed my brother stiffen beside me. One of his palms dropped on my thighs, calming me down without words. As expected,
