The sound of running water reached my ears the moment I walked into my room. I walked towards the bathroom and knocked on the door. I waited for a response but didn't get one.

"Andrea? Are you in there?" I said, still knocking on the door. At this point, I was reminded of what had happened on the night of the ceremony.

Slowly, I twisted the door knob and opened the door.

I paused at the entrance of the bathroom, my brows furrowed at the sight of Andrea.

She was sitting on the bathroom floor, her shoulders slumped. Water overflowed in the sink and poured down the bathroom floor. Andrea didn't move an inch.

Worried, I stepped into the bathroom.

"Andrea?" I said. She didn't look up. I squatted in front of her and took hold of her upper arms. Slowly, she lifted her head to meet my gaze. Her eyes were bloodshot and mournful. The sight of them made my heart sink.
