***Tyler's POV***I stormed into my brother's room in anger. “Tell me, what is the meaning of what you just did?”Tristan raised a brow from his office chair where he was seated, staring at the computer?”“What are you talking about?”“Freya. Why did you send her to the dark prison? You know it will be difficult for her to survive there. How could you be so heartless, brother!”“Heartless? Maybe you should have yourself checked! How dare you barge into my room to question me about the daughter of the man who killed our father? How many times do I need to remind you about this?”“This is what you've been saying ever since our parents died. Alpha Roderick had already paid for our father's death with his death. He died with his Luna, for goddess’ sake! Isn't that enough punishment for you?”“No it's not! I didn't kill them? They died on their own. The only way my anger would have been appeased was if the Alpha had died in my hands. As long as he didn't die by my hands then, his daughter
**Freya's POV***After being locked in the cold and dark prison for a few hours, all I could think about was my past and how my parents died. I kept recalling how sad I was, how I cried bitterly and how badly they treated me. Mere thinking about the past brought hit tests to my eyes. I sat on the cold floor and curled myself like a child. I was in a terrible state and all I thought was that I was never going to see the light of day again. Maybe this is how my end would gradually come. An hour later, I suddenly heard my name in the dark. This furthermore increased my fears. I buried my head in my arm and cried silently. “Freya, can you hear me?”The call of my name only got me more scared. Who could that be, calling me in this dark cell? Has Hades finally come for me, perhaps? I trembled and my lips quivered in fright. I wish I felt this way because I was cold, but that wasn't the case. The reason I'm feeling this way was because I was scared to death. I might have been a courageous
"**Alpha Tristan's POV***The next day, I was in my office, waiting for news from my gamma, Wayne. I needed to know how her first night in the dungeon was like. I'm sure she must be scared to death by now. I let out a scoff. She should have been less stubborn while she was with me. Serves her right. I heard a knock on my door and soon after, it flew open. Wayne walked into the room quickly with a not so pleased expression. “Tell me, how is she?”“According to the guards. She stopped crying yesterday. When they went in to check on her. She doesn't seem to be worried or crying. It seemed as though she had accepted her fate.”“What? How can she accept fate just like that? Not even the strongest of my men could survive the dark prison with no food and water. It's impossible that she'll be calm just like that. Sure they checked her properly?”“I believe they did. On the other hand, you have a visitor, Alpha.”I raised a brow at what Wayne said. “A visitor in my pack?” I repeated questi
***Freya POV***This was the second day in the cold, dark dungeons. Though I was still very much uncomfortable, it was better, now that I could use a phone. I didn't just use the phone for its light. I could very much play games with the phone and watch some movies as well. With all of these features on the phone, I didn't feel that much despair. Although, the guards do a routine check every morning and night. Whenever I hear their footsteps coming towards my direction, I quickly turn off the lights and hide the phone. I only start operating the phone when I'm sure they have all gone. According to Tyler, he had bribed the guards, so he could come in and out of the dark dungeon without them reporting him to the Alpha. Since Tyler can't take the phone from me since it aids my vision, he brings me a fully charged power bank and also snuggles in some snacks for me. If I had to stay in the dark dungeons all my life while having full access to all these things, I'm not sure if I'd be
***Freya's POV***I soaked myself in a warm bath after being released from the dark dungeons. I stink, and if there's anything as to why I'm not too disappointed about my release was the fact that I could take a good bath. I threw my head backwards as I soaked myself. I had earlier washed my hair, so the water from my hair dripped down my shoulders while I soaked myself in the bathtub with scented liquid lemon soap. After soaking for almost an hour, I decided to scrub myself clean and finally used clean water to rinse myself. While doing this, a smile spread across my lips. Now I can say that I do feel fresh. I got out of the bathtub and towel dried my body, after which I put on a bathrobe with my hair wrapped with a towel, so it could dry properly. Just as I walked into the room to apply some cream on my body, I suddenly heard a knock on the door. But way before I could get the door, it flew open at once and to my greatest surprise, it was Samona who came into view. “Samona, so
**Freya's POV***I was shocked when Samona suddenly pulled her hands away from my hair and rushed over to Tristan's side. “I had no idea my cousin hates me this much. All I did was explain to her why I'm here, and she hit me hard on the stomach.”I stared at Samona as a silent gasp escaped my lips. I can't believe what just happened.”“What? She dared to hit you on the stomach?”“Yes,” Samona replied with tears visible in her eyes. I was stunned at the show Samona was performing so that my eyes and mouth fell open wide. Tristan suddenly began walking towards me. What is this? Did he really believe her? I slowly moved backwards as he approached me.“How dare you lay a finger on my guest!?!”He thundered with an expression that shows he actually meant what he just said. “G… guest?” I repeated as I slowly took my gaze towards Samona whose lips were curled in a smirk. She did this deliberately. And why would she do that? If I'm not mistaken, she's already started with what she said abo
***Freya's POV***# Two days laterI've been in the laundry room trying to iron every cloth I've washed. While I was working, I couldn't help but feel dizzy. I placed my hand on the washing machine, while trying to steady my gaze. Yesterday, I was only able to eat leftovers by the maids and that was all director Samona's instructions. I would have rather not eaten anything. But doing that will put me in a worse situation. All the maids disrespect me and exalt Samona just as she wanted. No one cares if I was their Alpha's Luna, and this is certainly because they believe the Alpha has no feelings for me. I just hate the mate bond. If not for the mate bond, I'm sure things would have been different by now. The sudden screeching of the door snapped me off my deep thoughts, so I quickly raised my head up and turned around to the door. To my surprise, it was a maid, carrying a basket containing clothes which I was so sure are yet to be washed. “Hey, hope you're not slacking off? There
**Freya's POV***I folded my hands into a fist while she let out a chuckle for what she had just done. “Is this amusing to you? Have you any idea that you just wasted food?”“My goodness! I had no idea, to be honest. I'm so sorry for wasting food. How about this, I'll bring you more food, but only if you scoop up the leftovers and feed yourself. I mean, I need to see how eager you are to eat,” she said with a wicked laugh. At this point, I couldn't hold myself back. Goddess knows this was my breaking point. “You want me to go on my knees and eat from the ground, don't you? Why don't I feed it to you instead?Immediately, I grabbed her by the hair and pulled her down to the ground. “What the fuck do you think you're doing, Freya?!” “Since you've got no respect for food, it's not a bad idea to teach you to respect food!” I yelled as I pushed her head down on the floor. I made sure I dipped her face on the mess she made on the floor. She struggled desperately in my grasp, but she
Arnold's POVI went into the building to start searching for Elizabeth. There were few rogue soldiers around, but I easily slayed them. My mind was all focused on finding my mate first. A few minutes into walking in, I spotted Alan in one of the rooms. “Alpha Arnold…” He mumbled as soon as he saw me. I barely have time to fight anyone right now. I'll deal with him after I find her for sure. Surprisingly, Alan wasn't pleased with the fact that I'm walking away from him. “You cannot leave without a fight. I don't think I'll be able to walk out of this anymore. Let's settle this, you either kill me and go on with your journey or I do so and claim my place as the next Lycan King!" He blurted out. I was so confused but at the same time, it explained why he was siding with Tristan in the first place. “So you decided to side with my enemy just so you could become the next Lycan king. That has to be the dumbest decision you've made.” I said and shook my head in disgust. “Call me stupid o
Tristan's POVI attacked Tyler m, attempting to slay him and he quickly blocked my attack skillfully. He blocked my sword and cut my hand, giving it a small scar. “You gave me a scar. I must say you have honed your sword fighting skills since we last had a duel. But you're forgetting something important, I taught you how to use the sword.” I said and attacked him again.Tyler was quick enough to block me again but this time, I took advantage of my strength and pushed him back till he tripped and fell on his back. He was fast to get up again but I didn't let him regain his composure before I reached him and stabbed him with my sword. The sword fell off Tyler's hand and he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. I pulled the sword from him and heaved a sigh of relief. “You chose the wrong side brother. Maybe if you had decided not to help Arnold, maybe you would have loved enough to see another day.” I said with an evil smile on my face“Sadly, this is the end of the road for you.” I
Arnold's POVWe all halted when a figure slowly emerged from one of the buildings. Standing in front of us all was Tristan. He stood still and was just staring at us in silence. “So, you have finally come to die, Arnold?” Tristan said menacingly. I stared at him, with great urge to just tear him to tiny pieces and feed the parts to wild animals. Tristan's facial expression suddenly changed. He seemed to notice something odd amongst us. “Wayne? What is going on here? You should be in the Blue moon pack.” He said feebly. I finally understood why he suddenly felt perplexed. “I could not keep up with the pace of your cruelty, my lord. You left me no choice.” Wayne replied nonchalantly. “So you decided to betray my trust and side with my enemies. After you served me for so long? I knew your sudden appearance here meant something but I was just too ignorant to accept it.” Tristan said and sighed.Wayne didn't know what to say anymore. He turned to me and shrugged his shoulders. “Trista
Arnold's POVThe soldier left immediately and soon returned with the Alpha of the Blue moon pack. A woman who seemed to be his Luna was with him. He reached us and stopped. “You are the Lycan king…” He said, with his voice vividly shaking in fear. Seeing how scared he was, I was confident he wouldn't refuse to hand the boy over. “Yes, I am. I'm here for my son, Amon. Someone left him here with you, and I want you to hand him over to us immediately.” I commanded. The Alpha was quiet for a while and only stared at me. “You want him? I guess you're going to fight us if we refuse to do that, right? And seeing how few your men are, I'll say you're incapable of winning this fight.” He said menacingly. Stan unsheathed his sword immediately and aimed at his neck. A few of the pack's soldiers also did the same, and we all stood there in silence, waiting for the next person to take the decisive step. “Tell your men to lay down their weapons. You are greater in numbers, but that will absolu
Arnold's POVI walked into the living room and took my seat. “So, how is the preparation going? Are we almost Ready to Match up now?” I asked eagerly. “Oh, we are not ready. We are so not ready.” Wayne said angrily. Tyler winked at him to stop acting up, which he reluctantly obliged to. “I assume he already told you that you'll lead us there. Well, no one else can.” I said to Wayne. Wayne smiled at me faintly and stood up to leave. “I will be in my room, preparing for the journey. When you're all ready to leave, I will join you.” He said and left. I turned to Tyler. “Is there anything left to do here? We should set out soon if there's none. The sooner, the better for us.” I said. “There Should be just a few preparations left before we set out. Oscar, are our men ready?” Tyler asked his Beta. “Yes, my lord, They are all ready. But we did have another few down counts, as more of Alpha Arnold's men were also infected. We have just about fifty percent left of their initial numbers.”
Tyler's POVMy jaw dropped in shock, but I quickly composed myself. I Turned to Havana to see her staring at me intensely. “Well, I missed you too, but just couldn't say it.” I thought to myself. Havana drew closer to me slowly, before planting a kiss on my lips. She slowly pulled away from me and stared into my eyes. “I missed you too, Havana.” I said and pulled her closer again. We kissed hungrily as she held me firmly. After a short while, we pulled away from each other to catch our breath. I stood up and held Havana. “We Should head to my room, someone might walk in here at any moment.” I said and started walking away. Havana obliged and walked came with me. We both headed for my quarters immediately. After avoiding the maids and guards around as much as we could, we finally reached my room. I shut the door and heaved a sigh of relief. Turning around, I was spooked when Havana suddenly pulled me closer and kissed me hungrily. She rubbed my chest as our lips parted, “Take of
Arnold's POVI walked back into the room after shutting the door. “I am so famished, it feels like I haven't eaten in months!” I exclaimed and sat down. I soon started eating, and it tasted way better than I expected. After a while, I finished eating and went out to see Tyler. “He Should be somewhere in the Living room or something, your majesty.” The maid I asked Tyler's room for replied. I thanked her and headed to the living room. As she said, Tyler was indeed in the living room, sitting alone. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice I had come in until I cleared my throat. Tyler looked up and saw me. “Your Majesty, it is quite late already. You should be resting as the journey might have taken a toll on your body.” He blurted out.“You should not be worried about that. What lies further ahead is way more important than mere sleep. As Wayne said, your brother would do anything possible to win this battle.” I said. As soon as I mentioned his brother again, Tyler stopped
*Arnold's POV* Still lost and void of a way out of the situation we were currently in, Things were seemingly going bad. “What I am saying is that, there is absolutely no way I would join this fight if there are not enough men. We should be twice their numbers to be able to have a chance at winning this battle!” Wayne stated. Even though he was right, I just didn't want to accept that he is. There was nothing we could think of now that the battle is at hand. “There's nothing we can do anymore now. Overanalyzing the situation would not result in any solution.” I stated. Wayne stared at me furiously, but he could not just exert his anger fearing getting slayed by Stan. “We have to think of something, Your Majesty. If we go ahead and attack Alpha Tristan without proper preparation, there will be no way out of this.” He said. “I hate to say this, but he's right, Your majesty. My brother would definitely be prepared for whatever way the battle Is coming. Attacking or defending his l
Tristan's POVI reached the Rogue village again. Karl was in the living room when I walked in. “You are back. Did you, by any chance, leave with your Beta? He seemed to have disappeared after you left.” Karl asked. “Wayne? He was in here when I left. Did he leave without your knowledge or something?” I asked. Karl shook his head. “I am certain that he didn't leave yet. The guards at the gate said they didn't see him leave. My thoughts were that he left with you.” He said. I was beginning to get confused. Wayne was in the living room when I left, and he was surely going to leave after I did. “Maybe he left without anyone see him do that. I already asked him to go back to the Blue moon pack. And I don't think there's something to be worried about.” I said. Karl sighed. “I don't understand why, but I just felt it was suspicious. He suddenly came here without being asked for and also left in the same way he came.” He said. I was still so confused, too. “Wait, did he by any Cha
