Olive heard the noise and she worriedly stepped out of the bed. What was happening there?
“Wayne?” she called weakly. She couldn't breathe properly.
“Wayne,” she called again and took slow steps forward. She kept walking slowly until she reached the door. She opened it and came face to face with Wayne.
“Hey,” she hailed and he smirked.
“Missed me already?” he asked with mischief laden in his voice. She rolled her eyes and looked out of the hallway.
“I thought I heard a noise,” she stated.
“I mistakenly broke a vase. That's all,” he shrugged and held her waist.
“It's cold out here in the hallway. Let's go back inside,” he said and helped her walk back into the room.
“I'm worried, Wayne,” Olive mumbled and hugged his arm as he walked with her to the bed.
“You don't have to be. Everything's under control,” he whispered and patted her hair gently with his palm. His thumb rubbed soothingly on her forehead and he bent down to
(OLIVE'S VISION PART 1)Lois, a petite, beautiful brunette—hated her boss so much she often imagined breaking his nose. Who wouldn't want to break Elijah Stern's nose? He was such a freak and psychotic human, and all his employees detested him.Lois had to rush home for dinner with her family in two hours, but could she? Elijah Stern had given her double of her work and she couldn't leave the company in the next five hours. She had to send five different emails to over a different hundred clients, and she had to scan a bulk of hard copy documents into the company's system. That was too much work for her to do under three hours. She decided to call her mother and apologize.“Hello, Mom,” she began, with her eyes still glued to the monitor and her fingers moving quickly over the keyboard. The phone was tucked between her ear and upraised shoulder.“Please, don't tell me you are not coming for dinner,” her mother said immediately she picked up the call. Lois closed her eyes and sniffed.“
(OLIVE'S VISION PART 2)After Lois's long bath, she got dressed in one of her old dresses and blow dried her hair with her brother's blow drier. She walked to the dining room and helped her mother set the table.“Where is Dad and Percy? I checked his room and he wasn't there,” she said to Rebecca.“They both went to get some wine. I didn't know we had none for the dinner,” Rebecca replied.“All right,” she mumbled.“Hey are you alright?” Rebecca inquired after finding out her daughter looked rather gloomy.“No. I just found out Walter Lance is having a match here soon. And I can't afford the ticket,” she answered.“Oh, my poor baby. It must be the VIP match I heard about. It's limited to a few people so they made the ticket expensive in order to check some people out,” Rebecca cooed.“Yeah. Not fair though.”“Don't worry, you'll get to see him another day.” Rebecca kissed Lois's forehead and entered the kitchen. The front door opened then and Percy walked in with their Dad. They were
(OLIVE'S VISION PART 3)Finally, it was the Saturday of the match. Lois couldn't wait to watch the game and she even got a new hairdo for the event. She had her nails done, got a very nice sports wear and bought a new pair of shoes. It was a VIP event, so she wanted to look like a VIP.She took one last look at herself in the mirror. Her white joggers were neat and fitted her white sneakers. She wore a fancy white crop top and a baseball hat, with her ponytail sticking out from it.“I look superb!” she squealed and jumped happily.“I bet Walter Lance is going to see me dazzling in the stands”, she joked and twirled around. She then looked at her wristwatch and it was thirty minutes to the time of the match. She grabbed her white fanny pack and clasped it over her arm then walked out of her room. She entered her kitchen and took a bottle of soda, gulped it down and returned it to the fridge. Then she headed out of her house. She entered her Uber and in a few minutes, she was off to the
(OLIVE'S VISION FINAL PART)Walter had his face shielded with a face mask and was also wearing a face cap. He was sitting on one of the benches in the reception hall and had his arms crossed. A few minutes later and the door by the right opened, revealing Lois in a sling.“Hi,” she said with a smile as she walked out, accompanied by a nurse.“Hey,” he said and got up.“That hurt I guess. I kept hearing you wincing and all that,” he added then pointed to her arm. Lois furrowed her brows.“You heard that? But they had rubbed a numbing cream on it so I didn't feel too much pain while wearing the sling. Plus, my winces were pretty low. How did you hear me from here or were you standing by the door?”Walter smiled and scratched the back of his neck.“I might have...eavesdropped a little. I wanted to make sure you were okay,” he answered and she flushed.“Really? Thank you so much,” Lois said sweetly and hugged him, much to his surprise. She was acting so familiar with him when they had just
Wayne didn't allow Olive do anything on her own after she woke up, even when she was obviously looking fine. He said her body needed rest because of her ‘too fast of a healing’.“Dude! I was sleeping for three days!” she would nag but he wouldn't listen.“Yes. But your blood didn't flow well. So, you have to mellow down or you'll get a stroke. Just let your body get used to you being awake first. Move around but don't you go to the Circular Cabinet or the kitchen. If you want coffee, let me know,” he had said.Olive glared at him and he glared back. Finally, she gave up and slumped on the bed. She had been sitting there and watching a movie on his tablet ever since. He went to meet up with a few officials and warned her not to leave the quarters.Olive had thought he was just being too sensitive regarding her health, but it was because he was scared. They had not realized who planned the attack on her yet.The strange doctors they finally arrested died after entering their custody. It
Wayne could feel how Olive was just standing and looking back at him.“What is it?” he asked with his eyes closed.“You...you look like him,” she stated.“Like who? Shem?” he asked with a bored tone.“Walter. The guy from my vision. He was so strikingly handsome and now I see that you both look so alike,” she explained but Wayne only heard the strikingly handsome part. He flung his eyes opened and glared daggers at her. She was surprised by that.“Hey, what's with the daggers in your eyes? Stop it!” she protested.“He was so strikingly handsome? Have you ever used that word on me? Now you're using it on a stranger you haven't even met in person?” he asked. Olive's mouth fell open.“Jeez, Wayne... I was just trying to explain something to you,” she answered.“You just got on my nerves. Calling another man what you should be calling me. Heck! You've never complimented me that way when you know fully well that I'm the most good looking man in your life!” he pounded his already curled fis
Wayne was getting very crazy about Olive but was putting on a very fake layer of sanity. He was acting sane, hiding the raging monster inside of him. He was scared he would hurt her, hurt his mate. He had his tiny fears, which was why he had been holding back from ‘touching’ her ever since. But Mufasa said it was fine. That he could control it no matter what because he loved his mate.‘Love,’ the word rang in his head. He loved Olive. All of a sudden, he sprang away from her and stood feets away.“Wayne?” Olive called, totally startled by what he just did.“What happened?” she asked. He staggered back and his eyes began to flash between red and gold uncontrollably, the blue pushed back completely.“Wayne!” Olive shouted because he had fallen to the floor, his veins popping out. Wayne was gasping for air as he struggled on the ground.“Baby! Someone help!” Olive shouted louder as she knelt beside him and tried to hold him down. The next second, she was flung away into the air and lande
“I'm sorry. But I already did.”Every eye in that room widened at Olive's words. They were shocked even though they knew the graveness of the matter. If not for Ami, Olive would have been long dead by Wayne's hands. And this wasn't the first time it had happened.“Olive,” Dolly called gently, begging her with her eyes to please reconsider her decision. She had never seen her brother care so much for anybody. She had hope for her brother because of Olive. But if she leaves...Wayne would even become worse.“Please, don't... don't do this to him,” Shem pleaded too. Vanessa was not there because she had gone back while Olive was in that vision.“Olive,” came Jericho's voice. In all this, Wayne just stood like a dry tree. Unmoving and lifeless. His eyes welled up with liquid which didn't fall. But one could tell that what she said had broken him totally. Mufasa was the only one not looking surprised or shocked. He just kept peering at Olive as if he could see her soul and would then glance
