“Wayne?” she called weakly. She couldn't breathe properly.
“Wayne,” she called again and took slow steps forward. She kept walking slowly until she reached the door. She opened it and came face to face with Wayne.
“Hey,” she hailed and he smirked.
“Missed me already?” he asked with mischief laden in his voice. She rolled her eyes and looked out of the hallway.
“I thought I heard a noise,” she stated.
“I mistakenly broke a vase. That's all,” he shrugged and held her waist.
“It's cold out here in the hallway. Let's go back inside,” he said and helped her walk back into the room.
“I'm worried, Wayne,” Olive mumbled and hugged his arm as he walked with her to the bed.
