KANE

I clutched my head in pain as my lungs burned from screaming too much. Dane's screams as well as Zane filled my ears, the pain kept intensifying and it became nearly impossible to bear.

"What the fuck is happe- Arrgh!!" Zane's words were cut off by a scream as a fresh wave of pain filled my head.

I could tell that the pain we felt had something to do with our bond as triplets, the excruciating pain I felt, was shared, both Dane and Zane felt it too.

A warm sensation filled my head and I felt warm liquid trickle down my nostrils, my hands instinctively touched it, and my eyes widened as I saw it. It was blood. The ringing in my head still didn't stop.

I heard the faint sounds of the door opening downstairs and panicked light footsteps echoed in my ears as someone ran up the stairs.

Our door was pushed open almost violently, it revealed my father and Maya by his side.

"Boys, what's going on?" He asked in shock, his eyes flickered from one boy to the other. Since we were kids,

SIERRAMy eyes opened slowly, my vision was blurred as the lights shone almost blinding me. The surroundings looked and smelt very familiar, I rubbed my hands over my face in a bid to clear my vision. My hands instinctively grabbed my head as I released a muffled groan. It felt as though a blacksmith was living in my head, hitting metals to his heart's content."She's awake!" A voice called out sounding very relieved.Footsteps hurried towards me. I struggled to keep my eyes open. "Sierra, are you okay?" The voice sounded muffled.A sharp shrill sound kept resounding in my ears, while my head kept banging nonstop."Sierra!" A warm hand grabbed mine, squeezing it tightly."It's okay now, we are here." Another voice said it was reassuring, "You don't have to worry, we are here now." He added. My eyes fluttered open, and the faces of three young men hovered around my view."How are you feeling?" One of them asked.I grunted as I tried to stand. "Zane?" CLAIRE"Where is this damn rogue?" I whined, swatting at another fly that perched on my arm.I got tired of waiting and was about to head back when I saw his hulky figure approaching. "About damn time," I said to him when he got close. He was putting on a mask that had the symbol of a skull and my hands itched to take it off and see the face behind the mask but I restrained myself."Your plans failed, you could have alerted us that the bitch was dangerous, a heads up would have been good. You sent my men out there to die." He sounded mad."Wait, hold up…what do you mean dangerous? That bitch can't even hurt a fly, you could have been mistaken or just looking for an excuse as to why you fucked up the mission." I snapped back at him. I couldn't believe that yet again, he managed to fail at another mission, "What's so hard about killing Sierra?”"Fucking hell!" He swore and grabbed my neck. "My men, wiped out and you can't even acknowledge your mistake."I tried to free my neck from his

SIERRAThe boys had gone leaving me to think all by myself, I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling. My body felt drained from running through the forest, my legs hurt and the scratches on them had dried blood stains on them. I pushed myself off from the bed to the bathroom to wash the dirt off my skin. Switching on the shower head, I waited till the water was heated before washing myself. I allowed the water to run through my scalp washing away the shampoo I washed with earlier. My head felt calm and the ache was almost gone, I could barely feel it. After scrubbing clean, I rinsed off the soap and wrapped a clean towel around my body. The fresh air hit me and the scent of grapes and lavender filled my nostrils. "I feel as good as new," I muttered to myself smiling as I headed to my wardrobe for a change of clothes. As I scanned through my clothes, my mind wandered back to the incident that occurred in the forest, the hungry looks on their faces, the way saliva dripped down their

SIERRAI sat on my bed looking at Zane with a frozen expression on my face. First, I wasn't expecting him to drop by and secondly, I hadn't thought about it yet. He moved closer, "Did you hear what I asked?" He asked coming closer to me.I nodded as a hiccup escaped me."Are you alright?" He asked staring at me with a puzzled expression on his face."I'm fine," I replied, turning away from him so he couldn't see my facial expression. My mind wandered to what had happened before the rogue attack, Zane fighting Kane because he had pissed me off, and Kane telling me that he couldn't trust me because I was hiding something from him. I had thought we were heading somewhere, I had thought that perhaps we had a chance but I was wrong, it was way too risky, I had caused a lot of trouble because of my involvement with the boys, they had argued and fought just because of me.I still couldn't forget the incident that happened between Kane and me in the library, Zane and Dane weren't that bad,

KANEMy father’s gaze was hard, I could tell that he was not happy with my recent behavior. It wasn't my choice to act in a manner that annoyed him, I just couldn't pretend that everything was fine when it wasn't. "I asked you a question Kane." His voice was low, I could tell my silence was testing his patience.I stole a glance at Sierra, her eyes were focused on the ground, and it was almost impossible to tell what she was thinking. "It's nothing, Dad," I muttered under my breath."Don't give me that lame excuse." His eyes were disappointed. "I have listened to how you constantly make her feel bad with this attitude of yours, I'm tired of it." I remained silent listening to him speak, there was no excuse I'd say at the moment that would ease his anger. "Since you're not ready to speak so we can settle the dispute between you two, you leave me no choice then." My father said in a resigned tone.By the tone of his voice, I knew he had something up his sleeves, and he didn't mind u

SIERRASlowly, my eyes drifted open, my vision blurred as a glass from the broken windscreen pierced deep into my flesh as blood gushed out nonstop. I could recall my argument with Kane and the next thing I knew, I was sitting upside down deep in the woods. I tried turning to my side but the pain in my neck made it impossible. "Kane?" I called but there was no answer. My legs were stuck in the air and my breathing came out in gasps."Kan.." my voice trailed off as I became groggy. But still no answer, ignoring the pain in my neck, I turned to the driver's seat, the door was still locked but he wasn't there in his seat. My eyes landed on the wide gap in the windscreen, and horror filled my being, I kept shaking my head hoping and praying that I was wrong. In a panic, my fingers struggled to find the doorknob, finding parts of an already damaged car that was turned upside down was not an easy task. After several attempts, I managed to find it, I pulled at it but the door didn't budge.

KANESierra released a gasp and I sent her a look, quickly her hands went to her mouth as she slammed it shut. "Sorry." She mouthed. The sounds of boots matching around the small cottage filled my ears, I tried to pick up any familiar smell but all I could perceive was stale sweat from the bodies of dirty men. From the sounds of their boots, as they tried to step on dried leaves and branches without alerting anyone, I could tell that they were well-trained. But despite their efforts, I could still hear their movements loud and clear, thanks to my heightened hearing. "Why do you think they are here?" Sierra's warm lips touched the skin in my ear as she whispered. She was leaning towards me while standing on her toes. I wanted to tell her to shut the hell up, but as my eyes met hers, I fell silent, her eyes were wide with curiosity and I could see the fear in them."I have no idea, but we'll find out soon," I replied in hushed tones. She nodded and remained silent for a minute."What

SIERRAI wrapped my arms tightly around Kane's neck as he devoured my lips, I could feel his claws graze my back slightly as his hands roamed all over my body. His wolf was threatening to come out.His hands went underneath my bum and pulled me up so that I straddled him as we stood. I could feel his groin getting hard as we kissed.Slowly, our lips parted but his arms still held me tight and my legs wrapped around him, pulling him close.Feeling naughty I grinned as I moved my hips seductively humping him in the process. His eyes lifted to me in surprise."What are you doing?" He asked with a small smile playing on his lips."This." I leaned towards him with mischief swimming obviously in my eyes as I leaned down and placed my lips on his, just as he parted his lips to deepen the kiss, I pulled away laughing."Don't you tease me, Sierra," He drawled moving in to steal a kiss and that instant, I sent him another hump and he groaned closing his eyes. His hand moved around my neck pulli

SIERRAI tightened my grip on the edge of my chair, watching as the old woman’s face darkened. Her fingers, which had been lightly tracing the rim of her teacup, suddenly went still. A heavy silence filled the room.“Whispering?” she repeated, her voice sharp. “Controlling minds?”I nodded. “Yes. It’s been happening for a while now.”She exhaled slowly, her eyes narrowing in deep thought. “That means their strength has grown… But how?”I swallowed hard, my mind racing. “They’ve been trapped in that cave all this time. There’s no way they could’ve fed on anyone.”The woman drummed her fingers against the wooden table, her expression unreadable. “Then something, or someone, is feeding their power,” she murmured.A shiver ran down my spine. The idea of those monsters getting stronger despite being locked away made my stomach churn. “But how is that possible?”She sighed. “Magic has loopholes, child. Nothing is ever completely sealed away. If they can reach minds beyond their prison, that

SIERRAI stared at the old woman, my heart pounding. Her words made no sense, yet something about them felt strangely familiar.“You bloody fools always refusing to die and getting old,” she had said, smiling at me like she knew me.I exchanged glances with Alpha Thane and the others before stepping inside. The house smelled of herbs and old wood, a cozy yet mysterious scent. The woman moved slowly, but her presence was powerful. She led us into a small sitting room where a fireplace crackled softly.“Sit,” she said, waving her hand toward the chairs. “I’ll get some tea.”I hesitated but nodded, settling into a worn-out chair. Alpha Thane and the boys followed, their eyes scanning the room. There were shelves filled with books, jars of strange ingredients, and old photographs scattered across a wooden table. Everything about this place felt ancient. The woman returned with a tray of teacups, setting it down gently on the small wooden table in front of us. The scent of herbs filled the

SIERRAI couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The girl from the group was holding up an old picture, her fingers brushing the edges like she was proud of it. She looked at it, then back at me, and pointed at the people in the photo.“Do you know them?” she asked, eyes wide with curiosity.I squinted at the photo, my heart racing in my chest. The image was faded, but the faces were clear. There was no mistaking it. They looked exactly like me and the boys.“How... how do you have that picture?” I asked, my voice trembling slightly, despite myself. The girl smiled softly, almost nostalgically. “I found it in my grandmother’s attic. She had all sorts of old things there.”My mind raced as I tried to process this. My ancestors. How could she have something so personal? How did it end up with her family?I glanced at the picture again, studying the faces in more detail. It was strange, but there was something about the way they looked. The men, and the woman, all shared the same features I

SIERRAThe fighting had finally stopped. Everyone was standing still, waiting for me to speak. I could feel all eyes on me, the weight of their expectation pressing on me. My heart was pounding, but I tried to keep my voice steady.“What’s the plan, Sierra?” one of the locals asked, his voice sharp and full of tension. “We can’t just stand here forever.”I glanced at my family, then turned back to the group. “The vampires are allergic to werewolf bites,” I said, keeping my voice low but firm. “It’ll drive them crazy, and eventually, they’ll die. We need to storm the cave and bite as many as we can. That’s the only way to stop them.”The locals exchanged uneasy glances, muttering among themselves. I could see the doubt in their eyes.“You want us to just go into the cave and risk our lives?” another man asked, his voice shaking with fear. “These vampires are strong, Sierra. They’re not like anything we’ve dealt with before.”I shook my head, my gaze hardening. “They’re not as strong as

SIERRAThe moment we entered the small town, the atmosphere felt thick with tension. The locals eyed us warily, their gazes flickering between me and the Lycan King, Alpha Thane. I could feel their suspicion, their fear. It was clear they didn’t want any trouble, and the sight of my family, especially Thane, seemed to make them even more uneasy.“I can feel their eyes on us,” I muttered under my breath, glancing at Alpha Thane. His expression was unreadable, though I knew he was aware of the hostility too.“We’re not here to cause trouble,” Alpha Thane said, his voice calm but firm. “We just need to talk to them.”But the moment we walked deeper into town, the murmurs from the locals grew louder. Some of them were already retreating into their homes, their doors closing with a soft but swift thud. Others stood, watching us from a distance, with angry eyes. They didn’t want to be involved. They didn’t want to see us here, especially not with Alpha Thane at my side.“I knew this was a b

SIERRAI sat with Dane, Kane, and Zane in the living room, feeling the tension in the air. We had been waiting for Alpha Thane to return for what felt like hours, and the longer it took, the more anxious I became. My thoughts kept drifting to the mission ahead. We were going into dangerous territory, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something could go wrong.Dane glanced over at me, concern written on his face. “You okay, Sierra?”I gave him a forced smile, but I knew it wasn’t convincing. “Yeah, just thinking.”“You sure?” Kane asked, his tone soft. “You’ve been quiet. Something’s on your mind?”I nodded, but I could feel my stomach knotting. “Just... wondering what’s taking Dad so long. He’s usually faster with this kind of thing.”“They probably got held up,” Zane said, shrugging. “You know how Dad is, sometimes he likes to take his time with things.”“Yeah, but this feels different,” I muttered. “We have a dangerous mission ahead of us, and I just don’t know if I’m ready to l

MAYAI woke up with a jolt, my heart racing, and my breath shallow. The dark room felt unfamiliar at first, and I was overwhelmed with fear, my mind clouded with panic. My thoughts were all over the place until I turned my head and saw the soft, rhythmic rise and fall of Kiara’s chest beside me.Her tiny form was sleeping soundly next to me, her small hand curled around the edge of my blanket. My heart settled a little as I stared at her. She was fine. Everything was fine.I breathed in deeply, trying to calm myself. The fear slowly faded as I began to remember everything. The vampire attack, the fight, the confusion… But now, there was peace. The evil thoughts I’d been plagued with were gone, and I could think clearly for the first time in what felt like forever.I heard Thane’s voice behind me, soft but filled with concern. “Maya, it’s okay. Calm down.”I stiffened slightly, but then I saw him. He was standing in the doorway, watching me with that same calm, steady expression he alw

SIERRAI watched Mom disappear into the woods, Alpha Thane right behind her. I could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on me, but I couldn’t let it overwhelm me. My mother was struggling, feeling lost, and I knew the only way to bring her back was to get Kiara back to her.I looked at the boys, all standing around me, trying to make sense of what was going on. Dane spoke up, concern written all over his face. “Do you think she’ll be okay?”I shook my head, feeling a lump form in my throat. “I don’t know. But I do know we need to get Kiara back to her.”Kane stepped forward. “What about the rogues? What if they attack again?”I nodded toward the woods where Mom had gone. “I know. But we can’t lose sight of the bigger picture. Kiara is the key. She’s the one thing that can bring her mother back. We need to make sure she’s safe.”“Stay back. Let her fight it out,” Thane’s voice rang through the trees, pulling me out of my thoughts.I frowned, glancing around at the boys. “Wh

MAYAThe wind had been sharp against my skin as I ran through the woods, my feet pounding the earth, my breath ragged and fast. The trees blurred past me, their branches scratching at my arms and legs, but I barely felt it. I was consumed by the chaos in my mind. I could still hear their voices, those cursed vampires, echoing in my head, forcing their way into my thoughts, twisting everything. My daughter... I almost hurt her. I couldn’t stop replaying the moment over and over, the way I almost lost control, the way they made me feel like I was no longer myself.A wave of anger had built up in me, surging like a storm. I had stopped, thrown my head back, and let out a loud, guttural howl. The sound had torn from my throat, a mix of fury and frustration. It had almost felt like I was trying to shake off the weight of it all. They had no right. No right to do this to me. No right to take over my mind. I should have been stronger. I shouldn’t have let them win.I had paced, my heart raci
