69 The Revenge And Death

It's morning.

The winter sun shone through the clouds on my face and gave it a golden glow.

But I was very serious at the moment, showing a cold air.

I stood at the Palace Gate, which was slowly being opened by two guards.

"Sir, Rodriguez, this way, please. The King and Queen are waiting for you."

I snorted and followed the guard.

The palace today is so quiet that there is not a single servant passing by. The early morning sun had not yet warmed the world, and the bare branches and dark blue cloudless sky still gave a sense of chill.

I walked along the Central Street of the palace, across a square, and came to a tall tower in the middle of the palace.

The nine-story tower is the tallest building in the whole capital. Important ceremonies concerning the royal family, such as the coronation of the king, are held here. Officials and nobles stood in the square looking up at the royal family standing on the balcony of the tower and cheering and kneeling to them.
