Beowulf’s POV

"I know what you're thinking!" The eldest prince was ready to fight. He glared at me, his nostrils widening with anger. His back arched slightly, like a hill.

I got into a fighting pose, too, and sneered. "So, tell me what I'm thinking."

"You're obsessed with that princess! You ignored her sin in order to possess her. And now you're fighting me for her. I thought you weren't interested in women, but you're just a l.ustful and selfish person."

"Whatever you say," I didn't bother to explain. In his eyes, everyone's starting point is self-interest.

"I'm not going to let you get what you want today," he bellowed, charging at me and punching me in the chest.

That was fast.

The eldest prince is a famous warrior in our country. His fighting skills are almost unmatched.

I turned sideways to avoid his fist, but I was still hit in the arm by his fist.

It hurts.

He immediately turned, raised his right leg, ready to attack my lower body.

I can't just be defensive. I have to attack.
